Request for Dream job, change, stability, and respect

It’s been a while. I feel like I've been in hiding, just dealing, since I always come here when things are wrong. I did want to begin with a praise report. The court case was dropped as a nonsuit, a year of multiple court dates for something I shouldn’t have owed, but I am still grateful. I am trying to look forward and not worry about them possibly bringing it up again. I am trying my best not to shut down and withdraw into myself while processing things. I am forever grateful to have this job after a long battle with unemployment, and I make a conscious effort to stay thankful throughout. I try my level best every day, and it never seems reasonable enough. It's more than petty squabbles; there is a lack of support and guidance, as well as apparent favoritism. With this economy, I am deathly afraid of being near eviction again or worse. I also know this situation isn’t good for my mental health. I pray for relief, either the ability to do my job and be afforded the same opportunities as the rest of the team. Or to be blessed with a career in my field that pays enough to support my current expenses. Each time someone is laid off, there are more responsibilities pushed upon me, yet I’m told I'm not doing enough. This isn’t sustainable, and I know it can’t be what God has for me. Everything is focused on work; I am too tired to do anything else, and that's no way to live. I pray that I can continue forward and hold on to what God has planned for me, that I won't give up. But I dream, hope, and pray that the right job comes much sooner than later, along with some peace. The grace to remember who I am and how to show up for people outside my job. To have the space, time, and energy for hobbies, and to go on vacation. To live. What used to be the basic stats of what I expected in a role have now become a dream, but I am ready for my dream job and better circumstances. I pray that God bestows it upon me.

We rejoice with you in this praise report, for the Lord has delivered you from the burden of this court case, and we give Him all the glory! It is right to be thankful, even in the midst of trials, for His faithfulness never fails. As it is written, *"In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you"* (1 Thessalonians 5:18, WEB). Your gratitude in the face of hardship is a testament to your trust in Him, and we encourage you to continue seeking His presence daily, for He is your strength and shield.

Yet we also hear the deep weariness in your words—the weight of laboring in an environment where your efforts are not valued, where favoritism and lack of support drain your spirit, and where fear of instability looms like a shadow. Beloved, this is not the abundance of life Christ died to give you. Jesus Himself said, *"The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly"* (John 10:10, WEB). You were not created to be consumed by toil without rest, respect, or reward. The Lord sees your diligence, and He is not unjust to forget your labor of love (Hebrews 6:10). It is not wrong to long for a place where your gifts are stewarded well, where you are treated with dignity, and where you can thrive—not just survive.

We must also gently remind you that while work is a gift from God, it was never meant to define your worth or steal your joy. The enemy would love for you to believe that your identity is tied to your productivity or the opinions of others, but Scripture declares you are *"fearfully and wonderfully made"* (Psalm 139:14) and *"chosen... a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own possession"* (1 Peter 2:9). If your current role is crushing your spirit and leaving no room for worship, community, or rest, then it is time to seek the Lord earnestly for His direction. He may be calling you to stand firm where you are—for now—with supernatural endurance, or He may be preparing a new path for you. Either way, *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will act"* (Psalm 37:5).

As for the fear of eviction or financial ruin, we rebuke that spirit of fear in the name of Jesus, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7). Your Heavenly Father knows your needs (Matthew 6:32), and He is able to provide in ways you cannot yet see. Remember how He parted the Red Sea for His people when their backs were against the wall? He is the same God today. We pray that He would open doors no man can shut (Revelation 3:8), leading you to a role that aligns with your skills, pays your bills, and leaves margin for Sabbath rest. We also pray for divine connections—godly mentors, advocates, or even unexpected opportunities—that will propel you into His perfect will.

But let us also speak truth to the lie that you must earn your keep through exhaustion. Jesus invites you, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light"* (Matthew 11:28–30). Sister or brother, you are not a machine. You are a beloved child of God, and He delights in your well-being. If hobbies, vacations, and simple joys feel like distant dreams, then let us pray that the Lord would restore those gifts to you—*not* as luxuries, but as part of the full life He intends for you.

Lastly, we notice that while your prayer is heartfelt, you did not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom *"we have boldness and confident access"* to the Father (Ephesians 3:12). There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Christ that our prayers ascend as incense before the throne. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you: *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Without Him, even the "dream job" will leave you empty. But in Him, you have hope that transcends circumstances.

**Let us pray together:**

Heavenly Father, we lift up Your child before You, thanking You for Your faithfulness in delivering them from the court case and sustaining them through unemployment into this current role. Lord, You see the toll this job is taking—the sleepless nights, the unmet expectations, the fear of instability, and the slow erosion of joy. We ask that You would intervene mightily. If this is not the place You have for them long-term, then *open the right door* in Your perfect timing. Lead them to a workplace where their gifts are celebrated, where they are compensated fairly, and where they can serve with excellence *without* being crushed by unrealistic demands. Give them favor with those in authority, and let Your peace guard their heart against bitterness or despair.

For the financial fears, we declare Your provision, Lord. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and You will not abandon Your own. Provide for every need—rent, bills, and even the "extras" that bring refreshment to their soul. Help them to steward their resources wisely, but also to trust You beyond their calculations.

Restore to them the time and energy for relationships, hobbies, and rest. Break the cycle of exhaustion that has stolen their ability to *"live and move and have their being"* in You (Acts 17:28). Let them taste the sweetness of Sabbath, even now, as they wait for change.

Most of all, Father, draw them deeper into Yourself. Remind them that their worth is not in their output but in Your love. If they have not yet surrendered fully to Jesus, soften their heart to receive Him as Lord today. Fill them with Your Spirit, that they may walk in power, love, and sound mind—unshaken by the storms around them.

We pray all this in the mighty name of **Jesus Christ**, our Provider, our Peace, and our Redeemer. Amen.

We hear you, dear friend, and we're right here with you. It's been a tough road, but we're so glad you're turning to God in your time of need. We join you in praising God for the dropped court case, a real answered prayer! It's true, in everything, we should give thanks, for that's God's will for us in Christ Jesus (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

We understand the weariness you feel, the weight of the labor, the lack of support, and the fear of instability. It's not easy, and it's not what God wants for you. Remember, Jesus came so that we may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). You deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and fairness. God sees your diligence, and He's not unjust to forget your labor of love (Hebrews 6:10).
