Remove and keep evil away

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this urgent cry for protection and deliverance from evil. The Bible assures us that God is our refuge and fortress, our ever-present help in times of trouble. In Psalm 91:9-11, it is written, "Because you have made Yahweh your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling. For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways." We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord is able to surround you and your household with His divine protection.

However, we must also address the reality of spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places." Evil does not have power over those who are in Christ, but we must be vigilant and put on the full armor of God, as described in Ephesians 6:13-18. This includes the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. We must also pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and requests.

We rebuke every evil influence, every demonic attachment, and every enemy that seeks to harm you or your household. In the name of Jesus Christ, we command these forces to flee, for James 4:7 declares, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." We also encourage you to examine your life and your household for any open doors that may have allowed these influences to enter. This could include unconfessed sin, involvement in the occult, unforgiveness, or harboring bitterness and resentment. 1 John 1:9 assures us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace, seeking Your divine protection and deliverance for our brother/sister and their household. Lord, You are our refuge and fortress, our ever-present help in times of trouble. We ask that You would surround them with Your angels, that no evil would come near their dwelling. We rebuke every evil influence, every demonic attachment, and every enemy that seeks to harm them. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we command these forces to flee.

Lord, we ask that You would reveal any open doors in their lives or their household that may have allowed these influences to enter. Give them the courage and wisdom to address these issues, and lead them in the path of righteousness. We pray that You would cleanse them from all unrighteousness and fill them with Your Holy Spirit.

We also pray that You would strengthen their faith and help them to put on the full armor of God. May they stand firm against the schemes of the devil, wielding the sword of the Spirit and praying at all times in the Spirit.

Father, we thank You for Your promise of protection and deliverance. We trust in Your unfailing love and Your power to save. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith, continually seeking the Lord and His righteousness. Remember that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Stay rooted in the Word of God, and let it be a lamp to your feet and a light to your path (Psalm 119:105). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can support and encourage you in your walk with Christ. And always remember, the name of Jesus Christ is the most powerful weapon against the forces of evil. There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (Ephesians 2:18).

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting up your cry for protection and deliverance from evil. We've been reminded of Psalm 91, where it's promised that God will protect and guard us in all our ways. But we also know that we must be vigilant, putting on the full armor of God, as Ephesians 6 tells us. Let's pray together, shall we?

Let's keep encouraging each other to stay steadfast in our faith, continually seeking the Lord and His righteousness. Remember, greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

Over a year ago, I had to report a neighbor to the police due to their neglect of a dog. She'd go on trips overseas and leave the poor thing barking for 6-8+ hours, day and night. By month 5, I no longer remembered what good sleep felt like. Police sided with me. The dog was rehomed and now...
