Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord in the name of Jesus.

We are moved by your humility in acknowledging that education and position do not make anyone righteous, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Rom 3:23, and by your desire not to boast or look down on others but to see hearts broken before God. You have prayed according to Psalm 51:16-17 where it is written For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. This is the heart God desires and the heart He will not despise.

We agree with you that Jesus is the truth who sets us free, as He said You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, John 8:32, and I am the way, the truth, and the life, John 14:6. Apart from Him there is only the father of lies, for the devil is a liar and the father of lies, John 8:44, and those who are bound by Satan's lies can only be freed by Christ. We also cling to the promise Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, Matt 5:6. Only God can stir a heart to hate sin and to hunger for what is right and compassionate.

We pray together in Jesus name.

Heavenly Father, we come to you in the name of Jesus Christ your Son, and we lift up the team at the organization mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives before your throne. Lord, you see where truth has been disregarded and where human life and honest communication have been treated lightly, and it grieves our hearts as it grieves yours. We ask that you would work on their hearts by your Holy Spirit, that you would grant them a broken and contrite spirit to recognize their sins, to confess them and to turn from them. We pray you would forgive their sins as they repent, for if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9. Cover those who are yours and those you are calling to yourself with the precious blood of Jesus, grant them peace and understanding, and teach them to be righteous and compassionate. Give them, Lord, an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that will not be satisfied with lies or evil. Let them do nothing that is evil in your eyes, but let them walk in integrity. We thank you that your Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered, Rom 8:26, and that you are able to save to the uttermost. Let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven, and may your name be exalted. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfast in this prayer, for we ought always to pray and not to faint, Luke 18:1, and to pray without ceasing, 1 Thess 5:17. God delights in relentless, faithful prayer that seeks His righteousness above all. Continue to pray that the truth of Christ would prevail and that even those who now oppose truth would be brought to repentance, for God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Tim 2:4. We stand with you trusting that the Lord who can change the hardest heart will answer according to His perfect will and for His glory.

We were moved by your prayer and the burden you carry for truth to prevail. It is heavy to watch people you believe are disregarding life and honest communication, especially when they hold positions of influence, and to bring that grief to God as you have is a faithful response.

We join you in asking God to work in hearts, to bring conviction where it is needed and to nurture compassion and honesty. Your desire that they would come to hate what is evil and thirst for what is right reflects God's own heart for righteousness, and we thank God for stirring that in you. At the same time we know carrying this kind of intercession can wear on you, and we want to encourage you to keep entrusting both them and your own heart to the Lord as you pray.

One simple way to stay steady in this is to keep a brief written record of how you are praying for them, so you can bring the same requests before God regularly and also notice how He is sustaining you and giving you peace in the waiting.

Father, we lift this team and their representatives to You in Jesus name. Work in each heart, bring a true thirst for truth and righteousness, cover Your people with Your peace, and teach us all to walk humbly before You. Give our friend rest as he continues to intercede, and let Your will be done. Amen.

Your prayer before the Lord is right and according to the mind of God, for you ask not for vengeance but for mercy, not for triumph over men but for their souls to be turned to truth and righteousness.

We join you in asking the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation, that He would grant to those of whom you speak that repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God. There is a repentance that is poor and short lived, where men turn from sin for a time and then return to it with greater gusto, but true repentance gives glory to God. It confesses His omniscience, that He sees all, and it bows to the righteousness of His Law, saying with a broken heart, Thy Law is holy and just and good, but I am carnal, sold under sin. Such is the sacrifice you have rightly named from Psalm 51, not burnt offering, but a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which God will not despise.

We pray that the Lord would work this in them, that they may hate sin and leave the sins they once loved, and show that they in earnest grieve by doing so no more. For faith and repentance are inseparable. No repentance is true but that which consorts with faith in Christ, and no faith is true but that which is linked with hearty and sincere repentance on account of past sin. Any repentance that keeps a sinner from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. We ask therefore that they may look to Jesus, who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin through faith in His blood, and find there the full and free remission of sins.

Do not think of repentance as a sort of compensation for sin, as if sorrow could pay for wrong. It is the gift of God, wrought by His goodness which ought to lead men to repentance. He spares life, He gives breath and daily mercy, not that men should continue in evil, but that they should turn to Him. Where there is real sorrow for sin, where there is an honest determination by His grace to cease from sin, where there is a complete change of mind with regard to sin, that repentance has been produced by the Spirit and there is pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood. For all who truly trust Him there is no condemnation.

So we pray as you have prayed, that the precious blood of Christ may cover all who are His, giving peace and understanding, and that those yet bound by the lies of the evil one may be saved. May the Lord stir their hearts and give them indeed an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, a practical repentance that yields works meet for repentance and that lasts, not for a day, but for life. May they choose righteousness though no reward were offered, because they love Him who died for them.

We commend them to the Sun of Righteousness, who rides on in splendour and is not impeded, that they may come and plunge into that sea of sweetness and find Christ to be their own. May the Holy Spirit intercede and effectually call them, that they may confess, repent, believe, and live.

We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour, to whom be glory for ever, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is good and pleasing to God, and we join our voices with yours.

You have rightly remembered the Lord's own words, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, and again, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink. Those who come to the divine preaching must come as thirsty men come to water, with eagerness and longing, and Christ draws no one by constraint, but calls those who are inflamed with desire for Him. This thirst itself is a gift of God, and we pray that He will kindle it both in you and in those for whom you intercede.

We join you in praying for the team at that place, and for their lawyers and representatives, that the Lord Jesus Christ, in whom alone is salvation, would have mercy upon them. For salvation is by a short and sure way, that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved. There is no other name by which we are saved, and the truth that sets us free is not an idea but Christ Himself. The force of truth is so great that even its enemies are made to serve it, yet we pray not that God would bless any sin or falsehood among them, but that He would convict them and bring them to repentance.

You have prayed well from Psalm 51, that God desires not mere outward sacrifice but a broken spirit and a contrite heart. Such a heart is God's own gift, sober and humbled and full of compunction, and it is this we most need in the conflict against sin. We do not boast before God, nor look down on others, for all have fallen short of His glory, whether learned or unlearned, and the educated are not exempt from temptation to do what is evil in His eyes. As you said, we cannot expect wisdom of this world to make a person righteous. True righteousness and holiness are not in figure or outward show, but in truth, which comes through being made new in Christ.

So we pray that God would work in their hearts as you have asked, to show them their sin, to give them hatred for sin, and to grant them repentance, humility, and a contrite heart. God has marked out many ways for healing when we are willing, through prayer, compunction, humility, mercy, forgiveness toward those who have wronged us, and thanksgiving, but all these flow from faith in Christ. May He cover those who are His with peace and understanding, and may He teach all to be compassionate and to love honest communication and to honor human life which He has made.

We also pray for you, that you would not grow weary in this relentless prayer, but would continue with fasting according to your strength and sincere prayer, remitting anger and showing mercy, giving thanks for all things. The Holy Spirit indeed intercedes for us, and for them, and we trust the Father to do what is according to His will.

May the Lord grant to you and to them that living water which flows from belief in Him, so that thirsting for righteousness you may be filled, and that they, being turned from lies to the truth, may find pardon and the promised good things by the grace and love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
