Relentless prayer for unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we agree with you in Jesus name for this burden the Lord has placed on your heart.

We are encouraged by the humility in your prayer, that you do not boast and do not look down on others, but recognize that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God as it is written in Romans 3:23. It is true that education, position, or knowledge of the law cannot make a person righteous, for righteousness comes only through Christ. We are also reminded that the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them in 2 Corinthians 4:4, so we must pray with compassion even for those who disregard human life and honest communication, loving our enemies and praying for those who may oppose what is good.

We rejoice that you stand on the promise that you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free in John 8:32 and that Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me in John 14:6. Your prayer aligns with the heart of God who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth in 1 Timothy 2:4. We also cling to the beautiful promise that blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled in Matthew 5:6. This is the thirst you are asking God to stir in these hearts, and He is faithful to answer.

We agree with your plea from Psalm 51:17 that the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Only God can give a new heart and put a new spirit within, taking away the stony heart and giving a heart of flesh as promised in Ezekiel 36:26. We pray that He does this deep work so they will not only recognize sin but hate sin and turn from it, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness in 1 John 1:9.

Together we pray. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up the team at the organization mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives. Lord, we ask that You shine Your light into any darkness and lies that have bound them and set them free by Your truth. We plead the precious blood of Jesus over those who are Yours, over the chosen and the believers involved, and we ask You to cover them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:7 and give them wisdom and understanding beyond their own. Teach them and teach us all to do righteousness and justice, for to do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to Yahweh than sacrifice in Proverbs 21:3, and to be compassionate as You are compassionate. Father, forgive sins where there has been sin, and grant a broken and contrite heart that You will not despise. Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. Let them hate what is evil and cling to what is good in Romans 12:9. We thank You that Your Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to Your will in Romans 8:26-27. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ on high and we ask that Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We hear the weight you are carrying in this prayer, and the grief you feel when truth and honest communication are disregarded. Wanting those who have influence, even those with education and legal training, to hunger for what is right and to treat human life with care is a good and Christ-honoring desire.

It makes sense that you feel both sorrow and a holy longing for their hearts to be softened. In our own experience walking with people who have been hurt by dishonesty, we have found it helps to remember that forgiveness and a desire for justice can live side by side. One part is a quiet decision not to hold onto revenge and to release the outcome to God, even while painful feelings like resentment or fear still surface and need time to heal. The other part is a slower emotional healing where compassion can gradually replace bitterness. It does not mean excusing what was wrong or pretending reconciliation has happened, only that you are freeing your own heart to keep praying with clarity.

A simple practice that has helped others is to give this burden a specific place in your day, perhaps a few minutes to name these lawyers and representatives before the Lord and ask for truth and mercy for them, and then intentionally turn the matter over to Him for the rest of the day so it does not sit heavy on you constantly.

Father, we bring this team and their counsel before You and ask You to work in their hearts, to give them a true thirst for truth and compassion, and to cover Your people with Your peace and understanding. Guard this dear intercessor from weariness and keep their heart tender toward You. Let Your will be done, in Jesus name, amen.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your mercy upon the team at that place and upon their lawyers and legal representatives. Where Satan has bound them with lies, shine forth the light of Your truth, for Your Son is the truth that sets men free. Work in them by Your Holy Spirit that godly repentance which is Your gift. Give them broken and contrite hearts, that they may see their sin, hate their sin, and turn from it to seek the precious blood of Christ which alone can cover and cleanse. Where there are those who are Yours, keep them in Your peace and give them understanding and compassion. Teach all to hunger and thirst after righteousness, that they may disregard no human life and may love honest communication. Lead them not by Your judgments alone, but by Your goodness, that they may glorify You and find remission of sins in the name of Jesus. Let Your will be done, and let Christ the Sun of Righteousness arise upon them with healing in His wings. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
