Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we are deeply moved by your humility and burden for those who are bound in deception.

We agree with you that education and legal knowledge do not make a person righteous, for it is written in Romans 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, and in Jeremiah 17:9 that the heart is deceitful above all things. Even those trained in the law can fall into horrible sins when they reject the law of God, and we must not boast but humbly recognize that apart from Christ we all need mercy.

You have prayed rightly that the truth shall set them free, as Jesus said in John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, and Jesus Himself declared in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. There is no true righteousness apart from Him, and we rejoice that you have come to the Father in Jesus name, for that is the only way we have access to God and the only name by which we can be saved.

We are encouraged by your citation of Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise. This is the heart God desires, and in Psalm 51:6 you are taught that God desires truth in the inward parts. We also cling to the promise in Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. God will indeed fill those who thirst for Him, and He is able to stir hearts that now disregard human life and honest communication.

We rebuke the lies of Satan that hold people in bondage and we ask the Lord to expose every evil work done in darkness, for we know our struggle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of wickedness.

Together we pray, Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before Your throne of grace and we lift up the team at the organization mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives. Lord we ask that You have mercy upon them and forgive their sins, and that You cover those who are Yours with the precious blood of Jesus and give them peace and understanding and protection from the evil one. Work on the hearts of those who do not yet know You, break their hard hearts and give them a broken and contrite spirit that they may recognize their sin and hate their sin and turn from it and not continue to live a sinful life. Pour out Your Holy Spirit upon them and teach them to be righteous and compassionate and to love truth and to do what is right in Your eyes. Stir within them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. We thank You that Your Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to Romans 8:26 and that You hear our prayers. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven and may Your name be exalted in this situation. We ask all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, amen.

We thank you for sharing this prayer so openly. We hear the grief underneath it, the ache of watching people who know the law still choose what harms others and twists the truth, and your sincere desire that they would come to love what is right.

Standing in that tension is not easy. You are asking not just that behavior would change for a moment, but that hearts would be softened enough to truly see what is wrong and turn from it, and to keep thirsting for what is true and good. That is a right and Christlike thing to ask, and we are glad to join you in it.

When a burden like this stays with you, it can help to give it a steady place rather than carrying it all day. You might set aside a brief time each day to bring these same names before the Lord by name, then entrust them to Him and step back into the work He has given you. It can also steady your own heart to share this prayer burden with one trusted pastor or believing friend who will pray with you regularly and help you stay encouraged and not grow weary or bitter. We are praying the Lord keeps your own heart tender and hopeful as you keep seeking Him.

Father, we lift this team and their lawyers and representatives to You and ask for Your mercy on them. Work in their hearts to love truth and to act with compassion and honesty, cover with Your peace those who are Yours, and give wisdom and rest to the one praying as he waits on You. Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is itself a sign that the Spirit of God is working, for such a thirst is not found in the natural heart but is created there by grace. It is well that you have taken up the words of Psalm 51, for there we are taught that what God desires is not outward sacrifice but a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. That is the very heart which thirsts after truth, not to justify itself, but to be made clean.

You do well to pray for the team and for those learned in the law, that they may be saved. We must remember that education and knowledge of the law cannot make a man righteous before God, for all have fallen short of His glory and the most instructed mind may yet engage itself in grievous sin. Judgments, however terrible, do not in themselves produce a satisfactory repentance in the minds of men. There may be a carnal repentance that is of the flesh, a fear of consequences, but true repentance is of another sort altogether. It is a repentance unto life, wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit, a repentance that gives God glory and bows before His righteousness.

True repentance is well described in that simple verse, repentance is to leave the sins we loved before and show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. It is not a mere trembling before the Word, nor a temporary sorrow that soon fades, but a practical repentance that yields works meet for repentance and that lasts. It lives as long as faith lives. Sweet sister Repentance is not a bitter thing to be gotten through once at the beginning and then forgotten, but a charming companion for the whole pilgrimage, making a rainbow with her tears of grief for sin and her glances of hope at the love of Christ and His great finished work.

Therefore we do not preach repentance after the manner of Moses, demanding it as a preparation which man must work up from the depths of his own heart as water from a well. We preach repentance in the name of Jesus, as the gift of God. You are not to seek to draw it up yourselves, but to ask Christ to work repentance in you by His Holy Spirit through belief of the truth as it is set before you in the Word. And that repentance is inseparable from faith. Any repentance that keeps a soul from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. What is true repentance but that which leads a man to look out of self to Christ, and to Christ only, for the remission of sins. Where there is no true repentance there can be no remission, but where there is that godly sorrow which needs not to be repented of, there is full and free forgiveness through His precious blood.

You have prayed that the Lord would stir their hearts and teach them to be righteous and compassionate, and to hate their sins enough to leave them. Know that the Lord does not drive men to repentance as a slave is driven with the whip, but He draws them. The goodness of God leads to repentance. His longsuffering, His daily mercies, His intercession by the Holy Spirit, all are meant to lead sinners to repentance. And when Christ is revealed as the Sun of Righteousness, He becomes the center and King of all truth, spreading righteousness and in so doing saving sinners and glorifying God. To thirst for truth is in the end to thirst for Him, for He alone is truth.

Let us then pray together that the Lord in mercy would grant to these souls, and to us all, that repentance which is unto life. That He would cover with the precious blood of Christ all who are His, and give peace and understanding not as the world gives but as Christ gives. That He would create in them clean hearts and renew right spirits within them, that they may loathe the dishonesty and disregard for human life which now grieves you, and turn to do that which is just and honest in His sight. That they may find that salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and that righteousness is found only in Him.

May the Lord open their lips as He opened David's, that being cleansed from sin they may sing aloud of His righteousness, and may He grant to you to continue in believing prayer, looking ever to Jesus who both grants repentance and gives remission of sins according to the riches of His grace. Let His will be done, and let His name be exalted on high. Amen.

Your prayer is good and pleasing to God, for you ask not for vengeance but for salvation, not for boasting but for mercy. You have prayed according to the Scriptures, and we join our prayer to yours.

You asked that those who are bound by lies may thirst for truth and righteousness. This is exactly what Christ calls us to. He stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink. He does not draw us by force, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire, who come as thirsty men come to water and eagerly drink until they are filled. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. We pray that God will kindle this very thirst in the hearts of that team and their lawyers and all who work with them, that they would not thirst again for the water of this world which never satisfies, but would drink the living water which Christ gives, which becomes within a well springing up into everlasting life.

You prayed rightly that they may be saved through Jesus Christ alone. There is no other way. Salvation is by a short word, if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. We pray that this faith be given to them, and with it righteousness and holiness of truth, not the mere outward form of righteousness which the law can teach, but the true righteousness that comes from being made a new man in Christ.

You also prayed with the words of Psalm 51, that God does not delight in outward sacrifice but in a broken and contrite heart. This is the gift we most need. It is God who gives a contrite and humbled heart, sober and awestruck, full of repentance. A broken heart does not rise up or strike back, it does not seek vengeance, it is quiet and ready to be corrected. We pray that God will work this brokenness in them, that they would recognize their sins, hate their sins, and turn from them, finding forgiveness through the precious blood of Christ. For God has marked out innumerable ways of salvation for those willing to attend, through compunction, repentance, humility, and a contrite heart.

You observed truly that education and knowledge of the law do not make a man righteous. Righteousness is like a breastplate, it must be put on through a life of virtue in Christ, and without it no one can stand firm against sin and the spiritual wickedness that wars against us. We pray that they may put on this breastplate, that they would learn to love honest communication, to regard human life as God regards it, and to act with compassion and justice.

So we pray with you: Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus, have mercy on these souls. Save those among them who do not yet know You. Cover Your chosen people with Your blood and give them peace and understanding. Grant to all of them a broken spirit and an unquenchable thirst for Your truth and Your righteousness.
