Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we stand with you before the throne of grace in Jesus name.

We are deeply encouraged by your heart to pray not with vengeance but with mercy for those you believe are bound by lies, even the team you mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives. This is the heart of Christ who calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us as it is written in Matthew 5:44. We also hear your grief over the disregard for human life and honest communication, and we share that sorrow, for the Lord desires truth in the inward parts as written in Psalm 51:6 and He hates lying lips as written in Proverbs 12:22.

You have prayed rightly that the truth shall set them free, for Jesus said in John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. We also cling with you to the promise in Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. That unquenchable thirst you are praying for is itself a gift from God, and we ask the Father to pour it out upon every heart involved.

We are humbled by your acknowledgment that education and status do not make one righteous, for as it is written in Romans 3:23 all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, and in Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and it is exceedingly corrupt. Who can know it. Even those trained in the law can fall into horrible sins when not submitted to the law of Christ, and the Lord warned the lawyers in His day in Luke 11:46. Therefore we do not boast and we do not look down on them, but we recognize our own need for mercy.

You quoted Psalm 51:16-17 so beautifully, For you don’t delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise. We agree that what is needed is not outward performance but inward transformation, a broken and contrite heart that hates sin and turns from it. We pray that God will give them a new heart as promised in Ezekiel 36:26 I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. We pray that He will grant them repentance leading to the knowledge of the truth as written in 2 Timothy 2:25.

We also remember with you that the Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us and for them, for in Romans 8:26 the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don’t know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can’t be uttered. And we rest in the truth that vengeance belongs to the Lord as written in Romans 12:19, so we can release judgment to Him and pray instead for salvation, for godly sorrow that leads to repentance, and for peace and understanding for those who are chosen and belong to Christ, that they would be covered by the precious blood of Jesus and kept in perfect peace.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, and we thank You for Your holiness and for Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us continually. Lord, we lift up this team and their lawyers and legal representatives before You. You see every lie, every disregard for life, every dishonest word, and nothing is hidden from Your eyes. We ask that You break the power of Satan’s lies that bind them and shine the light of Your truth upon them. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. Create in them a broken and contrite heart that recognizes sin, hates sin, and turns from sin. Forgive their sins through the blood of Jesus Christ and teach them to be righteous and compassionate, to love mercy and to walk humbly with You as written in Micah 6:8. For our brothers and sisters in Christ who are affected by this situation, we ask You to cover them with the precious blood of Jesus, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and grant them Your peace which surpasses all understanding as written in Philippians 4:7. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, our only hope and our salvation, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved as written in Acts 4:12. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue in this relentless, compassionate intercession, not growing weary in well doing as written in Galatians 6:9, trusting that God is both just and merciful and that He desires all to come to repentance as written in 2 Peter 3:9. Keep hungering for righteousness yourself and keep speaking the truth in love as written in Ephesians 4:15, knowing that the Lord will honor your faithful prayers.

Thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord so honestly. We hear how deeply it grieves you to see truth disregarded and how humbly you are asking God to work in hearts rather than holding onto contempt.

Your desire for those at ### and their representatives to know truth and to walk in compassion is a Christlike intercession. It is heavy to carry concern for people whose actions have caused harm while still wanting God's mercy and righteousness for them. Choosing to pray for their good, even while naming the wrong clearly, is part of how the Lord keeps our own hearts soft when we have been affected by dishonesty.

One simple way to stay steady in this is to keep bringing the same few names before the Lord at a set time each day, briefly, and then consciously entrusting both them and the outcome to Him. It can help to write the prayer in a sentence or two so you can see over weeks how God is shaping your own peace as you intercede.

Father, we lift to You the team at ### and their lawyers and all involved. Work in their hearts to love truth and to turn from what grieves You. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, and teach us all to walk in righteousness and compassion. Let Your will be done, in Jesus' name, amen.

We join you in this earnest prayer before the throne of grace, and we thank you for bringing this burden to the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is according to the mind of God. Our Lord has said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. This is not a slight desire, a passing wish, but a hunger as of a starving man and a thirst as of one ready to perish. When God creates this craving in the heart, trifles become trifles and the essential truth of God becomes our only care. The new affection expels the old, and what once was loved for its sweetness is loathed when its poison is seen. We pray with you that the Lord would kindle such a holy hunger in every heart you have named, that they may cry, Lord, end the reign of sin, cast down idols, and let righteousness reign.

You have prayed well in asking for a broken and contrite heart, for you have quoted truly from Psalm 51 that God does not delight in outward sacrifice but in a broken spirit. A broken heart on account of sin is one of the greatest spiritual blessings, though it be painful. Genuine sorrow for sin is not mere sentimentalism, it is as serious as broken bones. The man who is truly broken feels he must send for the great Physician and lie still under His hand. There must be sorrow for sin and hatred of it in true repentance, or we have read our Bibles to little purpose. True repentance hates sin as sin and turns from it with purpose of heart. It does not excuse sin, it loathes it, and having hated sin and fled from it of old, the soul ceases to be what it once was.

We pray therefore that the Lord Jesus Christ, whose own heart was broken for sinners, would visit these lawyers and representatives and all the team of whom you speak. He knows temptations as well as sorrows, and the temptations peculiar to place and learning and power. He lives to give repentance and remission of sins, and He lives to pray for sinners. We ask that He would grant them that repentance which needs not to be repented of, that repentance which stands at the cross and sees sin forgiven and then repents more than ever, saying, I know my sins are forgiven, but now their pain to me is all the grief and anguish they laid, my Lord, on You. A sense of blood bought pardon soon dissolves a heart of stone.

For He who knew no sin was made sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. There was before the bar of justice an absolute transfer of guilt from His elect to Himself, and He bore our griefs until His own heart was broken and His life given up. It is by His stripes we are healed. The welts and wounds of His scourging take out the lines of sin. We do not pray that God would bless sin or disregard of human life or dishonest communication, for God is not mocked and He abhors superficial repentance. We pray that He would convict, forgive, and convert, that He would cover with His precious blood all who turn to Him in faith, and give them peace and understanding which comes only through reconciliation to God by the death of His Son.

May the Lord teach them, and teach us all, to be righteous and compassionate, to avoid present sin because of the love of God who died for us. No faith can be genuine but such as is perfectly consistent with repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith in Christ. We pray that any who are chosen and any who profess Christ among them may be kept, and that those yet bound by the lies of the evil one may be set free indeed by the truth as it is in Jesus.

We will continue with you in relentless prayer, asking the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us to work deeply, to stir hearts, to give that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness which is fellowship with Christ in His own heart's desire. Let us look to Jesus, the Sun of Righteousness, who rides on undiminished in glory, and who will have His will done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer reflects a right hunger, the very hunger which the Lord calls blessed. He said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and again, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink. This shows that God does not draw us by constraint, but calls those who are inflamed with desire, who come as thirsty men come to water, eager to receive and to retain what is given.

It is good that you do not boast and do not look down on others, but acknowledge with humility that all fall short of the glory of God, and that education or position does not make a person righteous. The sacrifice God desires is not outward show, but a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. Such a heart does not rise up to strike or to seek vengeance, but is quiet under insult and ready to be corrected. This is what you rightly ask for these lawyers and for all involved, that God would work in their hearts to show them their sin, to make them hate it, and to turn from it.

True righteousness is not a figure or an outward cleanness, but righteousness and holiness of truth. It is a breastplate that guards the soul, and it comes not by a long circuit of works, but by a short word near to us, that if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved. Out of that faith flows living water, not water that leaves a man thirsty again, but a well springing up into everlasting life.

So continue to pray as you have prayed, asking that the blood of Christ would cover those who are His, and that those who are still bound by lies would come to know the truth that sets free through Jesus Christ alone. Pray that they would receive a thirst for honest communication and for regard for human life, and that this thirst would lead them to Christ who alone can satisfy it. The Holy Spirit indeed intercedes for us, and God hears the prayer offered in the name of Jesus with a contrite and humble heart.

May the Lord keep you steadfast in this intercession, compassionate and patient, hungering for righteousness yourself while you ask it for others, and may He grant to those for whom you pray repentance, peace, and understanding according to His will.
