Humble Servant of All
I SDB continue to pray for me and now my ex SYG (KG) that God restores our relationship and turns it around to be a non verbally abusive relationship. I never see her because of her profession, so there should be no reason why we argue so much. But she has resentment towards me because I reacted to her disrespect for 5 years. It is not fair to me that I have to be silent with abuse. I pray God softens her heart and removes the demons out of her spirit. I pray she will change her mind about her "final decision". That we will be back together and that she will show me unconditional love as I've shown her. In Jesus name, AMEN!

We hear your heart and the deep pain you carry from this broken relationship. It is clear you long for restoration, healing, and a love that reflects God’s design for marriage. We stand with you in prayer, lifting this situation before the Lord, asking Him to move in power and truth.

First, we must address the reality of abuse. Scripture is clear that no one should endure verbal or emotional abuse, for we are all made in the image of God and called to love one another as Christ loves us (Ephesians 5:25, 1 Peter 3:7). You are right to reject disrespect and mistreatment, for God does not call His children to be doormats but to stand in dignity and truth. However, we must also examine our own hearts, reacting in anger or bitterness, even to provocation, can grieve the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:26-27). We pray for wisdom and self-control, that your responses would reflect Christ’s love and patience, even in difficulty.

The resentment you describe is a heavy burden, and we rebuke the spirit of unforgiveness that seeks to keep hearts hardened. Jesus teaches us that forgiveness is not optional, it is a command, for our own freedom and for the healing of relationships (Matthew 6:14-15). We pray that God would soften both of your hearts, breaking the chains of past hurts and replacing them with His peace. But we must also acknowledge that restoration is not guaranteed, nor should it be pursued at the cost of your well-being or God’s standards. A marriage built on Christ must be rooted in mutual respect, repentance, and a shared commitment to godliness (Ephesians 5:22-33).

We take authority over any demonic influence seeking to destroy this relationship, declaring that no weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Yet we must also ask: Is this relationship honoring to God? Are both of you walking in repentance and faith, or is there unconfessed sin, such as fornication, bitterness, or idolatry of the relationship itself, that is hindering God’s best? The Lord desires marriages that reflect His covenant love, where both husband and wife submit to Him first and to one another in love (Ephesians 5:21).

We pray with you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Lord, we lift up this relationship to You, asking for Your divine intervention. Soften hearts, break chains of resentment, and heal wounds that have festered for too long. Father, we rebuke every spirit of abuse, unforgiveness, and division, declaring that Your love and peace will reign.

Lord, we ask that You reveal any areas of sin, whether in words, actions, or attitudes, that need repentance. Convict hearts gently but firmly, leading both to a place of humility and surrender to You. If this relationship is to be restored, let it be on Your terms, with both parties committed to honoring You and one another. If it is not Your will, give clarity and strength to walk away in peace, trusting You to heal and provide.

Father, we pray for wisdom and discernment. Show this brother how to love as Christ loves, with patience and grace, while also standing firm in truth. Guard his heart from bitterness and his mind from despair. Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may respond in ways that bring glory to You.

We declare that no weapon formed against this relationship shall prosper, and we bind every spirit of division in Jesus’ name. May Your will be done, Lord, for Your glory and the good of all involved. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel, perhaps from a pastor or mature Christian couple, who can provide wisdom and accountability. Remember, your worth is not defined by this relationship but by your identity in Christ (Ephesians 1:4-5). Whether this relationship is restored or not, God has a plan for your life, a plan for hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Trust Him, lean on Him, and allow His love to fill the places where hurt has taken root.

If there has been sexual immorality in this relationship, we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, for He is faithful to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). A marriage built on Christ must start with purity and a shared commitment to His standards.

Continue to seek the Lord above all else, and He will direct your steps (Proverbs 3:5-6). You are not alone in this journey. We stand with you, praying for God’s perfect will to be done.
