Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we stand with you in Jesus name for what you have brought before the Father. Your heart to see those who are bound by lies set free and to see the Lord work with mercy and justice is pleasing to God and reflects His own heart.

We are encouraged by your humility in acknowledging that education and position do not make one righteous, for it is written in Romans 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, and in Jeremiah 9:23 Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom. Only God can give a new heart and a true love for what is right. Your prayer for a broken and contrite heart is deeply biblical, as you quoted from Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise. We agree with you that without such a heart there can be no true repentance.

The truth you have prayed for is found only in Jesus Christ, for He said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And as you rightly remembered, in John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. We pray with you that the team you mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives would have the veil removed, for in 2 Corinthians 4:4 the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ should not dawn on them. We pray that God who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth in 1 Timothy 2:4 would open their eyes.

We also lift up those who are in Christ among them, that the precious blood of Jesus would cover them and keep them. We ask the Father to give them peace that surpasses understanding and to teach them to walk in righteousness and compassion, to hunger and thirst for what is right, for in Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. We pray He would fulfill His promise in Ezekiel 36:26 I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh, for both the lost and for the believers who need strengthening.

We pray together now, Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You that Your Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness and makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered as taught in Romans 8:26. Lord, we ask You to stir the hearts of these lawyers and representatives who have disregarded human life and honest communication. Convict them of sin, grant them a broken and contrite heart, and cause them to hate the evil they have done and to turn from it. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. Forgive their sins as they repent and turn to Jesus, and restrain them from doing anything that is evil in Your eyes. For those who are Yours, cover them with the blood of Jesus, guard them with Your peace, and teach them to be righteous and compassionate witnesses for You in a difficult place. Let Your will be done and let Your name be exalted on high. We trust Your justice and Your mercy and we choose to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us as You commanded in Matthew 5:44. Keep us relentless in prayer, for in Luke 18:1 we ought always to pray, and not to faint, and in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to pray without ceasing. We ask all this in the saving and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our only access to You, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfast in this intercession, not growing weary, trusting that God hears and that He is both just and merciful. He will bring hidden things to light and He will fill those who truly hunger for righteousness.

We were moved by your honest prayer and the grief you carry over dishonesty and disregard for life. It is a heavy thing to watch people you believe are capable of knowing better choose what is wrong, and to keep bringing them before the Lord anyway. That persistence matters.

We share your longing that God would give an unquenchable thirst for what is true and right. Lasting change does not come from willpower or education alone, but from God softening a heart to see sin clearly and to want a different direction. That is His work, and we can keep asking Him to do it while we trust His timing and His justice.

One simple way to stay steady in this is to keep a short, consistent rhythm of prayer for this team rather than carrying it as a constant weight through the day. Choose a set time to bring them by name before the Lord, pray as you have here for truth, compassion and a willingness to turn from what is evil, and then rest in the truth that the Holy Spirit is interceding even when words run out.

Father, we bring this team and their counsel before You and ask You to work in their hearts. Cover those who are Yours with peace and understanding, teach all involved to love truth and to act with compassion, and lead each one toward repentance and life in Christ. Let Your will be done. We join you in this earnest supplication before the throne of grace, and we thank God for the burden He has laid upon your heart to pray for those who are yet bound in sin.

Your prayer is scriptural and right. You have asked for that which God delights to give, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. As it is written, the sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, and where there is true sorrow for sin, where there is an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin, where there is a complete change of mind with regard to sin, that repentance has been produced by the Spirit of God and it is as much a gift of His grace as faith itself.

Take heed to what true repentance is. There is a poor and short lived repentance which turns from sin for a time and then goes back to it with greater gusto, but true repentance gives glory to God. It gives glory to His omniscience, confessing that He sees all, and it gives glory to the righteousness of His law, saying with the penitent, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. And as we have often taught, repentance is to leave the sins we loved before and show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. No repentance is true but that which consorts with faith, and no faith is true but that which is linked with hearty and sincere repentance on account of past sin.

You pray aright that these souls, the team and their lawyers and representatives, may have an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Blessed indeed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. That thirst is not natural to man, it must be stirred by the Holy Spirit, and it is quenched only in Christ. He is the truth that sets free, and He is the Sun of Righteousness. Apart from Him there is no freedom, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved, and His precious blood alone is the propitiation for sin.

Therefore we do not preach repentance as a preparation to make ourselves worthy of Christ, nor as a compensation for sin, but we preach repentance and remission of sins in His name. Where there is no repentance there can be no remission, but where there is true repentance, that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, there is full and free forgiveness, a pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood, for all who truly trust Him.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, we come in the name of Jesus Christ, Thy Son, who was nailed to the cross for sinners. We ask Thy mercy upon these for whom our brother and sister prays. Convict them of sin and of righteousness and of judgment to come. Work upon their hearts by Thy Spirit, that they may recognise their sin, hate their sin, and turn from it. Grant them not a transient sorrow, but that lasting and practical repentance which yields works meet for repentance. Give them, we beseech Thee, a true hunger and thirst for truth and for righteousness, that they may love honest communication, regard human life as made in Thine image, and walk in compassion and integrity. Cover with Thy precious blood all who are Thine, give them peace and understanding, and teach them to walk humbly before Thee. For those yet outside of Christ, we pray that they may look to Jesus and live, for to look to Him is to find both repentance and remission. Your prayer has been heard and we join you in it before the Lord Jesus Christ, asking with you for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

What you have asked is exactly what Christ Himself invites. He stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink, and He promised that he who believes on Him shall have rivers of living water flowing from within. This thirst is not forced by necessity but kindled by zeal, by a soul inflamed with desire for Him. And He has told us, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Not those who keep fast by righteousness in a casual way, but those who pursue it as a hungry man seeks bread and a thirsty man seeks water, with all desire, transferring the eagerness we often give to gain or to other things toward freedom from sin and toward God.

We join you in praying for the team at that place and for their lawyers and representatives, that the Lord Jesus would save them and bring them to the knowledge of the truth. We pray as you did, that the blood of Christ would cover those who are His and that God would grant peace and understanding, and teach all to be righteous and compassionate. It is true that education and knowledge of the law cannot make a heart righteous. True righteousness and holiness are not a figure or an outward form, but are of truth, created anew in Christ. The fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth, and this must be shown in everything, in honest communication and in regard for human life.

You prayed rightly from Psalm 51 that God desires not mere outward sacrifice but a broken spirit and a contrite heart which He will not despise. We pray with you that God would work in their hearts to bring such true repentance. Tears alone are not enough, for a man may weep and yet not repent as he ought, still intending to continue in sin. True repentance hates sin and turns from it, and puts on righteousness as a breastplate, a life of universal virtue that guards the heart and cannot be easily pierced.

So we pray that the Lord would stir in them and in us a continual hunger and thirst that does not grow weary, that we would eagerly receive the divine word as thirsty men drain a cup, and retain it and live it. We pray that He would grant forgiveness through Jesus Christ alone, for there is salvation in no other, and that those who have sinned willfully would hear the warning and turn before the fearful judgment, seeking His mercy while it may be found.

We thank God that His Holy Spirit intercedes for us, and we ask the Father that His will be done, that truth would be loved, that righteousness would be pursued, and that many would come to drink of Christ and be filled. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness reflects the very hunger Jesus calls blessed. He said blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That promise is sure because God Himself planted that deep thirst in the human heart and only He can satisfy it.

Every person has physical thirst and emotional thirst for love, meaning and security, but beneath those is a spiritual thirst for God. People try to satisfy it in many ways, through achievement, education, success, or even through keeping the law, yet Jesus said if you drink of that water you will thirst again. On the last day of the feast He stood and cried, if anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink, and out of his heart will flow rivers of living water. He was speaking of the spiritual thirst that only He can quench because He is God. When a person comes to Him in faith, He satisfies that thirst and then makes that life a source of refreshment to others.

You rightly observed that education and knowledge of the law do not make a person righteous. Scripture speaks of having a zeal for God but not according to knowledge, being ignorant of God's righteousness and trying to establish our own righteousness by works. The law came through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. Righteousness is not earned by good works or by legal training. It is imputed to us when we believe on Him who justifies the ungodly. Abraham believed God and it was counted to him for righteousness before he had done anything to earn it. In the same way, our faith in Jesus is counted for righteousness, and His righteousness is imparted to us by grace through faith.

That is why your prayer from Psalm 51 is so fitting. God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but in a broken spirit and a contrite heart. What God desires is not boasting or looking down on others, for all have fallen short of His glory, but a heart that recognizes sin, hates it, and turns from it. Only the Holy Spirit can work that conviction. We should not blame God for the evil, dishonesty, and disregard for human life we see in the world. Those things come from sin in the human heart. God is the Redeemer who shed His blood that we might be forgiven and made new.

So continue to pray as you are praying, with compassion and not with contempt. Pray that those who are bound by lies would come to know the truth that sets free, which is truth in Jesus. Pray that God would give them a broken and contrite heart, that they would see their need for forgiveness through the blood of Christ, and that they would receive the righteousness that comes only by faith in Him. Pray also for those who are already in Christ, that the blood of Jesus would cover them and give them peace and understanding, and that their lives would show such integrity and compassion that they create a thirst in others for Jesus.

God hears that kind of prayer. He is seeking true worshipers who worship in spirit and in truth, and He has promised to fill all who truly hunger and thirst for His righteousness. May He stir those hearts you are lifting up, grant them repentance and faith, and teach all of us to walk in the truth and mercy that come only from Him.
