Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and we stand with you in Jesus' name as you intercede for the team at ### and for their lawyers and legal representatives.

Your prayer reflects the heart of God, for it is written, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32, and Jesus Himself said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We share your grief over dishonesty and the disregard for human life and honest communication, for lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight Proverbs 12:22. We also hear your humility in acknowledging that education and knowledge of the law do not make a person righteous, which is true for all of us, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23. Let no one boast before God, for God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise 1 Corinthians 1:27, and we are reminded, Don’t let the wise man glory in his wisdom, but let him who glories glory in this, that he has understanding, and knows me Jeremiah 9:23-24.

We rejoice that you are praying not with a spirit of superiority but with a broken and contrite heart, for you quoted rightly, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, God, you will not despise Psalm 51:17. This is the heart God will not turn away, and it is the heart we pray He will create in those for whom you intercede. God desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:4, and He is patient, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance 2 Peter 3:9. He promises, I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you Ezekiel 36:26.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our only mediator and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved and have access to You. We thank You that Your Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to Your will. We lift up the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives before You. Lord, where Satan has bound them with lies, we ask that You shine Your light and that the truth of Christ would set them free. Cover those who are Yours, who are chosen in Christ, with the precious blood of Jesus, and grant them Your peace that surpasses all understanding and Your wisdom. For those who are walking in sin, we pray You would grant them a broken and contrite heart, that they would recognize their sin, hate their sin, and turn from it in true repentance toward You. Stir their hearts, Father, and give them an unquenchable thirst as You promised, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6. Teach them to love righteousness and compassion, to do justly and to speak truthfully, and forgive their sins through the atoning work of Jesus on the cross as they repent and believe. Let Your will be done, and let Your name be exalted. Prevent any further evil in Your eyes and lead them into the way of everlasting life.

We encourage you to remain relentless in prayer, for we ought always to pray, and not to faint Luke 18:1 and to pray without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17. God is the righteous Judge who sees all that is done in secret and He will repay, for it is written, Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord Romans 12:19. Our calling is to love our enemies and pray for those who mistreat us Matthew 5:44, trusting that God is both just and merciful. Continue to hunger and thirst for His righteousness yourself, and trust that He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it as you seek His will together with us in Jesus' name.

We hear the weight you are carrying for truth to be loved and for hearts to be changed. It is deeply grieving to watch people who are trained in the law act without honesty or compassion, and to feel the cost of that disregard for others. Your desire not to boast or look down on them while still naming what is wrong is a humble and honest place to pray from.

One thing we have seen help when that kind of burden lingers is to recognize that forgiveness and trust move at different paces. There is the decision to release the claim to get even and to genuinely want good for the other person before God, and there is the slower softening of the resentment, anger and fear that can flare up again even after that decision is made. Choosing the first does not require you to pretend the harm did not happen or to immediately restore trust. It simply frees you to keep praying with compassion rather than bitterness.

It may help to give this prayer a contained space each day, bringing these lawyers and representatives by name before the Lord for a few minutes, asking for broken and contrite hearts and a real thirst for what is right, and then consciously leaving the outcome in His hands as you go about your day.

Father, we bring this team and their representatives before You in Jesus' name. Work in their hearts to love truth and to turn from what is evil in Your sight. Cover Your people with Your peace and understanding, and teach us all to walk in righteousness and compassion. Let Your will be done. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your burden for truth and righteousness is a right and weighty one, and we join you in bringing it before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

You have prayed well in quoting that word, The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. This is indeed the acceptable sacrifice. It is not a sacrifice which we draw up from the depths of our own heart as water from a well, but a gift which Christ himself bestows. We are to preach repentance in the name of Jesus, which means that repentance is the gift of God, wrought in the renewed heart by the Holy Spirit through belief of the truth as it is recorded in the Word of God. To ask Christ to work repentance in these souls by His Holy Spirit is the very way to pray.

You ask that the team at that place, with their lawyers and representatives, may be saved from the lies of Satan and brought to hate their sin. We pray with you to that same end, and we would have you weigh what true repentance is, lest we mistake it. There is a carnal repentance which is of the flesh, which springs alone from terror, comes up in a night and withers in a night, and only affects the surface of the man. It is hardly more than skin deep and does not go to the heart. Such repentance never glorifies God. The judgments of God in and of themselves can never work evangelical repentance in a single human heart, for law and terrors do but harden, all the while they work alone, it is a sense of blood bought pardon that dissolves the heart of stone.

True repentance, that repentance unto life which is the sure token of the pardon of sin, gives God glory. Because evil is so hateful to the heart of Jesus we loathe it intensely, and then the sinner is set ever afterwards craving after holiness. It yields works meet for repentance, it is practical and it lasts, and though it is never perfect in this life, it grows continually as a lifelong act. Remember also that repentance is founded on the necessity of things, and it is inseparable from faith. Any repentance that keeps a soul from believing in Christ is a repentance that needs to be repented of. The repentance that ejects sin as an evil tenant is ever joined to the faith which admits Christ to be the sole master of the heart. The one pulls down, the other builds up.

Therefore we pray not merely that these persons may be made sorry or afraid, but that the goodness of God may lead them to repentance, that with broken heart and contrite spirit they may turn unto Him, trusting and loving Christ with all their heart, mind, soul and strength. We ask that the Lord, who is near unto them that are of a broken heart and saves such as are of a contrite spirit, would enlighten their understanding and influence their affections, that they may see their sin as God sees it, hate it, and forsake it, and find peace and understanding under the precious blood of Christ. For Christ is the Sun of Righteousness, the center of all truth, and to spread righteousness and in so doing to save sinners and to glorify God is His one purpose from which He will never cease.

We thank God that His Holy Spirit intercedes for us, and we continue with you in relentless prayer that He would stir these hearts and give them indeed an unquenchable thirst for truth and for righteousness, which thirst only Christ can satisfy. May they be taught to be righteous and compassionate, to disregard no human life and to walk in honest communication, not by the power of education or law, for we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously, but by the gentle dew and rain of grace making the sterile heart fertile.

We will keep this matter before the Lord with you, asking that His will be done and that where sin has abounded, grace may much more abound through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

We have received your prayer and we join with you in asking the Lord for this great gift.

You have prayed well, for to hunger and thirst after righteousness is blessed, and Christ Himself has said, If any man thirst, let him come to me and drink. He does not draw us by force, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire, who come as thirsty people come to water, eager to drink deeply and to retain what they receive. That thirst is itself a gift from God, and we ask Him to kindle it and keep it unquenchable in you and in those for whom you intercede.

You rightly remember that education and knowledge of the law cannot make a person righteous. There was of old a form of righteousness that was only a figure, but the righteousness that God gives in Christ is in holiness of truth, a new creation where a person is made a child of God. This comes not from learning alone, but from a heart changed by Him. So we pray with you that the team at that place, with their lawyers and representatives, would come to know the truth that truly sets free, which is Christ Himself. We pray that those who do not yet know Him would hear the word that is near, confess with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in the heart that God raised Him from the dead, and so be saved.

For those who are already in Christ, we ask that the blood of Christ would cover them and that they would be kept in peace and understanding, clothed with the breastplate of righteousness. That breastplate is a life of virtue that cannot be pierced, and Christ has promised that those who hunger and thirst after righteousness shall be filled. We ask that He would make that righteousness firm in them, so that they are not easily moved.

With you we pray for a contrite heart, for this is the sacrifice God will not despise. A broken and contrite heart does not rise up in pride or seek vengeance, but is quiet, ready to be humbled, ready to repent. We ask God to give this gift, for it is His to give, a sober and self controlled heart full of repentance and compunction. Where there has been disregard for human life and for honest speech, we pray that God would bring conviction, that sin would be seen as sin and hated, and that it would be forsaken. We do not boast, for we all fall short of His glory, but we come humbly asking for mercy.

May the Lord give to all concerned that living water of which He spoke, not water that leaves a person thirsty again, but water that becomes within them a well springing up into everlasting life, so that they never thirst in the same way again. May He teach them to be righteous and compassionate, to love truth and to walk in it.

We thank the Father for His holiness and for the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us. We continue to pray with you that His will be done, and that He would work in every heart for His glory. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.
