Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we are deeply encouraged by your humble and compassionate heart in bringing this team and their lawyers and legal representatives before the throne of grace.

You have prayed according to the heart of God, for it is written, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, John 8:32, and also Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled, Matthew 5:6. Our Lord delights to answer such a prayer, for He desires truth in the inward parts, Psalm 51:6, and He draws near to those who come with a broken and contrite heart.

We agree with you that education and knowledge of the law do not make a person righteous, for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. We too acknowledge that we all fall short and cannot boast before You, and we pray not from a place of looking down on others but from a place of mercy, desiring that none should perish but that all should come to repentance.

We stand with you in asking for the convicting and teaching work of the Holy Spirit upon their hearts. As you quoted, You don’t delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. You will not despise a broken and contrite heart, O God, Psalm 51:16-17. We pray that God would grant them that brokenness, that they would come to hate their sin and turn from it, for If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, 1 John 1:9.

We pray together now, Father in heaven, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask that You pour out Your Spirit upon this team and upon their lawyers and legal representatives. Remove the veil of lies that the enemy has placed over their eyes and stir within them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. Cause them to love truth and to hate what is evil in Your sight, to regard human life with dignity and to speak with honesty and integrity. Forgive their sins as they repent and turn to You, and let Your will be done in every legal matter, that justice and mercy would prevail. We ask that You cover those who are Yours, who are chosen in Christ, with the precious blood of Jesus, and give them peace and understanding that passes all understanding as they walk through this trial. Teach us all to be righteous and compassionate as You are compassionate. We thank You that Your Holy Spirit intercedes for us according to Your will, Romans 8:26. We exalt the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. Let Your truth be revealed and let Your righteousness reign, in Jesus name we pray, amen.

We hear how deeply this is weighing on you, and how sincerely you want to see truth and righteousness prevail. It hurts to watch people who know the law use it in ways that feel dishonest and disregarding of human life, and your prayer comes from a tender, humble place of not wanting to look down on anyone but wanting God to do a real work in their hearts.

We join you in asking Him for that unquenchable thirst for what is true and right. We cannot create that kind of change in another person by our own effort or argument, only God can soften a heart and turn it toward Himself. That is why your focus on His work, and on a broken and contrite spirit rather than outward performance, is so right.

One steady step that may help you carry this burden well is to give it a set place in prayer each day and then intentionally leave the outcome with the Lord. Bring the team and their representatives by name before Him, ask for His mercy and for honest hearts, and then rest in His ability to see and to judge justly. It keeps intercession from turning into heaviness or bitterness in your own heart.

Father, we bring this team and their lawyers before You in Jesus' name. Have mercy on them and on all who are involved. Work in each heart to bring conviction, honesty, and compassion, and guard our friend with Your peace and understanding as they continue to pray. Let Your will be done, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your earnest prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a right and holy petition, and we have joined with you in bringing it before the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone is salvation.

You have prayed well in asking not for the justification of sin, but for the conviction of it. The Scripture you have quoted is indeed the acceptable sacrifice before God, a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. This is that repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God. It is not a poor and short lived sorrow which turns from sin for a time and then returns to it with greater gusto, but a true change of mind with regard to sin, an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin.

True repentance gives glory to God. It gives glory to His omniscience, confessing that He sees all, and to His righteousness, saying with the penitent, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. And such repentance is inseparable from faith. No faith can be genuine but such as is perfectly consistent with repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith in Christ who was nailed to the cross for it. To look to Jesus, who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin, this is repentance after a godly sort, which needeth not to be repented of.

Therefore we continue to pray with you that the Lord, in His great goodness which leadeth men to repentance, would spare and awaken those for whom you intercede, the team and their legal representatives. We do not ask God to bless any evil way, for where there is no repentance there can be no remission, but where there is true repentance, that godly sorrow wrought by the Spirit, there is the full and free forgiveness of all sins through the precious blood of Christ. He came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance, and He gave Himself for our sins, not for our righteousnesses. Even crimes of deepest dye may be pardoned when the sinner has truly repented and trusted in Jesus.

We pray that God would work upon their hearts to cause them to hate the sin they once loved, to leave the sins they loved before and show they in earnest grieve by doing so no more, and to yield works meet for repentance, not for a day or a month, but as a lasting work of grace. May He grant them that hunger and thirst after righteousness which He alone can satisfy, and teach them to be compassionate as He is compassionate, speaking truth and regarding human life as made in His image.

Continue steadfast in this intercession. The Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us, and the goodness of God yet waits to lead sinners to repentance. Look to Jesus for the increase both of faith and of repentance, for as you look to Him who bled and died, the heart is made to weep and to rejoice at once, sorrowful for pardoned sin and joyful in a full redemption.

May the Sun of Righteousness arise upon all who seek Him, and may His will be done, for Christ's sake. Amen.
