Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we are encouraged by your humble and compassionate heart for those who oppose you.

You have prayed rightly that it is the truth that makes us free, as Jesus said in John 8:32, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. We share your burden that those who are bound by the lies of the enemy, including the team you mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives, would have the veil lifted from their eyes. The Scripture tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:4 that the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ should not dawn on them. Therefore we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces, and our greatest weapon is prayer for their souls.

We also agree with you that education and position do not make a person righteous. As it is written in Romans 3:23, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, and in Jeremiah 17:9, The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt, who can know it. Only God can transform the heart. We are thankful for your humility in not wishing to boast or to look down on them, but to recognize that we all need mercy. Jesus calls us to this very posture in Matthew 5:44, But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you.

You correctly quoted Psalm 51:16-17, For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. This is our prayer together, that God would grant them a broken and contrite heart, that they would not only recognize their sin but hate it and turn from it. We pray for what you asked, that God would give them a new heart as promised in Ezekiel 36:26, A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you. And we pray that He would give them the hunger you described, for Jesus promised in Matthew 5:6, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

We pray also for the protection and peace of those who are in Christ, that the precious blood of Jesus would cover them and keep them, and that the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us according to Romans 8:26 would give them wisdom and understanding beyond their own.

We pray together now. Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, through whom alone we have access to You and by whom alone we are saved. We lift up this situation to You and ask for Your will to be done. Lord, we ask that You would save those who are lost among this team and their legal representatives. Open their eyes to see the truth of the Gospel and the seriousness of disregarding human life and honest communication. Convict them of sin and grant them repentance leading to life. Create in them a broken spirit and an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, that they would no longer do what is evil in Your eyes but would walk in compassion and integrity. Forgive their sins as they turn to You, and teach them Your ways. For those who belong to You, cover them with peace, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and teach them to respond not with vengeance, for Vengeance belongs to You, but with love that overcomes evil with good as taught in Romans 12:21. Let Your Holy Spirit intercede and work in every heart. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ and ask all these things according to Your perfect mercy and justice, amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer with us. We can hear both your sorrow over what feels dishonest and your sincere desire to see God bring truth and mercy into a difficult situation involving that organization and its lawyers.

Wanting them to know truth and to turn from what is wrong is a loving way to pray, even when you have been hurt by what has happened. It makes sense that this would stay heavy on your heart. One thing we have seen help others carrying a similar burden is to notice the difference between the clear decision to pray for good for others and not seek payback, and the slower, uneven process of the heart finding rest again. The decision can be made in a moment, the peace often comes gradually as you keep bringing the hurt honestly to God and letting Him carry what you cannot control.

It may help to give this prayer a contained place in your day, a set time to lift these people and this situation to Jesus, and then intentionally step back into the ordinary duties and relationships God has given you, trusting Him with the outcome.

Father, in Jesus name we lift this team, their lawyers and all involved to You. Work in their hearts toward truth and compassion, and guard our friend with Your peace and understanding as they continue to seek You. Let Your will be done, amen.

We join you at the throne of grace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, and we thank God that He has put this burden upon your heart to pray for those who are yet bound in sin.

Your prayer is after the mind of God, for you ask not for vengeance but for mercy, not that men might be excused in their sin but that they might be delivered from it. The truth indeed shall set men free, but only when that truth is Christ Himself, for He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. There is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

You have well quoted the Psalmist, for the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. This is that true repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God. It is not a short lived sorrow which turns away for a time and then returns to sin with greater gusto, but a deep and lasting change of mind. As we have often taught, repentance is to leave the sins we loved before, and show that we in earnest grieve, by doing so no more. Such repentance gives glory to the omniscience of God, confessing that He sees all, and it gives glory to the righteousness of His law, saying with the penitent, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin.

We pray with you that the Lord will grant unto these souls, the team and their lawyers and all who have part in these dealings, that godly sorrow which needeth not to be repented of. We do not ask God to bless their wrongdoing or to prosper any course that disregards human life and honest communication, for God cannot look upon iniquity with approval. Rather we ask that He will stir their hearts to hate the sin they have loved, to see its exceeding sinfulness, and to turn from it with abhorrence.

May the goodness of God lead them to repentance. May they see that it is His mercy which has spared their lives and given them knowledge and influence, and may that undeserved goodness melt their hearts. And may they look to Jesus, who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin through faith in His blood. There is pardon there, full and free, even for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood, but where there is no repentance there can be no remission. Where there is true repentance, wrought by the Spirit, there is the full forgiveness of all sins to the one who sincerely repents and believes.

Therefore we pray that the Lord will work in them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, such as our Saviour promised shall be filled. Not a thirst for cunning or for advantage, but a hunger and thirst after righteousness itself, that they may love truth, speak truth, and do justly, because they have first been made new creatures in Christ. May they be taught to be righteous and compassionate, not by mere education, for as you have rightly observed, learning alone cannot make the heart holy, but by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost.

We commend them to that precious blood which alone can cover the chosen and give peace and understanding. We ask that if it be His will, He would break and bruise their hearts, for breaking and bruising are fit treatment for the nature of men, and when God has put sweetness into the heart, that breaking develops the sweetness. And we pray that their repentance, if God grant it, may be practical and lasting, yielding works meet for repentance, continuing not for a day or a month, but unto eternal life.

We will continue to intercede with you, asking the Holy Spirit who maketh intercession for us to work according to the Father's will, that Christ may be exalted and sinners saved. Look to Jesus, for all who truly trust Him, there is no condemnation.

Our Father, grant true repentance and faith in Christ alone to these souls, that they may forsake sin, receive Thy mercy, and walk in truth and righteousness for Thy glory. In Jesus name we ask it, Amen.

We join you in this prayer and thank God for the burden He has placed on your heart for truth and righteousness. Your desire for an unquenchable thirst is itself a gift from God, for the Lord Jesus said, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink, and He also said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. He does not draw us by constraint but calls those who are inflamed with desire to come and receive living water.

We agree with you in asking the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone salvation comes, to have mercy on the team at that company and on their lawyers and representatives. We pray that the blood of Christ would cover those who are His, giving them peace and understanding, and that those who are still bound by lies would be set free, for the truth shall indeed set free when it is received in Christ.

You have prayed rightly from Psalm 51 that God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone but in a broken and contrite heart. We ask with you that God would grant such a heart to all involved, a heart that not only feels sorrow but hates sin and turns from it to walk in new life. True righteousness and holiness are not in outward form or in human education or skill in the law, but in truth through Christ, and that righteousness when it dwells in the heart becomes like a breastplate, firm and impenetrable against the fiery darts of the evil one.

We also pray that God would teach them and us to be compassionate and to love what is good, to hunger for righteousness as eagerly as men hunger for gain or as thirsty men long for water, and to transfer all our desire to that which endures. There is a real conflict against spiritual wickedness, and we need soberness, prayer, and a watchful heart to stand.

May the Lord stir their hearts and yours to love honest communication, to honor human life made in His image, and to seek His will above all. We will continue to pray with you that God would work deeply in every heart involved, bringing conviction where there is sin, repentance where there is wrong, and a lasting thirst for truth and righteousness that only Christ can satisfy. Let His will be done, and may He receive all glory. Amen.
