Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in this fervent prayer, lifting up the team at , their lawyers, and legal representatives before the throne of grace. We recognize the power of truth, for Jesus Himself declared, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." (John 8:32). It is only through the truth of the Gospel that hearts can be set free from the snares of Satan, who is the father of lies (John 8:44).

We stand on the promise that "if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9). We pray that the precious blood of Jesus, which was shed for the remission of sins, would cover these individuals, bringing conviction, repentance, and transformation. May they come to hate sin as God hates it, turning away from evil and embracing righteousness. As it is written, "Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the Lord, and He will have mercy on him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon." (Isaiah 55:7).

We acknowledge that education and worldly wisdom do not guarantee righteousness, for "the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God." (1 Corinthians 3:19). It is the Holy Spirit who convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), and we pray that He would move mightily in the hearts of these individuals. May they recognize their need for a Savior and turn to Jesus, the Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and we pray that they would come to know Him as Lord and Redeemer.

We also lift up the Christians among them, asking that You would strengthen their faith and fill them with boldness to stand for truth and righteousness. May they be salt and light in their spheres of influence (Matthew 5:13-16), reflecting the character of Christ in their actions and words. We pray that You would grant them wisdom, discernment, and compassion as they navigate these challenging circumstances.

Lord, we grieve with you over the disregard for human life and honest communication that has taken place. We ask that You would stir their hearts, creating in them a hunger and thirst for righteousness, for "blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled." (Matthew 5:6). Break their hearts for what breaks Yours, and draw them into a deep, abiding relationship with You.

We thank You for Your holiness and for the intercession of the Holy Spirit, who prays for us according to Your will (Romans 8:26-27). We exalt the name of Jesus, for He is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5), and it is through His name alone that we have access to the Father.

Heavenly Father, we surrender this situation into Your hands, trusting that Your will be done. We pray for justice, mercy, and redemption, knowing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in this matter, as it is in heaven.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden so honestly. We hear your deep longing for truth and righteousness to prevail, and how grieving it is to watch honest communication and regard for human life be set aside.

We join you in that prayer. You named something important and humbling, that even those with much education can still fall short. It reminds us that a real thirst for what is right does not come from knowledge alone, but from God softening and changing the heart. That is His work, and it is good and right to keep asking Him for it, both for others and for ourselves. Your humility in not wanting to boast or look down on others honors Him.

When a burden like this is heavy, it can help to bring it to the Lord in a steady, simple way rather than carrying it alone all day. When the grief rises, tell Him again what you have told Him here, ask for His will to be done, and then rest in His care for you as well. He sees what is happening, He is both just and merciful, and He hears the prayers of His people.

Father, we lift this team and their lawyers and representatives to You. Work in each heart and give a real love for truth and for doing what is right. Cover those who are Yours with Your peace and understanding, and teach us all to walk with compassion and honesty. Keep our own hearts tender and contrite before You. We trust Your will to be done, in Jesus' name, amen.

Praying for your request and you

Psalm 100:4
4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and his name.
Mathew 5:44
But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
1 Peter 4:8

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
Luke 10:27

He answered, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.
Mathew 7:1-3

7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
Isaiah 54:17a
No weapon formed against you shall prosper
Mathew 18:20
20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.

Your prayer is a right and good one before the Lord, for blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, and that thirst itself is a gift from heaven. Where the Spirit of God works, He makes the heart to loathe its sin and to long for truth as a thirsty man longs for water.

You have well quoted the Psalmist, For Thou desirest not sacrifice, else would I give it, Thou delightest not in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise. This is the repentance that God accepts. It is not a poor and short lived turning away for a time and then going back to sin with greater gusto, but a true change of mind wrought by the Spirit of God. Such repentance gives glory to the omniscience of God, confessing that He sees all, and it gives glory to the righteousness of His law, saying with the penitent, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me, for I am carnal, sold under sin. It is not a sorrow that keeps a man from Christ, but a sorrow at the feet of Jesus, sorrow for pardoned sin, because it was laid upon Christ who was set forth to be a propitiation for sin through faith in His blood.

Remember also that faith and repentance are inseparable. No faith can be genuine but such as is consistent with hearty and sincere repentance for past sin, and no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith in the Lord Jesus. We are not to preach repentance as a preparation for coming to Christ, as though a man must make himself worthy, but repentance and remission of sins are to be preached in His name. Where there is real sorrow for sin and an honest determination by God's grace to cease from sin, that repentance has been produced by the Spirit of God and it is as much a gift of His grace as faith itself. And where there is true repentance, there is the full and free forgiveness of all sins, for His blood was shed not for all men in general only, but with a special view to the redemption of His elect, and He loved the church and gave Himself for it.

You grieve, and rightly, that men of learning and of law should disregard human life and honest communication. Yet the goodness of God ought to lead men to repentance, and His sparing mercy is space to turn unto Him. Let us not boast, for all have fallen short of the glory of God, and the educated no more than the unlearned can claim righteousness apart from Christ. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved.

Let us pray together for these souls. O Lord our God, in the name of Jesus Christ Thy Son, we ask that Thou wouldst work upon the hearts of the team at that place and upon their lawyers and legal representatives. Convict them by Thy Spirit, give them broken and contrite hearts that hate sin and turn from it, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Cover those who are Thine with the precious blood of Christ and grant them peace and understanding, and teach them to be righteous and compassionate. Let them see Thy law to be good and Thy gospel to be their only hope, and bring them to look to Jesus, that they may find repentance unto life and remission of sins in His name. Let Thy will be done, and let Thy name be exalted on high.

Continue in relentless prayer, and look to Jesus for the increase of both faith and repentance, for practical repentance will yield works meet for repentance and will last, not for a day only, but for a life. He who has begun this good work in you will perfect it, and He is able to do far more for them than we can ask or think.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in this prayer and we thank God for the thirst He has already stirred in your own heart for truth and righteousness. You have prayed well, and according to the Scriptures.

Jesus Himself stood and cried, If any man thirst, let him come to Me and drink. He does not draw us by constraint, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire, who come as thirsty men come to water, eager to drink and to retain what is given. The promise is sure, blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. And the water He gives is living water, not as from a passing spring, but a well within the soul springing up into everlasting life, so that the one who drinks shall never thirst again.

You are right to pray for a broken and contrite heart for these people, for the team and for their lawyers and representatives. The Psalm teaches us that God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but the sacrifice of God is a contrite spirit, a broken and contrite heart God will not despise. Such a heart does not rise up or seek vengeance, but is quiet, humbled, ready to confess its need. This is a gift God alone can give, a sober and awakened heart that sees sin as sin and hates it and turns from it. We cannot create it in ourselves or in others, we can only ask Him to work it within.

We also join you in praying for their salvation in the only name by which we are saved. The word is near, that if we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved. We pray that the blood of Christ would cover those who are His, and that those who are still bound by lies would be set free, for the truth shall set you free indeed. True righteousness is not mere outward knowledge or legal learning, as you have humbly noted, for even the educated can fall into horrible sins. True righteousness is righteousness and holiness of truth, a new creation in Christ, a life of virtue that becomes like a breastplate, guarding the heart against the powers and spiritual wickedness that war against us.

So we pray with you now. Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, we ask for Your mercy upon this team and upon every lawyer and representative involved. Forgive sins, open eyes that have been blinded, and grant repentance that leads to life. Give them, and give us all, an unquenchable thirst for truth and for honest communication, and a love for righteousness and compassion and for the dignity of human life. Create in them a broken and contrite heart, teach them to love what You love and to hate what is evil in Your sight, and cover Your people with Your peace and understanding. Let Your will be done, and let Your Holy Spirit intercede and work where we cannot. We ask this trusting that You hear those who come thirsting to Christ, the fountain of living water. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this burden and for praying with such care for those who seem far from truth. Your grief over dishonesty and disregard for life is right, and your desire to see hearts changed to hunger for what is right honors God.

Scripture teaches that the deep thirst we feel is ultimately a thirst for God Himself. Jesus stood and cried, if anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. He was not speaking of physical thirst but of the spiritual thirst that lives in every person. We try to fill it in many other ways, but only He can satisfy it, because He is God. That is why He said, blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That hunger is a gift, and God promises to fill those who truly seek Him.

It is also important to remember what righteousness really is. No one can establish his own righteousness before God by education, by knowledge of the law, or by good works. All have fallen short. The righteousness God accepts is His own righteousness, given to us through faith in Jesus Christ. He made Christ who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. So the thirst for righteousness you are praying for can only be satisfied when a person turns to Christ and receives what He alone provides.

That turning begins with a broken and contrite heart. As you quoted from Psalm 51, God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone, but in a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart He will not despise. It is that humility, that recognition of sin and hatred for it, that opens the way for mercy. At the cross mercy and truth met together, righteousness and peace kissed. Justice was satisfied because the penalty was paid by Jesus, and mercy was extended because His blood was shed. That is the only ground on which forgiveness and transformation can come.

Your prayer is humble and right not to boast and not to look down on others, while still being honest that education does not make a person righteous. Your compassion reflects the Lord's own heart, who does not wish any to perish.

We join you in praying that God will work in the hearts of those you mentioned, their counsel and representatives, and all who are involved. We pray that the Holy Spirit will convict them of sin, grant them a true brokenness over what is evil in God's sight, and create in them an unquenchable thirst for truth and for the righteousness that comes only through Jesus. We pray that those who do not yet know Christ would hear the gospel and understand that now is the day of salvation, and that those who are already His would be covered by His blood, given peace and understanding, and taught to walk in compassion and integrity. May God lead them into truth and teach them, for He is the God of salvation, and may His will be done in all of these matters.

May the Lord encourage you as you continue to intercede, and may He keep your own heart thirsting for Him and filled by Him.
