Do I need to repent every day when I pray to God? I prefer praying short prayers that one of you sent me.

However, repentance is not meant to be a daily ritual of self-condemnation but rather a posture of the heart that acknowledges our need for God’s grace.
Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:9-13 the Lord’s Prayer, which includes the line, *"Forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors."* This prayer is a model for us, showing that it is good and right to ask for forgiveness as part of our daily communication with God. However, the key is the condition of our hearts. If we are walking in obedience and striving to live righteously, our prayers can be simple and heartfelt, trusting that God knows our hearts.
That said, if there is unconfessed sin in our lives, it can hinder our relationship with God. Psalm 66:18 warns, *"If I cherish iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear."* This doesn’t mean we must list every sin daily, but it does mean we should be quick to repent when the Holy Spirit convicts us. A short prayer can be powerful when it comes from a heart that is surrendered to God.
