Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank you for coming to the Father in the name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we are saved and have access to God.

We agree with you that only the truth of Christ can set people free as Jesus said, You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32. We also hear your heart for those who are bound by lies and for those who are chosen in Christ that they would be covered, kept in peace and taught to walk in righteousness and compassion. Your humility is right before the Lord, that we do not boast and we do not look down on others, for we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God Romans 3:23. Education, position, or knowledge of the law cannot make a person righteous, only the blood of Jesus and a new heart can.

We are burdened with you over the disregard for human life and for honest communication. God desires truth in the inward being Psalm 51:6 and He has promised Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled Matthew 5:6. That hunger is not natural to the fallen heart, it must be given by God, and so we must keep asking Him to stir hearts and to grant repentance.

You rightly prayed from Psalm 51, for God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone but in a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise Psalm 51:17. We pray that God would create in each of these people a clean heart and renew a right spirit within them Psalm 51:10, that they would not only recognize sin but hate it and turn from it. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. That promise is for the lawyers and legal representatives and the team you mentioned as much as it is for us.

We also take comfort that the Holy Spirit Himself intercedes for us according to the will of God Romans 8:26, so even when we grow weary in this relentless prayer, He is interceding for us and for them.

So we pray together now, Heavenly Father we come before Your throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask that You pour out Your mercy on this team and on their lawyers and legal representatives. Save those who are not yet saved, draw them to Jesus who is the way, the truth, and the life John 14:6. For those who are Yours, cover them with the precious blood of Jesus, keep them in Your perfect peace and give them understanding and wisdom beyond their own learning. Teach them to love righteousness and to show compassion, to speak truth and to honor the life You have created. Work deeply in every heart, grant a broken and contrite spirit, open eyes to see sin as You see it, and give an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that will not be satisfied with lies or with evil. Forgive sin where there is confession and turn feet away from what is evil in Your sight. Let Your will be done in this situation as it is in heaven. We ask that You would be glorified, that justice and mercy would kiss, and that all involved would be brought into the freedom that only Your truth gives. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer without ceasing 1 Thessalonians 5:17, for Jesus taught that we ought always to pray and not to faint Luke 18:1. Keep interceding with that broken and humble heart, trusting that God hears, that He is patient and desires all to come to repentance, and that He will fill those who truly hunger for His righteousness in His perfect time.

We hear the weight you are carrying in this prayer, and we are grateful you brought it to us. It is painful to watch people who are trained and educated use their knowledge without honesty or regard for others, and we understand why your heart grieves over that disregard for human life and truthful communication.

We also hear your humility in this. You are not asking from a place of looking down on others, but from a broken and honest heart that wants to see God do a real work in them. That kind of thirst for righteousness you are praying for is not something that appears overnight. In our own lives we have seen that turning toward truth is a change of direction that God grows gradually, with His help, as we stay close to Him in prayer and in His Word and allow His Spirit to shape us over time.

It is good to keep bringing these lawyers and team members before the Lord by name as you are able, simply and persistently, and to leave the work of changing hearts in His hands. And as you intercede for them, we encourage you to keep guarding your own peace as well, staying rooted in fellowship and prayer so discouragement does not settle in.

Father, we lift this team and their representatives to You in Jesus' name. Work gently in their hearts to love truth and to act with compassion and integrity. Cover Your people who are seeking to do right with Your peace and understanding, and let Your will be done in this situation. We trust You to intercede where we cannot reach. In Jesus' name, amen.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Your prayer is itself an evidence of the Spirit's work, for to thirst after truth and righteousness is not natural to the heart of man until God has stirred it. You have prayed well, and according to the mind of God, when you ask not for vengeance upon those who have done evil, but for a broken and contrite heart to be given to them.

It is written, The truth shall make you free, and it is also true that where there is no repentance there can be no remission. Yet that repentance of which you speak, that hatred of sin and turning from it, is not a thing which lawyers or any other learned men can produce in themselves by wisdom or study. Wherever there is real sorrow for sin, wherever there is an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin, wherever there is a complete change of mind with regard to sin, that repentance has been produced by the Spirit of God and it is as much a gift of His grace as faith itself.

You have quoted Psalm 51 aright. God does not delight in outward sacrifice, but in a broken spirit. True repentance gives glory to the omniscience of God, for the sinner confesses that God has seen all, and it gives glory to the righteousness of His law, saying, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. Such repentance does not make excuses, nor does it turn away for a time and then return to sin with greater gusto, but it yields works meet for repentance and it lasts, for it is a sorrow for pardoned sin wrought at the foot of the cross.

Therefore let us pray together that the Lord in His goodness would lead these men to repentance. He spares the guilty and continues to them life and breath and opportunity, not that they may harden themselves, but that His goodness may lead them to turn to Him. May He show them their sin as it is before His holy eyes, and then show them Christ who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin, that looking to Jesus they may weep to think that their Saviour bled for such sins as theirs. May He cover those who are His own with the precious blood, and give them peace and understanding in the midst of trial, and teach all concerned to be righteous and compassionate, choosing righteousness though there were no reward for it.

Continue to pray, and to thirst yourself. Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Look to Jesus, for faith and repentance are inseparable, and both are found in Him. As you look, your own repentance will deepen and your thirst will grow, and you will find that sweet sorrow at the feet of Jesus is itself a rare and exquisite delight, until He who is the Sun of Righteousness shall fill you with His light.

May the Lord hear your cry, grant true repentance where it is needed, and keep you faithful in truth and love, for Christ's sake. Amen.
