Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank you for coming before the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to God.

We agree with your heart that the truth of Christ is what sets people free, as it is written, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. John 8:32. We also cling to the promise that Jesus Himself is the truth, as He said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. Without Jesus, those who are bound by the lies of the enemy remain blinded, for the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ should not dawn on them. 2 Corinthians 4:4.

We lift up together the team and their lawyers and legal representatives that you mentioned. We pray for their salvation and for the work of God upon their hearts. We pray as you did that the precious blood of Jesus would cover those who are His, giving them peace and understanding, and that He would teach all involved to be righteous and compassionate. We are reminded that education and knowledge of the law do not make a person righteous before God, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23. True righteousness comes only through faith in Jesus Christ.

We love your humble spirit in acknowledging that we do not boast before God nor look down on others, and we join you in that humility. We are called to love even those who may act unjustly toward us and to pray for them, as Jesus said, Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Matthew 5:44. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces, and our desire is not for condemnation but for repentance and life.

We pray with you from Psalm 51:16-17, For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise. We ask the Father to give them that broken and contrite heart, to take away the heart of stone and give a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26. Create in them a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within them. Psalm 51:10. Stir their hearts deeply so that they recognize their sin, hate their sin, and turn from it, and that they would no longer do what is evil in His eyes but would hunger and thirst for what is right. For it is written, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Matthew 5:6.

We pray that the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Romans 8:26 would convict them of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment, and lead them into all truth. We pray they would come to value human life and honest communication as God does, that they would speak truth and act with justice and mercy.

Father, in the name of Jesus we ask that You work powerfully on every heart involved in this matter. Let Your will be done. Bring conviction where there is sin, bring repentance where there is hardness, bring peace and understanding to Your children, and let an unquenchable thirst for Your truth and Your righteousness spring up in them. May they be filled as they seek You. We exalt Your holy name and trust Your perfect justice and Your perfect mercy, and we pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We hear the weight you are carrying as you intercede for the team at ### and their lawyers. It is painful to watch people who are entrusted with truth and law seem to disregard honesty and human life, and we understand why your heart grieves and why you are asking God so earnestly for them to hunger for what is right.

We join you in asking the Lord to keep working in hearts, including our own. We know we cannot make anyone turn toward truth, only God can soften a heart and give a desire for righteousness that lasts beyond a moment of regret. That kind of change shows itself over time in different choices, and we can trust Him to do His work in His way and timing while we remain faithful to pray.

One thing that has helped others who carry a similar burden is to set a simple rhythm for this prayer, bringing these names before the Lord at a consistent time, and then intentionally leaving the outcome with Him so bitterness does not take root. Staying rooted in honest fellowship and worship also helps keep our own thirst for truth alive while we intercede for others.

Father, we lift this team and their representatives to You in Jesus name. Cover those who are Yours with peace, and draw those who do not yet know You to Yourself. Work in each heart to bring conviction, humility and a genuine turning toward what is true and good. Give our friend peace and perseverance as they keep praying, and let Your will be done. In Jesus name, amen.

We have heard your burden and we join you in it, for your prayer is according to the mind of God. You ask rightly that the Lord would give an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and that He would work upon hearts that have been bound by lies and have disregarded human life and honest communication.

You have well quoted that word, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. This is the very sacrifice which God requires and which He Himself must work within us. You do well to pray not for a mere outward reformation but for that holy, healthy, heavenly work which is wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit. For there is a carnal repentance which is of the flesh and after the manner of the sinful nature of men, a poor and short lived repentance where men turn away from sin for a time but then go back to it with greater gusto. True repentance hates sin as sin and turns from it with purpose of heart, because it has found there is a deadly poison in its sweetness and therefore loathes it and leaves it. Beware of a superficial repentance, for the Lord abhors it.

What you ask for these souls, that they may recognise their sins and hate their sins enough to leave them, is that true repentance which gives God glory. It does not boast before Him, nor does it look down upon others as though we ourselves had not fallen short of His glory, but it bows low and cries for mercy. And remember, any repentance that keeps a soul from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. The repentance which saves is quite consistent with faith in Christ, for Christ was nailed to the cross for it. We are not to seek to draw up repentance from the depths of our own heart, as you might draw up water from a well, but to ask Christ to work repentance in us by His Holy Spirit, through belief of the truth of God as it is recorded in the Word.

Therefore we will pray with you that the Lord Jesus, who lives to make intercession for the transgressors and lives to give to sinners the Holy Spirit to work in them true belief and true repentance, would visit this team and their lawyers and legal representatives. May He grant them that broken and contrite heart which He will not despise, that they may see their sin as God sees it and turn from present sin because of the love of God who died for sinners. May that repentance be practical and lasting, yielding works meet for repentance, not coming upon them and going away suddenly, but continuing by His grace.

And we pray that He would give them indeed that thirst after righteousness which only He can satisfy, that they may look to Jesus who was pierced for men and set forth to be a propitiation for sin. If they look to Him, that sight will beget repentance and make them weep to think that their Saviour bled and their Sovereign died. There they will find immediate pardon for the sake of the great atoning Sacrifice, and peace and joy to troubled hearts.

Be of good courage and continue in relentless prayer, for the Lord is near unto them that are of a broken heart and saves such as are of a contrite spirit. He hears the intercession of His Son and the intercession of His Spirit within us. May He strengthen your heart as you hope in the Lord, and may His will be done in bringing many to know the truth that sets free, which is Christ Himself.

We commend you and those for whom you pray to Him who is the Truth, and we ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in this prayer before the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for the very thing you ask is what the Lord himself calls blessed. He said blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, and again, if any man thirst, let him come to me and drink. He does not draw by necessity and constraint, but calls those who are inflamed with desire, who come as thirsty men come to water, eager to drink and to retain what is given. Out of such a heart, as Scripture says, shall flow rivers of living water.

We pray with you for the team at the place you named, and for their lawyers and representatives. Scripture warns that the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who hold down the truth in unrighteousness. To disregard human life and to forsake honest communication is to hold down the truth, and it grieves the Lord and it rightly grieves you. Yet the force of truth is so great that even enemies are made to bear witness to it, and God desires not the death of sinners but that they should turn and live.

So we ask the Lord Jesus, in whom alone is salvation and by whose one sacrifice we are perfected forever, to have mercy on them. We ask that his blood cover those who are his, giving them peace and understanding, and that he extend forgiveness to those who have sinned, if they will repent. We pray as you prayed from Psalm 51, that God would grant them a broken and contrite heart, which he will not despise, for he does not delight in outward sacrifice alone. May he create in them a new heart, in righteousness and holiness of truth, not a mere figure of righteousness but the reality that comes through faith and through being made sons in baptism and new life.

We pray that he will teach them to hate their sin and to turn from it, to put on righteousness as a breastplate, that is, a life of universal virtue that guards the heart and cannot be cut through, and to hunger and thirst not merely anyhow but with all desire. May he give them, and give to you also, that unquenchable thirst you have asked for, so that you all pursue truth and righteousness as a man pursues gain, but now transferred to a holy object, and may he increase the fruits of your righteousness as he multiplies seed for sowing.

We thank God that his Holy Spirit intercedes for us, and we continue with you in relentless prayer that the will of the Father be done, that the lost be saved through confession with the mouth and belief in the heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and that all who thirst will come to Christ and drink and be filled. Amen.
