Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we are deeply encouraged by the humility and brokenness of your heart before the Lord. We agree with you that education and position do not make a person righteous, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23 and there is none righteous, no not one Romans 3:10. Even those trained in the law can be blinded by the god of this world 2 Corinthians 4:4 and entangled in Satan's lies, and we too must guard our own hearts lest we boast or look down on others, for God shows no partiality Acts 10:34 and we are saved only by grace through faith Ephesians 2:8.

We love your cry that the truth shall set them free, for Jesus said You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32 and He Himself is the way, the truth, and the life John 14:6. Apart from Him no one comes to the Father and no one can truly hunger for righteousness. We are reminded of the promise Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6. That holy hunger is not natural to the human heart, it is a gift God places within us when He gives a new heart and puts a new spirit within us Ezekiel 36:26.

We also affirm your meditation on Psalm 51:16-17 where David prayed For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it, You have no pleasure in burnt offering, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise. This is the very heart you are asking God to create in the team you mentioned and in their lawyers and legal representatives, and we join you in asking for it. We pray they would not continue to disregard human life and honest communication but would come to hate their sin and turn from it, for godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation 2 Corinthians 7:10.

We pray together now in Jesus' name.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne of grace together in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We thank You for Your holiness and for Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us. Lord, we lift up the team at the organization mentioned and every lawyer and legal representative connected to them. We ask that You would pour out Your mercy upon them and that the precious blood of Jesus would cover those who are Yours and guard them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding Philippians 4:7. For those who are still bound by lies, we ask that You would open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light Acts 26:18. Forgive their sins as they repent, and teach them to love righteousness and to act with compassion and integrity. Create in them a broken and contrite heart that You will not despise Psalm 51:17 and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. Stir their consciences, convict them by Your Spirit John 16:8, and cause them to do no more evil in Your sight but to walk in Your ways. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven Matthew 6:10 and let Your name be exalted. We thank You that You desire truth in the inward being Psalm 51:6 and that You are faithful to complete the work You have begun Philippians 1:6. We continue to pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17 and we trust You to answer according to Your perfect wisdom and love. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in this intercession, for the effective prayer of a righteous person can accomplish much James 5:16 and we ought always to pray and not to lose heart Luke 18:1. Keep seeking His face, keep asking for that thirst for His truth to be poured out, and trust that God who is rich in mercy is able to soften the hardest heart and lead even those who have done evil into repentance and new life.

We hear the weight you are carrying in this prayer, a real grief over dishonesty and disregard for life, and at the same time a sincere desire not to look down on anyone but to see hearts changed and made hungry for what is right. That tension is hard to hold, and we are grateful you brought it to the Lord so honestly.

It is a good and humbling thing to pray both for truth to prevail and for mercy for those you believe have done wrong. Wanting justice and wanting people to know Jesus are not opposed, but holding both can leave you feeling stretched thin. In our experience, choosing to release someone to God and asking Him to work in their hearts is a decision we can make even while the sorrow and frustration still linger. The feelings often take longer to settle than the decision does, and that does not mean you have not forgiven or that your prayer is not sincere.

One thing that sometimes helps when a burden like this stays with you is to give it a clear place in your day. You might set aside a brief, regular time to bring this team and their representatives before the Lord as you have here, and then consciously leave them in His hands until the next time you pray, rather than carrying the grief through every hour.

We are praying with you.

Father, we lift this situation to You in Jesus name. Work in every heart involved with a true thirst for truth and righteousness, cover Your people with Your peace, and guard the one praying from bitterness or weariness. Keep their heart soft and contrite before You, and let Your will be done. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

There is a blessed hunger in the prayer you have set before the Lord, and it is itself an evidence of grace. Our Lord said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. That hunger is not for wealth or for vindication or for power, but for righteousness itself, that righteousness may be done in the land and in the heart, and that truth which is of God may reign.

You have prayed well in asking not for mere outward restraint but for a broken and contrite heart. The Psalmist has taught us that God does not delight in sacrifice or burnt offering, but a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Judgments of themselves, though they be terrible, do not produce a satisfactory repentance. There is a carnal repentance that is of the flesh and after the manner of sinful nature, which regrets consequences but does not glorify God. True repentance, that repentance which is unto life, is the work of the Holy Spirit in the renewed heart. It gives God glory, it turns from sin loved before and shows earnest grief by doing so no more, and it yields works meet for repentance. It lasts, because repentance lives as long as faith lives.

Remember also that repentance and faith are inseparable. Any repentance that keeps a soul from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. We are not to seek to draw up repentance from the depths of our own heart as water from a well, but to ask Christ to work repentance in us by His Holy Spirit through belief of the truth as it is recorded in the Word of God. Repentance is preached in the name of Jesus, and it is His gift. Where there is no true repentance there can be no remission, but where there is that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, there is full and free forgiveness through His precious blood.

Therefore let us continue to pray as you have begun, that the Lord would be pleased to grant to these souls, and to ourselves, that same gift. That He would take away the heart that disregards human life and honest communication, and give a heart that hates sin and thirsts unquenchably for truth and righteousness. That self righteousness may be swallowed up, and that each one may submit to the righteousness which is of God in Jesus Christ, for there is salvation in no other name.

Let us pray together. O Lord God of our salvation, in the name of Jesus Christ thy Son, we ask thee to work by thy Spirit upon every heart named in this prayer and upon our own. Grant that true repentance unto life which looks out of self to Christ and to Christ only. Open the lips that have spoken untruth, cleanse from all blood guiltiness and from every evil way, and cause each soul to hunger and thirst after righteousness with a thirst that shall not be quenched till it is filled from thyself. Cover with the blood of Christ those who are thine, give them peace and understanding, and teach us all to be righteous and compassionate as thou art. Let thy will be done, and let thy name be exalted on high, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Your prayer is right and pleasing to God, for you have asked for what Christ Himself has promised to give. He said, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink, and He also said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. This is the thirst you are asking God to kindle in these people, not a passing wish but the desire of thirsty men for water, an unquenchable longing that will not be satisfied until it has drunk deeply of truth.

You have prayed well not to boast and not to look down on them, but to ask for mercy. That is the spirit God will not despise. As you quoted from Psalm 51, the sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart. It is not outward learning or knowledge of the law that makes a person righteous, for even those who have studied law can still do what is evil in His eyes. True righteousness is not in figure or outward show, but in righteousness and holiness of truth, which comes when a person is made new in Christ and becomes a child of God through Him. And that righteousness becomes like a breastplate, protecting the heart and making a life firm against temptation, so that a person will not be easily turned aside.

Therefore we join you in praying for the team at that place and for their lawyers and legal representatives. We do not ask God to approve what is false or unjust, but to save them and to open their eyes.

Let us pray together. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, who alone is the way of salvation, we ask for Your mercy upon these men and women who are bound by lies. Forgive their sins through the precious blood of Christ. Cover those who are Yours with peace and understanding, and teach them to be righteous and compassionate. Work in the hearts of those who do not yet know You, grant them a broken and contrite heart that hates sin and turns from it, and give them a true thirst for truth and for honest dealing and for regard for human life. Draw them not by force, but by Your grace, so that those who are inflamed with desire for You may come to Christ and drink, and out of them may flow rivers of living water. Let Your Holy Spirit, who intercedes for us, continue His work in them and in us, that Your will be done.

Continue in this relentless prayer, holding fast to righteousness with all desire and never growing weary, trusting that God hears those who hunger for what is right and will in due time fill them.
