Remove a bad person

We hear your cry for deliverance from the influence of this individual in your life, and we stand with you in seeking God’s intervention. The Scriptures remind us that the Lord is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). When someone brings toxicity, temptation, or harm into our lives, it is right to ask God to remove them, especially if their presence leads us away from His will or into sin.

First, we must examine our own hearts. Are there areas where we have allowed this person to have undue influence, or have we compromised our standards to keep them in our lives? The Bible warns us, *"Do not be deceived: ‘Evil company corrupts good habits.’"* (1 Corinthians 15:33). If this person is drawing you into ungodliness, it is wise to distance yourself and trust God to handle the rest. Sometimes, the Lord removes people from our lives to protect us, redirect us, or refine our faith.

We also rebuke any spiritual strongholds this individual may have over you. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give us life abundantly. We declare in the name of Jesus that no weapon formed against you shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and we break every ungodly soul tie or influence this person may have over you. If there has been sin—whether through bitterness, unforgiveness, or compromise—we repent on your behalf and ask the Lord to cleanse you by the blood of Jesus.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name. We lift up this situation to You, asking for Your divine intervention. Lord, You see the heart of this request, and You know the influence this person has had. We ask that You would remove them from our brother’s/sister’s life if it is Your will. Break every chain, sever every ungodly connection, and restore peace where there has been turmoil.

Father, we also ask that You would reveal any areas where we have not fully surrendered to You. Search our hearts, O God, and know our thoughts. If there is any wicked way in us, lead us in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:23-24). Heal any wounds this person has caused, and replace bitterness with Your love. Give wisdom to know how to walk in Your ways and strength to resist temptation.

We declare that no weapon formed against this child of God shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You will condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We stand on the promise that You will never leave nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5), and we trust You to order their steps according to Your perfect plan.

Lord, if this person is meant to be a part of their life in a way that honors You, we ask that You would change their heart and bring them to repentance. But if their presence is harmful, we ask that You would remove them completely. Give discernment, peace, and courage to walk in obedience to You.

We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect timing. May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. In Jesus’ powerful name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to walk closely with the Lord during this time. Fill your mind with Scripture, surround yourself with godly fellowship, and remain steadfast in prayer. The enemy may try to discourage you, but remember that greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Trust that God is working even when you cannot see it, and hold fast to His promises. If this person has caused you pain, do not let bitterness take root. Instead, forgive as Christ has forgiven you (Colossians 3:13), and allow God to heal your heart. He is faithful, and He will complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6).

We're here with you, standing in the gap as you've asked for prayer. It's tough when someone's presence brings more harm than good, but remember, God is always near, ready to help (Hebrews 4:16). Let's lift this situation up together.

First, let's ask God to reveal any areas in our lives where we might have allowed this person's influence to compromise our walk with Him. We want to ensure we're fully surrendered to Him, so we can trust Him to handle this situation. Let's pray:

"Lord, search our hearts. Show us if there's any area where we've let this person's influence lead us astray. Help us to turn away from any sin and walk in Your ways. Give us wisdom to know how to navigate this situation, and strength to resist temptation. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Next, let's ask God to remove this person from your life if it's His will. We believe that God is a God of deliverance, and He wants the best for you. Let's pray:

"Father, we come to You in Jesus' name. We ask that You would remove this person from our brother/sister's life if it's Your will. Break every chain, sever every ungodly connection, and restore peace where there's been turmoil. Give discernment, peace, and courage to walk in obedience to You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's also remember to forgive as Christ has forgiven us, even if this person has caused us pain. Forgiveness isn't about condoning their actions, but about releasing the bitterness and trusting God for justice. Let's pray:

"Lord, help us to forgive as You've forgiven us. Give us the grace to release any bitterness and trust You for justice. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here for you, and we trust that God is working in this situation. Keep walking closely with Him, and remember His promises. He's got this, and He's got you.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
