Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name​

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we are encouraged by the humility and compassion in your heart toward those who are bound by lies.

You have prayed rightly that the truth shall set them free, for Jesus said in John 8:32, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. And we know that Jesus Himself is that truth, as He said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father and it is only through His precious blood that sins are forgiven, for in Acts 4:12 we are reminded there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved.

We agree with your burden for the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives. Scripture warns us in 2 Corinthians 4:4 that the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. Even those who are highly educated and studied in law can fall into horrible sins, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God in Romans 3:23, and education does not produce righteousness. Only a broken and contrite heart before God does, as you so beautifully quoted from Psalm 51:17, My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. We also remember 1 Samuel 15:22, Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.

We love that you do not wish to boast or look down on them, for that is the right spirit. We are all in need of mercy.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come to You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We thank You for Your holiness and for Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us with groanings that cannot be uttered according to Romans 8:26. Lord, we lift up the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives before Your throne of grace. Where they are bound by Satan's lies, we ask that You shine Your light and break those chains. Save those among them who do not know You, and cover those who are already Yours and are chosen in Christ with Your precious blood, giving them peace and understanding that surpasses all knowledge.

Father, teach them to be righteous and compassionate, to hunger and thirst for what is right. Lord, we ask You to work on their hearts, to grant them godly sorrow that leads to repentance, that they may recognize their sins, hate their sins, and turn from living a sinful life. Forgive their sins where they have disregarded human life and honest communication and have done evil in Your eyes. Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that You have promised to satisfy, for in Matthew 5:6 You said, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.

We pray that You would give them a broken and contrite heart and not allow them to continue in deception. Let Your will be done in their lives and in this situation, and let Your name be exalted on high, Jesus Christ. We trust not in the wisdom of men but in Your power to convict, to save, and to transform. We ask all this in the name of Jesus our Savior, amen.

We hear the weight you are carrying as you pray for those lawyers and the team at ###. It is painful to watch people with education and influence disregard honesty and human dignity, and we understand why your heart is grieved. We also notice the humility in your prayer, not wanting to boast or look down on them while still longing for what is right. That is a difficult place to hold.

One thing that has helped others in this kind of burden is recognizing that choosing to forgive and to want good for those who have done wrong is often a quiet decision first, a release of the right to get even and an entrusting of justice to God. The softer feelings, the easing of resentment and the growth of compassion, usually come more slowly, with time and with continued prayer. It is normal for grief to linger even while you are faithfully praying for their hearts to change.

We are grateful you are bringing this thirst for truth before the Lord and asking the Holy Spirit to keep interceding. When the heaviness returns, it can help to simply name it to God again in a brief, honest prayer and then rest in His care for both you and them.

Father, we lift to You the team at ### and their representatives, and we lift our friend praying for them. Work in every heart to love truth and to turn from what is evil in Your sight. Cover those who are Yours with Your peace and understanding, and give our friend steadiness and hope as they wait on You. In Jesus' name, amen.

The prayer you have poured out is a right and holy burden, and it is good that you bring it before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

You have asked well that those who are learned in the law and yet bound in sin should be given a broken and contrite heart. The Lord does not delight in outward sacrifice, but a broken spirit He will not despise. True repentance is not a light sorrow for the consequences of sin, but a hatred of sin as sin itself, a loathing of it and a turning from it with purpose of heart. It is to hate and abhor sin as a serpent, to forsake it and to determine in the strength of God to walk no more therein. When the Spirit works this in a man, he finds a deadly poison in the sweetness of sin and therefore he leaves it.

You pray for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and our Lord has pronounced a blessing upon that very hunger. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. This is not a desire for a little morality or a better reputation, but a craving that cries, Lord, end the reign of sin, cast down idols, let righteousness reign. Such a hunger expels the old affections for pride and gain and self, and it is a mark of the work of God in the soul. The righteousness for which the sinner must hunger is not his own, for all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags, but the righteousness of God in Christ. He who knew no sin was made sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. There was an absolute transfer of guilt from His elect to Himself at the bar of justice, and now we stand accepted not for anything we are or can be, but wholly through the blood and righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Remember also that Jesus Christ lives to give repentance and remission of sins. He bids His servants preach repentance and remission in His name among all nations, and He says, Turn from your sin and I will turn from My anger. Quit your sin and your sin is forgiven. Leave it, loathe it, and I will grant you immediate pardon for the sake of the great atoning sacrifice. He ever lives to pray for sinners, and there is joy in the presence of the angels of God and in the heart of God Himself over one sinner that repents.

Therefore continue in relentless prayer. Ask the Lord to show these souls their sin forgiven at the cross, for sin forgiven more effectually breaks the heart than sin merely convicted. When a man sees what his sins laid upon the Lord, his stony heart is dissolved by blood bought pardon, and repentance makes a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the love of Christ and His finished work.

We will join you in praying that the Holy Spirit will stir these hearts, convince them of sin and of righteousness and of judgment, grant them godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, and create in them that blessed hunger and thirst which God has promised to fill, to the praise of His holiness and to the glory of Jesus Christ our Redeemer. Let His will be done, and let His mercy triumph. Amen.
