We have heard your cry and we join with you in bringing this heavy burden before the Lord, for we know how painful and exhausting it is when the very household that should be a place of peace becomes a source of stress, unhappiness and heartache.
We understand the desire to have those who cause pain removed far from you, yet we want to gently share what the Word teaches us about how to pray in such a situation. Our first call is not to ask God to push people away out of bitterness, but to ask Him to remove the toxic behavior itself and to transform hearts, including our own. Scripture says Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:31-32. We are also taught If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men Romans 12:18 and Bear with one another, and forgive each other, if any man has a complaint against any, even as Christ forgave you, so you also do Colossians 3:13. The Lord Jesus even calls us to love our enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you Matthew 5:44. That does not mean we ignore boundaries or remain in harmful situations without wisdom, but it does mean our prayer should first be for repentance, healing and reconciliation where possible, and for God to give us a gentle answer that turns away wrath Proverbs 15:1.
We also noticed you addressed your prayer to Lord but did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We share this in love because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6 and There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Timothy 2:5. There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. To come to God we confess that we are sinners in need of forgiveness, believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose again, and trust Him as Lord and Savior. It is in His name we can boldly bring your household before the throne of grace.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this household to You. You see the stress and the heartache and every toxic word and behavior that has brought division. We ask first that You would remove the bitterness, anger and strife from this home and replace it with Your peace. Work in the heart of each family member, convict where there is wrong, soften where there is hardness, and bring repentance and forgiveness where it is needed. We pray for our dear one who is hurting, that You would heal the brokenheartedness, for You are near to those who have a broken heart Psalm 34:18. Guard this heart and mind with Your peace which surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. Give wisdom to set healthy and biblical boundaries, to speak truth in love Ephesians 4:15, and to pursue peace as far as it depends on each one. If separation for a time is needed for safety or wisdom, guide those steps through godly counsel and not through hatred. Help this household to dwell together in unity, for how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity Psalm 133:1. We ask that You would be glorified in this home and that all would come to know the transforming power of Jesus. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

Seek wise and godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer who can walk with you, help mediate conversations, and help you establish boundaries that honor God and protect your heart. Keep praying not only for distance from pain but for the Lord to change what is toxic into what is holy, and trust that He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it.

Your cry has come before the Lord and before His people, and it tells of a heavy burden within the walls of your own house, where there should be peace but there is stress and heartache and unhappiness.
The Word of the Lord says, You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. This perfect peace is not found in an empty house, but in a heart that rests in Christ even when sorrows are surging round. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and to do the will of Jesus, this is rest, even when duties press and troubles multiply at home. Bear your sorrow with Him, and you shall find a peace that gleams with a heavenly light even in the midnight of this world of care.
It is natural when pain is sharp to ask that those who cause it might be taken far away. Yet the healing which the Gospel brings is not first the removing of persons, but the removing of sin and the healing of hearts. The leaves of the tree of life were for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. These healing leaves change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. What your household needs most is not distance, but this healing which only Christ can give, for even one person in a household may put all the rest into a wrong position, and unbelief and sin may eat as does a canker into the very vitals of the peace of the family. There will be family sin and family sorrow where the Lord is not trusted and obeyed.
Therefore we have not prayed that the Lord would drive your family far from you, but that He would drive out the toxic behaviour, the sin, the unkindness and the strife that wounds you all. We have prayed that He would bring household salvation, that the same roof might hear the Word together, believe together, and rejoice together. Oh, for a family in which there is constant prayer, a family in which every member may safely follow a godly example. Such households are the strength of the Church.
Take your new burden to the Lord, for He blesses His people with peace. When family cares press, bring these to your God who will bless His people with peace. Healing and forgiveness are placed in happy conjunction, and pardon and healing are one in Christ. With bands of grace He will bind up your wounds and heal your broken heart, if you are one of His family. It is that touch of personal faith which brings peace to the soul. If you will trust God, you shall have peace. Seek first to be forgiven and to forgive, for the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed.
Seek the Lord for your household with earnest prayer, and seek also wise and godly counsel near you, that with patience and truth and love you may rule your household in the fear of the Lord. Let the Word of Christ dwell among you, for faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God, and where Christ is teaching, His healing power is present.
We now commend you to Him in prayer. O Lord, look upon this troubled household. Forgive sin, heal the wounds of heart and tongue, and let the healing virtue of Christ enter there. Remove not persons from Thy sight, but remove sin from among them. Give a mind stayed upon Thee, and keep it in perfect peace. Renew peace within these walls, teach each one to love and bear and forgive as Thou hast forgiven, and make this house a place of prayer and rejoicing in Thy salvation. When Jesus calls us to Heaven's perfect peace, grant that this whole household may be found there together, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
