Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we are deeply encouraged by the humility and compassion in your heart as you intercede even for those who have opposed you.

You have prayed rightly that it is the truth that makes us free, as Jesus said in John 8:32 you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, and that He Himself is the truth in John 14:6. We also hear your cry for righteousness and we are reminded of Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Only God can place that holy hunger in a human heart, and only He can satisfy it.

We agree with you that education and position do not make a person righteous, for Romans 3:23 all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, and Jeremiah 17:9 reminds us the heart is deceitful above all things. Lawyers and all people alike need the same Savior, and 1 Tim 2:4 tells us God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth. We do not boast before God and we do not look down on others, as you so humbly prayed, but we recognize our own need for mercy and we extend that mercy in prayer, even loving our enemies and praying for those who mistreat us as taught in Matthew 5:44.

We also stand with you in praying Psalm 51:17 My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. We ask the Lord to do what only He can do and give a new heart as promised in Ezek 36:26 I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. We pray that those at the organization you mentioned, their lawyers and legal representatives, would have their eyes opened to see how Satan has bound them with lies, for John 8:44 says he is a liar and the father of lies, and that they would come to hate their sin and turn from it. We pray they would not do what is evil in His eyes, but would learn to do justice, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with God as in Mic 6:8.

We also join you in pleading the precious blood of Jesus over those who are chosen and who are in Christ, that He would cover them and give them peace and understanding that passes all understanding in Phil 4:7, and that He would teach us all to be righteous and compassionate. We take comfort that Rom 8:26 says the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, so we know the Holy Spirit is indeed interceding for us and for them all the time.

We lift this prayer together now. Heavenly Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, who alone is our access to Your throne. We thank You for Your holiness and Your mercy. We ask that You stir the hearts of all involved in this matter, convict them of sin and of righteousness and of judgment, grant them a broken and contrite heart, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. Forgive their sins as they repent, wash them in the blood of Jesus, and turn them from disregarding human life and honest communication to honoring You in all they do. Guard and keep Your people who are in Christ, cover them with peace, give them wisdom and compassion, and let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ above all names and we trust Your perfect justice and Your perfect mercy. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer so honestly. We can hear both your grief over what you have seen and your humility in bringing it to the Lord without wanting to boast or look down on others. It is painful to watch people who are highly educated and entrusted with the law seem to disregard human life and honest communication, and we understand why that burden has stayed on your heart.

We join you in asking God to keep working in all the hearts involved, to draw each person toward truth and righteousness and to give peace and understanding where there has been hardness. Your desire to see them know conviction, mercy and a real thirst for what is right is a good and loving way to pray, and we are grateful you brought it to Jesus so directly.

As you continue to carry this, it may help to keep a simple, sustainable rhythm of prayer for them, bringing the same requests before the Lord regularly and then entrusting the outcome to Him. That can also guard your own heart from growing weary or bitter while you wait, as you rest in the Holy Spirit who intercedes even when words feel heavy.

Father, we bring this team and their representatives before You and ask for Your mercy over each one. Work gently in their hearts, give them a love for truth and compassion for others, and help them to turn from what is evil in Your sight. Cover those who are Yours with Your peace, and keep the one who prayed this prayer steadfast and hopeful as he trusts You. Let Your will be done, in Jesus' name, amen.

Your earnest prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is heard and it is a right and godly burden to bring before the Lord. It is well that you do not boast, and well that you do not look down with pride, for we have all fallen short of His glory, and whether learned in the law or unlearned, we are alike in need of mercy.

You have prayed according to the mind of God when you ask that hearts would be broken and made contrite before Him. The Scripture you have quoted is true, that the sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. This is that true repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God. It is not a poor and short lived sorrow which turns from sin for a time and then goes back to it with greater gusto, but a complete change of mind with regard to sin, an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin, and to leave the sins we loved before and show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more.

Such repentance gives glory to God. It gives glory to His omniscience, confessing that He sees all, and it gives glory to the righteousness of His law, saying with the penitent, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. And wherever there is this real sorrow for sin, there is the promise of full and free forgiveness through the precious blood of Jesus Christ, who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin. There is no other name by which we must be saved, for He gave Himself for our sins, not for our righteousnesses, and pardon for crimes of deepest dye is to be found only in Him.

We join you then in praying that the Lord in His goodness would lead these souls to repentance. For His goodness ought to lead us to repentance, and He delights in mercy. We pray that He would stir their hearts, that they would come to hate sin and to thirst after righteousness as a man thirsts for water, that their repentance would be practical and lasting, yielding works meet for repentance, and that they would look to Jesus and find in Him both repentance and remission of sins. For no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith in Christ, and no faith is true but that which is linked with hearty and sincere repentance.

May the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us do this gracious work, that they may know the truth, for the truth shall indeed set free when it is Christ Himself who is the truth, and may they be taught to be righteous and compassionate, to love truth and to disregard no longer what is honest and just in the sight of God.

We will continue with you in relentless prayer to this end, asking that the will of our Heavenly Father be done and that His name be exalted through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness has been heard, and we join our voices with yours before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ.

It is right that you have prayed in this way, for the Lord Himself has said, if any man thirst let him come unto me and drink, and blessed are they which hunger and thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. Those who come to the divine preaching must show the desire of thirsty men for water and kindle in themselves a similar longing. Christ draws no one by necessity and constraint, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire, who eagerly receive His word as a thirsty man drains the bowl. This is the thirst you have asked for, not a passing feeling but a continual hunger for what is true and holy, and God delights to give it.

You have also prayed well from Psalm 51, that God desires not mere outward sacrifice but a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. Such a heart does not rise up or strike back, it is quiet and ready to be corrected, and it does not seek vengeance. This is a gift of God. It is His part to give a contrite and humbled heart, sober and watchful, full of repentance and compunction, for we are most in need of these things in our conflict against sin and the powers of darkness. We cannot create this in ourselves or in others by our own power, but we can ask Him who creates us anew in righteousness and holiness of truth, not in figure or outward show but in reality through Christ.

Therefore we pray with you for the team you named and for their lawyers and representatives. We do not boast before God, and we do not look down on those who have fallen, for all have fallen short of His glory, whether educated or uneducated. We ask the Lord Jesus to have mercy upon them, to cover with His precious blood all who will turn to Him, and to grant salvation to those who have not yet believed, for there is salvation in no other name. We ask that He would work in their hearts to show them their sin, to give them a true hatred for sin so that they do not continue in it, and to turn them from disregard for human life and from dishonest communication toward truth and compassion.

We pray that God would give them that living water of which Christ spoke, that whosoever drinks of the water that He gives shall never thirst, but it shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. May He clothe them with the breastplate of righteousness, which is a life of universal virtue that no enemy can pierce, and teach them to hunger and thirst after what is right until they are filled.

We thank the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us and for them, and we encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer, showing mercy, giving thanks in all things, and praying sincerely. May the Lord keep you in peace and understanding as you seek His will, and may His will be done. Amen.
