We hear your deep distress and frustration, and we come before the Lord with you, lifting up this difficult situation at your workplace. It is clear that these individuals have caused you pain, and we understand the desire for peace and separation from those who bring negativity into your life. However, we must approach this with a heart aligned with Scripture, seeking God’s will above our own desires.

First, we must address the spirit of this request. While it is natural to want relief from conflict, we are called to love our enemies, pray for those who persecute us, and trust God to bring justice in His time. Jesus teaches us in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you." This does not mean we tolerate mistreatment, but we surrender the outcome to God and ask for His wisdom in how to respond.

We also want to gently remind you that our prayers must be offered in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. John 14:13-14 says, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." Without invoking His name, our prayers lack the authority and power that come from Christ alone. We encourage you to pray in Jesus’ name, trusting in His sovereignty over all situations.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this situation at the workplace, where there is strife and discomfort. Lord, we ask for Your peace to reign in this environment. We pray for wisdom and discernment for all involved, that Your will would be done in this matter. Father, we ask that You would soften the hearts of those causing harm, that they may turn from their ways and seek You. If it is Your will, we ask that You would remove these individuals from this workplace, but we trust in Your perfect timing and plan. Lord, protect this dear one from any further harm or negativity. Fill their heart with Your peace, and help them to respond in a way that honors You. We ask that You would surround them with godly coworkers and supervisors who will encourage and uplift them. Father, we also pray for these individuals, may they come to know You and experience the transforming power of Your love. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

In addition to prayer, we encourage you to seek godly counsel on how to handle this situation biblically. Proverbs 15:22 says, "Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established." Consider speaking with a trusted pastor, mentor, or Christian counselor who can help you navigate this with wisdom and grace. If these individuals are truly causing harm, it may be appropriate to address the situation with your supervisor or human resources in a respectful and professional manner, while also trusting God to work in the hearts of those involved.

Remember, God sees your pain and hears your cries. Psalm 34:18-19 assures us, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Trust in Him to bring justice and peace in His perfect way. We stand with you in this, believing that God is at work even in the midst of this trial.

We hear how draining this work situation has been for you, and how much you want peace and to be left alone to do your job well. Feeling talked about or targeted at work can make every day feel tense, and we are praying with you for relief and wisdom.

Workplace conflict is often less about getting someone else moved and more about finding healthy ways to protect your own peace while still acting with integrity. One helpful way to think about it is that boundaries are like property lines. They clarify what is yours to carry, what language and behavior you will and will not engage with, and where you can choose a calm, professional response even when others do not.

A practical next step that often helps is to get clarity and support outside the immediate tension. If you have a trusted supervisor, HR contact, or mentor at work, consider asking for confidential guidance on how to keep interactions professional and documented, especially if your name is being used negatively. Keeping notes with dates and facts, limiting conversations to work tasks, and responding briefly and respectfully can guard your heart and your reputation without escalating things.

We are also asking God to bring more peace to your department for everyone there.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. Surround them with Your peace at work, guard their name and their heart, and give them wisdom for each conversation and decision. Lead them to wise counsel and to calm, clear ways to handle conflict, and work in this whole department for fairness and rest. Guide their steps according to Your will. Amen.

Praying for your request and you

Psalm 100:4
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and his name.
Mathew 5:44
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
1 Peter 4:8

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
Luke 10:27

He answered, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.
Mathew 7:1-3

7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Isaiah 54:17a
No weapon formed against you shall prosper
Mathew 18:20
20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

Your prayer has been heard, and the burden you carry in your daily labor is known to the Lord who watches over all your ways. It is a heavy trial to feel beset and spoken against where you must work, and to desire relief is natural to the heart pressed by such cares.

Yet the Word of God directs our prayers not toward the removal or harm of others, but toward the peace which comes from trusting Him and the grace to forgive even as we have been forgiven. There is forgiveness with Him, and it is surprising and complete, not measured by our merit but flowing from the blood of Jesus which whispers peace within. The prophet speaks of the one whose mind is stayed upon God, that He will keep him in perfect peace, peace upon peace, because he trusts in Him. This peace is a present possession and may be enjoyed even when duties press and sorrows surge around.

You ask that your name might not be used for evil, and that you might be left in quietness. It is right to ask the Lord to guard your good name and to keep your heart from bitterness, and to commit those who trouble you into His hands. He has not taught us to pray that others be cast out, but to pray that we may be kept, that we may forgive as Christ forgave us, and that He would work in every heart for His glory. Forgiveness as Christ forgives is continuous and eternal, and when we have received so much, to forgive others should become as natural as to open our hands. To overcome evil with good, with love and patience, is the most glorious of victories.

So we will pray with you and for you, that the Lord would grant you this perfect peace, that He would guard your lips and your name, that He would give you wisdom and grace in your department, that He would soften every heart concerned and cause His will to be done. May He teach you to bear your sorrow with Him, to trust Him with those who oppose you, and to rest in the assurance that there is forgiveness with Him for all who seek it through Jesus Christ His Son.

We pray that the Lord would keep you in His perfect peace, that He would cleanse your heart from anger and fill you with His love, that He would be your defender and your keeper at your work, and that He would conform you more and more to the likeness of Christ, in whom alone is salvation and rest.
