Rescue Me From the Bottomless Pit of Lonleiness

Humble Prayer Warrior
Dear Lord Jesus,

I am the black sheep of my family. The only boy out of four kids, and I still live with my parents while my three sisters, too older and one younger have moved on the two older ones are married and have kids while my youngest one is engaged. I have nobody to love. I want to move on with life and I wanna leave. I wanna get married someday have somebody that’s right for me and here’s what I’m specifically asking. No trying to put me on dating shows people have tried doing that and that is offensive to me, especially with my ### People are hooking up with girls that I’m not attracted to and I feel highly offended. I’m highly picky person and I don’t see any sin in that I’m straight I like women I’m a man I try to be careful with my standards. I like pretty women and I want you to know that there are only about six celebrities that I’m attracted to, but only one of them. I truly respect. She’s much older than me. She cares about your people in poverty and animals and she’s a model and ambassador she aged pretty well despite being in the sun, she’s nice and skinny and tall. No, I do not wanna go after she’s much older than me and the chances of me ever even meeting her are very very slim because many people don’t know her the others they support pride and LGBT and do a lot of biblical things that you had forbidden them to one of them even married an atheist to really detest you after his dad died Both raised Catholic. He ended up turning on you. She was raised Catholic married him, and gradually fades away to being more mix with Buddhism.

I want a woman that I’m attracted to who will age well and make good choices and biblically moral leaves in you Jesus Christ not fall for any traps and won’t have sex with me until after marriage and try to be careful too so we don’t have any accidents if we do we take care of the baby worst case scenario doesn’t drink doesn’t smoke frugal and spends money well and can have high respect for me and can be grateful

Well, I may be picky. Very few women I’m attracted to there have been several older women. I’m in my ###. I’ve been in love with women in their ### even when I was in my ### even when I was a teenager a late teenager.

So that means pretty women age well in my eyes. At least that’s a nice thing for people become shallow and only like younger pretty women and I have liked women younger than me, but I see them aging well. They age better when they stay healthy and avoid drinking smoking drugs, another bad things and over eating and staying in shape like they should not do gluttony and simple things

But I also need to try to move out and get a better job that’s more fitting for me. I’m stuck cleaning up after animals at a ###, humiliated overheated, and dying and too tired to do things during the day because I suffer with that. I need to move out into a better home that’s more fitting for me and not making me tired. I pray and begged to you, dear Lord Jesus Christ things work for me. I really wanna get myself a girlfriend and eventually marry her same with my best friends who need it? I know two of them would like to. I don’t know about the other two but I do know one is agnostic, but does strongly believe there is a God just doesn’t know who and he’s kind of in love with a girl who supports pride and does not so good things maybe you can help him find a better woman through church. She does attend church. Maybe he’ll find her. We will find her somewhere else or another Christian woman at work While another friend wants a good Christian woman too so please help them find their respective wives as well they some in company with them. I’m the only true bachelor in my Bible study book club. I’m one of the younger ones too, and when it comes to the smaller book club, I’m the youngest, but I’m also the only one not Married But some sporadic ones. We have people that are divorced to divorce divorced the young there’s one younger than me, that’s divorced another older than me divorce divorced please help them find new wives to a new lives.

In Jesus Name Amen.

We hear the deep ache in your heart, brother, and we lift it before the throne of grace with you. Loneliness can feel like a bottomless pit, but we declare that Jesus is the God who draws near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten, you are seen, known, and deeply loved by the One who formed you in your mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-16).

First, we must address the longing for marriage with biblical truth. It is good and right to desire a godly spouse, but we must guard our hearts against idolatry, where the desire for a wife becomes more important than our devotion to Christ. Jesus warned that the cares of this life can choke out the Word if we are not careful (Mark 4:19). Your worth is not defined by your marital status but by your identity in Christ. You are a son of the Most High, called to walk in holiness and purpose whether single or married (1 Corinthians 7:7-8).

Your standards for a wife are not sinful in themselves, but we must examine them in light of Scripture. Physical attraction is a gift from God, but it must not be the foundation of a marriage. Proverbs 31:30 warns that charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. A godly wife is one who loves the Lord with all her heart, walks in purity, and submits to His Word (Ephesians 5:22-24). She may not look like the celebrities you admire, but she will be a woman after God’s own heart. We rebuke the lie that you must settle for less than God’s best, He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all you ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). But we also challenge you to ask: Are your standards rooted in pride, or are they aligned with God’s Word? A woman who fears the Lord is rare and precious (Proverbs 31:10), and we pray that your eyes would be opened to see her as He does.

We also must address the sin of lust that can creep in when we fixate on physical beauty or celebrities. Jesus warned that to look at a woman with lust is to commit adultery in the heart (Matthew 5:28). We encourage you to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5) and to guard your heart diligently (Proverbs 4:23). The women you admire, whether in media or in passing, are image-bearers of God, not objects for your fantasy. We pray that God would purify your desires and align them with His will.

Your frustration with being the "black sheep" of your family is understandable, but we must remind you that God’s timing is perfect. Your sisters’ lives are not a measure of your worth. Joseph was the favored son, sold into slavery, and falsely accused, yet God used his suffering to save a nation (Genesis 50:20). You may feel stuck now, but God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). We encourage you to seek His will for your next steps, whether in your career, living situation, or relationships. Proverbs 16:3 says, "Commit your deeds to the Lord, and your plans shall succeed." Have you sought wise counsel from your pastor or godly mentors about how to move forward in obedience?

We also notice your concern for your friends. It is good to intercede for them, but we must gently warn against enabling unbelief. Your agnostic friend’s eternal soul is at stake. Jesus said, "No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6). We must pray for his salvation, not just his happiness. The woman he is interested in who supports "pride" (a euphemism for the LGBT movement) is walking in rebellion against God’s design for sexuality (Romans 1:26-27). We rebuke the deception that love can coexist with sin. True love speaks the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15) and calls others to repentance. We pray that your friend would encounter the living Christ and turn from his unbelief.

For your divorced friends, we pray for healing and restoration. God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), but He does not hate the divorced. He is close to the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds (Psalm 147:3). We pray that they would seek godly spouses who will help them grow in Christlikeness, not repeat past mistakes.

Now, we come before the Father together, lifting you up in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your son who has poured out his heart before You. Lord, You see his loneliness, his longing for a godly wife, and his desire to walk in Your will. We ask that You would fill the void in his heart with Your perfect love. Remind him daily that he is complete in Christ (Colossians 2:10) and that his worth is found in You alone.

Father, we pray for his future wife, wherever she may be. Prepare her heart to love You above all else. Guard her from the temptations of this world and draw her into a deep relationship with Jesus. Give her a heart of purity, wisdom, and godliness. We ask that You would bring them together in Your perfect timing, not a moment too soon or too late. Let their marriage be a reflection of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:31-32), a testimony to Your faithfulness.

Lord, we ask for wisdom and favor in his career. Open doors for a job that aligns with his gifts and provides for his needs. Give him the courage to step out in faith, trusting You to guide his steps. If it is Your will, provide a way for him to move out of his parents’ home into a place where he can thrive.

We pray for his friends, those who are seeking wives and those who are lost. Draw them to Yourself, Lord. Soften their hearts to receive Your truth. For the agnostic friend, we pray that You would reveal Yourself to him in a powerful way. For the divorced, we ask for healing and restoration. Raise up godly spouses for them who will love them as Christ loves the Church.

Father, we rebuke the spirit of loneliness and despair in Jesus’ name. We declare that You are his portion and his cup (Psalm 16:5). Let him find his satisfaction in You alone. Guard his heart from bitterness, pride, and lust. Fill him with Your peace and joy as he waits on You.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved (Acts 4:12). Thank You for hearing our prayer. Amen.

We hear the ache in your words, the weight of watching everyone else seem to move forward while you feel stuck, the exhaustion of a job that leaves you too drained to even enjoy your day, and the deep loneliness of wanting someone to share life with. That longing is real, and it doesn’t offend God. He sees every detail of what you’re carrying.

You mentioned a better job and a home of your own. Sometimes when life feels overwhelming, the most freeing thing is to take just one concrete step. Could you set aside a little time this week to explore a training program, update a resume, or even ask a trusted person at church if they know of openings that fit your strengths? Physical fatigue from your current work is sapping your hope, and addressing it, even a small move toward change, can help lift the fog. You don’t have to have every answer at once.

Your desire for a wife who loves Jesus and walks in purity is a good, honorable thing. While you wait for that relationship, we hope you’ll lean into the friendships you already have: your Bible study group, your best friends. Sometimes the loneliness is met first by a community that truly sees and supports us. You’re not forgotten.

Lord Jesus, you see this man’s loneliness and his honest hopes for a better job, a place to call his own, and a godly wife. Guide him step by step. Sustain him when the wait feels long, and surround him with friends who remind him he’s not alone. In your timing, bring the right woman, someone who loves you and will honor him as he seeks to honor you. And we ask for his friends too, that they would find godly companions who lead them closer to you. In your name we pray, amen.

I want a woman that I will be attracted to, but I also want her to be Christian so if she is pretty and she doesn’t believe in God cause I’ve met a few women like that before then I refuse to marry them let alone date them. That is, unless I knew of some sort of trick that would that would turn a certain girl that I could be in love with and be a good person. Someday someway turned into a Christian a true Christian that doesn’t support the LGBT community but God’s word.

True prayer proceeds from a heart that has first received Christ Jesus the Lord. You ask to be rescued from a pit of loneliness, yet I must ask a more searching question: Have you been rescued from the deeper pit? There is a deliverance spoken of where a soul is on the brink of destruction, going down, down into that bottomless pit of woe, and divine mercy stops him with the word, "Deliver him from going down to the pit: I have found a ransom." That ransom is not a spouse, a home, or a better trade. That ransom is Christ alone.

You speak of the black sheep and of being slighted. All this may be so, but let it drive you to consider your standing with God. Are you among the living, or are you still spiritually dead? The apostle speaks of being quickened even when dead in trespasses and sins. Have you felt that divine touch, that superhuman energy from above, whereby the Holy Spirit makes the soul alive unto God? Many mistake the imitation of life for the reality. A hypocrite will pray, will speak of morality, will attend a book club and a Bible study, yet his heart is far from God. The great test is this: What is it that you chiefly desire? Is it a wife, or is it the Bridegroom? If Christ is not your all, your very life, you may gain every other request and yet be a pauper at the judgment seat.

Consider the aspect of your life under Job's reckoning: it is an appointed time, a warfare. You groan under your labor, cleaning after beasts, and you pant to be delivered from fatigue and humiliation. Yet here is the comfort for the believer: this life is not eternity. The longest sorrow is but a time. The tide must flow again. The winter will yield to spring. Be humbled then under the chastisement that God permits, and look upon His hand in it all. It is God who lifts our comforts high or sinks them in the grave. Your present distress is a school wherein he would teach you to receive Christ more fully and to walk in him more humbly.

Your very specific desires for a wife, I fear, flow from a heart that is seeking the creature more than the Creator. You say you are picky and see no sin in it. But is this the spirit of one who has received all things as a gift? The life of faith is receiving, not demanding. The soul renewed by grace does not come to God with a list of specifications as if ordering goods from a merchant. It cries, "Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?" You mention a model, an ambassador, one who cares for the poor, and yet you measure her by her frame and her ageing. The renewed heart values first the inward adorning of a meek and quiet spirit, which in the sight of God is of great price. You must spiritualize the secular until every ordinary desire is saturated with godliness. Making religion a show-card to gain a pretty, frugal, respectful wife who fits your standards is but a Judas spirit if it does not spring from a soul first wedded to Jesus.

I do not deny you the desire to marry; it is a thing holy and of good report. But I bid you wait as Job did, "All the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change comes." The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. Good things begin small and increase. Faith in Christ, begun in feebleness, will bring you to a right ordering of all else. Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and every other needful thing will be measured out to you in its proper season. Throw your soul upon the sheer mercy of God in Christ for salvation, and then trust him for daily bread and for a helpmate if he sees fit to send one.

Forget for a little while the sorrow of your loneliness. Go to the cross and look! There is life for a look at the Crucified One. When his invitation comes, answer it: "When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, Lord, will I seek." Do not add to the burden of your soul by fretting over your sisters' marriages, your friends' needs, or the divorces around you. Your first business is to make your own calling and election sure.

When you have truly received Christ, you will find that the misery of this present time shall be remembered as waters that pass away. The bottomless pit of loneliness is filled up by the presence of Jesus. He will be your companion in the pit of exhaustion, your friend in the sterile home. And should he grant you a wife in due time, you will receive her as a token of his love, not as an idol to satisfy a demanding heart. May the Lord speak not merely to your outward circumstances, but to your soul itself, that you may hear because God speaks, and live.

You tell me there is no sin in being highly picky, but examine your heart. You have fixed your eye upon a handful of celebrities, women you have never met, and you measure all others against a fantasy. This is not the mind of Christ, who looks upon the heart. The pretty face and slender form pass away, but a woman who fears the Lord, she is to be praised. You say you respect one for her care for the poor and animals, and that is good, but you then dismiss countless daughters of the church because their appearance does not kindle your flame. Do you not see the contradiction? You desire a wife who will age well, yet you yourself are not exempt from the decay of the body. Cultivate a love for the soul that endures, and you will find beauty where you least expect it.

You are weary and humiliated in your labor, and I do not make light of that. But you ask God to give you a wife while you remain living in your father's house, too tired to seek a better station, waiting for the perfect woman to be delivered to you as if dropped from heaven. This is not faith, but a sluggish hope. Shake off the dust. Seek work that does not crush your spirit, so that you may be fitted to lead a household. A man who cannot govern his own affairs is not ready to govern a family.

Now hear what I would say to those of you with sons. Do not delay their marriage, waiting for them to gather great wealth, for that delay is the devil's door to fornication. Prepare them for a chaste union early, lest the fire of youth consume their resolve. So too I say to you: do not linger in lonely self-pity, but actively seek a godly wife within the fellowship of believers. Yet do so with fear and trembling, not with a list of demands that no fallen daughter of Eve can meet. You are not a merchant inspecting goods; you are a sinner seeking a fellow pilgrim to walk with toward salvation.

Your love must be like the Apostle's, a longing held in check by the fear of God. Paul yearned to see the Romans, yet he submitted his desire to the will of the Master. How much more must you submit your romantic longings to the One who knows what you need before you ask? If He delays, it is not cruelty but medicine for your soul. You are not the potter but the clay. Let your prayer be, "Lord, give me a wife who loves You more than she loves me, and teach me to love her as Christ loved the church." Cease from measuring women by the yardstick of your fantasies, and instead measure yourself by the humility of Christ. Then, whether He grants you marriage or asks you to bear the cross of singleness, you will find the bottomless pit of loneliness filled with the presence of the only One who can truly satisfy the longing soul.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with your heartfelt prayer request. It has been on our hearts and minds these past few days as we have stood in agreement with you, lifting up your loneliness, your desire for a godly wife, and your longing to move forward in life with purpose. We have prayed specifically that the Lord would rescue you from the depths of isolation and draw near to you in ways that only He can. We asked Him to surround you with His presence, to give you comfort in the waiting, and to prepare the path ahead—whether that means leading you to a fulfilling job, a new home, or the woman He has set apart for you.

We have also prayed for the desires of your heart concerning marriage—that God would bring a woman who is not only beautiful in your eyes but even more so in her character, one who loves the Lord, walks in wisdom, and shares your values. We asked the Father to guard your heart from discouragement as you wait and to help you trust in His perfect timing. We prayed that He would refine your standards not by the world’s measure, but by His Word, so that you may seek a helpmate who honors Him and respects you.

We also lifted up your friends—those who are seeking godly relationships and those who are struggling in their faith. We asked the Lord to draw them closer to Himself, to soften their hearts, and to lead them to women who will encourage them in their walk with Christ. We prayed for healing for those who have experienced divorce and for restoration in their lives.

Now, we encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with expectation. If He has already begun to answer your prayers in ways you can see, we would love to hear your praise report so we can rejoice with you. If the answers haven’t come yet, we invite you to post this request again and allow us to keep standing with you in prayer. Either way, we are here for you, believing that God is at work even when we cannot see it.

May the Lord bless you with His peace, guide your steps, and fill your heart with hope as you trust in Him. We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus. Amen.
