Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you together in Jesus name in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we are encouraged that you have come to the Father through Jesus Christ for it is only by His name that we have access to God and there is no other name by which we can be saved.

Your heart reflects what the Lord desires when you pray for those who are bound by lies to be set free and to hunger for what is right. Jesus said in John 8:32 You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. And He Himself is that truth as He said in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We also remember the promise in Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. That hunger is not from man but is stirred by the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us.

We are humbled by your acknowledgment that education and position do not make one righteous, for it is written in Romans 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God. Even those trained in the law can fall into horrible sins when apart from Christ, and we too must guard our own hearts against pride or looking down on others. As you quoted from Psalm 51:17 My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. That is the work only God can do in a heart, to cause a person to recognize sin, to hate it, and to turn from it.

We pray together with you now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up the team that was mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives before Your throne of grace. Lord, where they are bound by Satan's lies, shine Your light and let the truth of Christ set them free. We plead the precious blood of Jesus over those who are Yours, that You would cover them with Your peace and give them understanding and wisdom beyond their own. Teach them, Lord, to be righteous and compassionate, to regard human life and to speak honestly. Father, forgive sins as only You can, and by Your Spirit work deeply in their hearts to bring a broken and contrite spirit that hates sin and no longer lives in it. Stir in them, and in us, an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, that they would not do what is evil in Your eyes but would seek Your will. We thank You for Your holiness and for Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us continually. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfastly in this prayer, trusting that God desires all to come to repentance and that He is faithful to hear the cries of His people who seek righteousness. Keep praying that God would grant repentance and open eyes, and continue to walk humbly before Him, knowing that our own righteousness comes only through Christ.

We were grateful to read your prayer and to join you in it. The way you are carrying this burden stood out to us, not with a desire to look down on others, but with real grief over dishonesty and disregard for life, and a sincere longing for these lawyers and team members to know truth and walk in it.

That thirst for righteousness you are asking God to give them is a good and loving thing to pray for. It is also heavy to carry day after day, especially when you have seen educated people use their knowledge in harmful ways. It is humbling to be reminded that learning alone does not make a heart right before God, and your prayer for broken and contrite hearts shows compassion even while you are hurting.

One thing that may help as you keep interceding is to give that prayer a clear place so it does not have to sit on you constantly. Perhaps set a brief, set-apart time each day to bring this group by name before the Lord as you have here, then consciously entrust them and the outcome to Him until the next time. It can protect your own peace while keeping your intercession faithful, and it leaves room for God to soften any resentment that naturally builds when we feel an injustice gap.

Father, we lift this team, their lawyers and representatives to You in Jesus' name. Work gently in their hearts, draw them toward truth and away from what harms others, and cover Your people involved with peace and understanding. Guard the one who prayed this prayer too, keep their heart tender but steady, and let Your will be done. Amen.

Your prayer that God would give an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is itself a sign of His gracious working, for such a hunger is not natural to the heart of man but is kindled by the Spirit of God. You grieve, and rightly, when human life is disregarded and honest communication is forsaken, and when those learned in the law fall into grievous sin, for the heart that loves righteousness must mourn over unrighteousness wherever it is found.

You have well quoted the Psalmist, for the sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. True repentance, as we have often preached, is no short lived sorrow which turns from sin for a season and then returns to it with greater gusto. It is a work of the Spirit which gives glory to the omniscience of God and to the righteousness of His holy Law, saying with the penitent, Thy Law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. The children's hymn says it truly, repentance is to leave the sins we loved before and show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. It is a complete change of mind with regard to sin, an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin, and it is inseparable from faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. No faith can be genuine but such as is consistent with hearty repentance, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith in Him who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin through faith in His blood.

We join you then in praying that the Lord, in His great goodness which leads sinners to repentance, would work upon the hearts of those of whom you speak, the team and their lawyers and all who are bound in falsehood. We ask not that God would bless them in their sin, but that He would convict them of sin and bring them to that godly sorrow which need not be repented of. May He break and bruise the heart where He has first put sweetness, that they may hate the sin they once loved, confess it honestly before His all seeing eye, and turn from it. And may they be led to look to Jesus, for there is no remission without repentance, and no repentance that saves apart from looking to Christ. He came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance, and He gave Himself for our sins. For all who truly trust Him there is pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood, and no condemnation forever.

We pray also for those who are Christ's among you, that the precious blood of Christ may cover them and keep them in peace and understanding, and teach them to be both righteous and compassionate as their Lord is. May the Sun of Righteousness arise upon you with healing in His wings, and may you continue steadfast in prayer, looking ever to Jesus, who alone is the way, the truth and the life, and through whom alone salvation is found.

We will not cease to ask that the Lord would make His truth known and His righteousness loved, and that His will be done, to the glory of His holy name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is itself pleasing to God, and we join you in it with all earnestness.

Christ Himself cried out, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink, and He promised that he who believes on Him shall have rivers of living water flowing from within. As it is written, blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. This is the thirst you are rightly asking for, not a passing desire but a longing like that of a thirsty man for water, who will not be weary until he has drunk deeply. Such a thirst God Himself kindles and satisfies, for He draws no one by constraint but calls those who are inflamed with desire to come to Him.

You grieve rightly that even those who are learned in the law can fall into grievous sin and disregard human life and honest communication. This shows what we have been taught, that there was of old a righteousness in figure, but true righteousness is not from mere knowledge or outward observance. True righteousness is righteousness and holiness of truth, which comes when a person is made new in Christ and puts on the breastplate of righteousness, a life of universal virtue that guards the heart. Without Christ, education cannot make a person righteous or compassionate.

Therefore we pray with you as you have prayed from Psalm 51. God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but a broken and contrite heart He will not despise. It is God who gives a contrite and humbled heart, sober and awestruck, full of repentance and compunction. Such a heart does not rise up or seek vengeance, but is quiet under reproach and ready to turn from sin. We ask the Lord Jesus to work in the hearts of these lawyers and representatives, and of all who are entangled in lies, to grant them that broken spirit, to make them recognize their sin and hate it, so that they do not continue to live in it.

We ask that the Lord forgive sins only as they are confessed and forsaken through faith in Jesus Christ alone, for salvation is in Him alone, and that He would cover with His precious blood those who are His, giving them peace and understanding in the midst of this conflict. We pray that He would make that living water to be in them a well springing up into everlasting life, and stir in all concerned a true hunger for what is right and true, that they may do nothing that is evil in His eyes but walk in honesty and mercy.

We will continue in relentless prayer with you, giving thanks for the Holy Spirit who intercedes for us, and asking that the Father's will be done and that many may come to thirst for Christ and be filled.
