Restoration of broken relationship

Disciple of Prayer
Good day, I ask for prayers to restore my relationship with my partner, we are now seperated, I also ask for prayers for employment and financial restoration. Thank you

We have heard your request for restoration of your relationship and for employment and financial restoration and we bring these burdens before the Lord together in Jesus name.

We want to speak lovingly and truthfully about the relationship you mentioned. You refer to your partner and that you are now separated. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant between a man and a woman ordained by God. Genesis 2:24 says a man will leave his father and his mother and will join with his wife and they will be one flesh. Matthew 19:6 says What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate. We believe courtship between a man and a woman should be with the purpose of discerning marriage to another Christian believer, not simply partnership. 2 Corinthians 6:14 says Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity. And Hebrews 13:4 says Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

If this relationship has involved living together or sexual intimacy outside of marriage, we gently rebuke that because the Bible calls this fornication and it separates us from Gods best. 1 Corinthians 6:18 says Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. If there has been sin in this area we encourage you both to repent and to seek forgiveness. 1 John 1:9 says If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. True restoration begins with each person being restored to right relationship with God. If you were married and are now separated, Gods heart is for reconciliation and forgiveness where possible. 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 speaks to husbands and wives not separating and if separated to remain unmarried or be reconciled. If you were not married, we encourage you to step back and seek Gods will whether this relationship is one that honors Him and should move toward godly marriage, or whether He is leading you to release it and trust Him for a godly spouse who will love the Lord with you. Romans 8:28 reminds us that We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Joel 2:25 also gives hope that God can restore the years that have been lost when we turn to Him.

We also lift up your need for employment and financial provision. The Lord knows your needs and He is our provider. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Matthew 6:33 says But seek first Gods Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. We encourage you to seek work diligently as unto the Lord, for Colossians 3:23 says Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men. As you are faithful in stewardship and trust Him daily, He will open doors in His timing. Jeremiah 29:11 says For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

We noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to lovingly share that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that we are saved. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. Acts 4:12 says There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To be saved we must repent of our sins and believe in our hearts that Jesus died for our sins and rose again and confess Him as Lord. If you have not already done so we encourage you to place your full trust in Jesus today and to call upon His name in every prayer.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one to You. Lord we ask for Your will to be done in this relationship. If it is Your will and if this relationship can honor You in holy marriage between a man and a woman who both love You, we ask You to bring healing, forgiveness, repentance and reconciliation. Soften hearts, remove bitterness and pride, and teach them to love as You love and to forgive as You have forgiven us in Ephesians 4:32. If this relationship is not Your will or is not built on Your principles, give clarity and peace to release it and give hope for the future and for a godly marriage that honors You if You so ordain. Lord we also pray for employment and financial restoration. Open doors for honest work, provide for every need, and give wisdom to be a good steward of what You provide. Draw this dear one closer to Jesus, deepen faith, and let Your peace guard heart and mind. We ask that You be glorified in every area of life and that Your perfect will be done. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Thank you for letting us pray with you. We can hear how painful it is to be separated from your partner while also carrying the weight of needing work and financial stability. It is a lot to hold at once, and we want you to know you are not forgotten.

One thing that has helped others walking through separation is remembering that restoration, when it is possible, is not just about getting back together quickly but about both people choosing to rebuild trust and care with honesty over time. That kind of healing often needs space for reflection on what led to the distance, and support from someone wise who can walk with you individually even before you can work on things together.

A steady next step could be to connect with a trusted pastor or counselor in your community this week, someone who can listen to your story in person and help you think through both the relationship and the practical employment needs. If you do not already have that support, your local church or a community job assistance program can often help with both.

Father, we lift our friend to You today. We ask for Your comfort in loneliness, Your wisdom for each decision about this relationship, and Your provision for work and daily needs. Bring healing where there has been hurt, give clarity and peace as next steps become clear, and draw each heart closer to You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your request has been heard and it carries a weight that many know well, for to have a broken heart and broken hopes is to be as one whose bones are broken within him. There is a psalm that prays, that the bones which You have broken may rejoice, and that is not a prayer that the pain would merely grow quiet or become indifferent, but that God Himself would heal and make to rejoice what sin and sorrow have bruised.

We do not take lightly the pain of separation, nor the burden of needing employment and provision, and we desire to pray for you according to the word of God and not according to our own wishes. The greatest restoration any of us needs is not first to another person, but to God Himself. Scripture declares that all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself by Jesus Christ, and that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto Himself. Our own righteousness is as a chain with broken links, not one link remains whole before a holy God, and therefore we cannot bring our own goodness to Him. He has provided a perfect righteousness in His Son, who was made sin for us who knew no sin, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. His own heart was broken upon the cross that He might bind up the broken hearted. If you have not already done so, turn to Him with a broken and contrite heart, for that sacrifice He will not despise, and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

Concerning the relationship from which you are now separated, we cannot ask God to bless or to restore any union apart from His holy design. Marriage is the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and the privilege of one life and one home together belongs within that covenant. To live together or to share the intimacies of marriage outside of it is not the path of blessing, and a wall broken down leaves the heart open to all evil. For that reason we will not pray that God would simply restore what was as it was. We will pray that He would lead you to repentance where repentance is needed, to seek His will above your own desires. If this relationship can be made honorable before God in a lawful and lifelong marriage covenant, we pray He would give you both wisdom, purity, counsel from faithful believers, and restraint until such a covenant is made. If it cannot be so ordered according to His word, we pray He would give you grace to accept His ordering, to find your wholeness in Christ, and to have your broken bones healed rather than merely patched over.

For your need of employment and financial restoration we pray more freely, for God is pleased to give His people employment in His vineyard and to provide for their daily bread through honest labor. We pray that the Lord would open a door for work suited to your hands, that He would keep you from despair in poverty and oppression, and that He would teach you to look away from yourself to Jesus Christ the healer of broken hearts, who knows the weight of want. Whether He restores abundance or teaches contentment with little, we pray He would build up the walls of your life in holiness, steadiness, and diligence, so that your thoughts and ways may be kept within His good bounds.

May the Lord grant you not only relief, but true rejoicing. May He show you that He can make a broken bone stronger at the place of mending than it was before, and that He delights to take a broken spirit and make it new. Seek first reconciliation with God through the blood of His Son, walk in the light of His commands, and trust Him to order your steps concerning both your relationships and your daily provision.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing your heart and allowing us to pray with you. We have brought your requests before the Lord and we grieve with you over the pain of separation and the burden of employment and financial needs.

Above all we prayed first for your reconciliation with God, because the greatest restoration we can know is the one Christ has made possible. Through His life, death and resurrection He has removed punishment, brought remission of sins, and opened the way for us to be adopted as children of God. It is through Jesus Christ alone that we are saved and have peace with God, and it is from that restored relationship that every other part of life finds its true order and hope.

Regarding your relationship, we have prayed that God would bring healing and clarity according to His perfect will and His design for good. Scripture teaches that marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that sexual intimacy and living together belong within that covenant. Because we want God's best for you, we have not asked Him simply to restore the relationship as it was, but to work in both of your lives for holiness, wisdom and repentance where needed, and to lead you both into what honors Him. If it is His will for this relationship to continue, we have prayed that He would lead it toward a Christ centered marriage marked by commitment, purity and faithfulness. If not, we have prayed that He would give you grace to walk in obedience, to seek purity, to forgive as Christ has forgiven you, and to trust His future for you. We encourage you to seek counsel from a faithful local church and to walk closely with believers who can support you in living according to God's Word in this season.

We have also prayed for your employment and financial needs. God knows your needs and He is a faithful provider. We asked Him to open doors for honest and fruitful work, to give you diligence and wisdom in stewardship, and to give you contentment and trust as you look to Him daily for provision. We prayed that even in financial pressure you would experience His peace and that He would use this time to deepen your dependence on Christ.

May the Lord draw you nearer to Himself, fill you with His Spirit, and guide your steps by His Word. We encourage you to continue in prayer, in reading Scripture, and in fellowship with God's people as you seek His will.
