Renewed strength

Beloved of All
Asking for prayers for renewed strength and resilience to face ongoing struggles from abuse and trauma, in Jesus name amen

We join with you in lifting this burden to the Lord and we thank you for reaching out in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we find healing, strength, and access to the Father.

We hear the deep weariness that comes from enduring abuse and trauma, and we want you to know that God sees every wound and every struggle you are still facing. He is not distant from your pain. Psalm 34:18 tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Psalm 147:3 reminds us He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Your suffering is not unseen and your need for renewed strength is a prayer He delights to answer.

The resilience you are asking for does not come from trying harder in your own power, but from waiting upon Him. Isaiah 40:29 says He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. And Isaiah 40:31 promises those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. In our weakness His grace sustains us, as He told the apostle Paul, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness, 2 Corinthians 12:9.

We also pray that the Lord will surround you with safety and godly support as you continue to heal. If you are still in an unsafe situation, we encourage you to reach out for help to a trusted pastor, a mature believer, or a counselor, and to appropriate help for protection. You do not have to carry this trauma alone. The Lord intends for us to bear one another's burdens and to find refuge in the fellowship of believers. Isaiah 41:10 says, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We pray together for you now.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this dear one to Your throne of grace. We ask You to pour out renewed strength and resilience upon them today. Where abuse and trauma have left wounds, bring Your healing touch. Where there is exhaustion, bring rest. Where there is fear and anxiety from what has been endured, bring Your perfect peace that passes understanding. Uphold them with Your righteous right hand and let them feel Your nearness in a tangible way. Renew their mind with Your Word, restore their hope, and help them to wait upon You daily so their strength is renewed like the eagle's. Give them wisdom to walk in safe and godly paths, and surround them with people who will speak truth and love and protect them. We ask that You make Your power perfect in their weakness and that they may know they can do all things through Christ, who strengthens them, Philippians 4:13. We thank You that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, Psalm 46:1. May they continue to seek You and find that You are faithful to carry them through these ongoing struggles. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to stay rooted in prayer and in the Word, to cry out honestly to Him each day, and to allow His promises to renew your mind. Keep pressing into Jesus, for He is your healer, your strength, and your ever present help. We are standing with you and trusting God to restore and strengthen you day by day.

We are holding you in prayer as you ask for renewed strength to face what you have been through and what you are still carrying. Abuse and trauma can leave you feeling worn down and powerless long after the harm, so it makes sense you would feel in need of resilience right now.

One thing that has helped many is learning that resilience is not a fixed trait you either have or lack. It is a process that grows over time through small behaviors, thoughts and actions, and through connection with others. It is often forged in hardship itself, with God's help, and it grows stronger when there is at least one safe, caring person walking with you. That might be a trusted pastor, a Christian counselor, or a steady friend or family member who listens well.

If it would help, consider choosing one safe person to share honestly with this week, and if you are not already connected to supportive care, reaching out to a pastor or counselor you trust for ongoing support alongside prayer. If you ever feel unsafe, please reach out right away for help from someone nearby you trust.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus name. You see the pain and exhaustion from what they have endured. We ask for Your nearness, for renewed strength for each day, for wisdom, protection and healing in the days ahead, and for trustworthy people to come alongside them. Lead them step by step and remind them they are not alone. Amen.

Your cry for renewed strength in the midst of ongoing struggles from abuse and trauma has been heard, and we bring it before the Lord with you in prayer.

Human strength, even at its best, spends itself and fails in due time, for all strength apart from God is derived and measurable and must come to an end. But the strength of God is inexhaustible and eternal, and He has promised to impart it to His own. The Scripture says, they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, and again, as thy days, so shall thy strength be. This is a provision meant to meet weakness, given daily and proportionately, as the day demands. A day of little suffering brings little strength, but a tremendous day that needs you to play the Samson shall have Samson's strength, for He gives strength just where it is needed and of that peculiar kind which the trial demands.

When there remains no strength in you, nor any ability of any kind, then fling yourself upon the Divine strength and lay hold upon it. God Himself says, I will strengthen them, and therefore it will be fitly infused and wisely balanced. The glory of our strength lies not in ourselves, but in God alone, who is the Author of all being and the glory of all strength that His people possess. And remember, when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. You need not first gather strength to come to Him, but come without strength and believe that He died for you, and you shall find life and then strength in Him.

Wonder not if recovery should be slow, and as you grow a little stronger and a little stronger, acknowledge in each increase that the Lord has a new claim upon your affection. The joy of the Lord is your strength, an inward joy which arises from real strength and is linked with it as its cause, enabling you to quietly bide your time and walk up and down in His name.

We pray for you now, that the Lord Himself would renew your strength as you wait upon Him. May He give power to the faint and increase strength to you who have no might. May He grant you resilience not from yourself but from His own Omnipotence, and give you the joy of the Lord to sustain you through darkness. May He heal the wounds of abuse and trauma by His tender mercy, guard your heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and surround you with wise and faithful help within His Church to walk with you toward safety and wholeness. May you know that your strength for each day is secured in Christ alone, through whom alone is salvation, and may you find rest in His finished work while He daily supplies what you need to do your duty and bear your suffering.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our strength and our song. Amen.
