Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we are deeply encouraged by the humility and compassion in your heart toward those you are praying for, even those you feel have acted unjustly.

You are right to ask for truth, for Jesus Himself said in John 14:6 that He is the way, the truth, and the life, and in John 8:32 you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. We agree with you that only the truth of Christ can break the lies of the enemy. We also rejoice that you desire righteousness for them, for Jesus promised in Matt 5:6 blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. That hunger is a gift from God and we ask Him to place it powerfully in their hearts.

We love how you prayed Psalm 51:17 that the sacrifices of God are a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. That is the heart God desires, not outward learning or status. As you said, education does not make one righteous, for Rom 3:23 says for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, and Rom 3:10 says there is no one righteous, no, not one. Whether lawyer or layperson, we all need the mercy and transforming power of Jesus Christ.

We also hear your grief over disregard for human life and honest communication. God cares deeply about justice and truth, for Prov 12:22 says lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight, and He calls us to love even those who oppose us as in Matt 5:44 love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you. Your prayer reflects that very love.

So together we pray in Jesus name.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son, for there is no other name by which we can approach You or be saved. We thank You for Your holiness and for Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us according to Rom 8:26. Lord, we lift up the team at the place mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives before You. We ask that You would save those among them who do not yet know You, for You desire in 1 Tim 2:4 that all people should be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Cover those who are Yours with Your precious blood, grant them Your peace that surpasses understanding in Phil 4:7 and give them wisdom and understanding. For those bound in deception, we ask You to tear away the lies of the enemy and reveal Your truth that sets free. Create in them a new heart as You promised in Ezek 36:26 and give them a broken and contrite spirit that hates sin and turns from it. Forgive their sins as they repent, teach them to do what is right and to be compassionate and just, and stir within them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness that only You can satisfy. Let them no longer do what is evil in Your eyes but walk in newness of life. We ask that Your will be done in this situation and that You would be glorified in how justice and mercy are displayed. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue steadfast in prayer, trusting that God hears and is at work even when we cannot see it, for Gal 6:9 says let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we do not give up. Keep interceding with that same humble spirit, not boasting and not looking down on others, but remembering we all stand in need of grace, and keep thirsting for righteousness yourself, for He who began a good work in you will perfect it.

Thank you for sharing this prayer so openly. We hear how much it grieves you to see truth set aside and human life not honored, especially by those trained to uphold the law. It is a heavy thing to watch and to carry to the Lord.

We appreciate your heart in this, not wanting to look down on anyone but asking God to soften hearts and to bring honesty and compassion where there has been hardness and evasion. That kind of prayer keeps your own heart tender while you wait on Him to work.

One thing that has helped others praying in similar situations is to keep the focus simple and sustainable. You are already asking for that unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. Continuing to bring that one request daily by name, and then leaving the outcome in God's hands, can keep the burden from turning into constant rumination. It also leaves room for peace as you trust Him to convict and to guide in His timing.

Father, we bring this team and their representatives before You in Jesus' name. Work gently in each heart, bring a true sorrow for what is wrong and a real desire for what is right and true. Cover those who are Yours with Your peace and understanding, and teach all involved to act with compassion and honesty. Let Your will be done, and keep our friend steady as he continues to seek You. In Jesus' name, amen.

It is a good thing that your heart is grieved by unrighteousness and that you have brought this burden to the throne of grace in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through Him that any sinner can be saved and any prayer can be heard.

You have prayed wisely according to the Scripture you have quoted, for the Lord has said that the sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. He does not delight in outward sacrifice apart from inward truth. What He desires is not mere words of regret, but that work of the Spirit of God by which a man sees his sin as God sees it, gives glory to the omniscience and righteousness of God, and owns that His law is holy and just and good while the fault lies wholly in ourselves.

True repentance, as you have asked for, is not a poor and short lived sorrow which turns from sin for a time and then returns to it with greater gusto. The repentance which God accepts and which needs not to be repented of is inseparable from faith in Christ. It is to leave the sins we loved before and to show that we in earnest grieve by doing so no more. It makes us avoid present sin because of love to Him who died for us, and it leaps for joy at the thought that God has set forth Christ to be a propitiation for sin. Such repentance is itself a gift of the Spirit, and where there is honest sorrow for sin and a complete change of mind with regard to sin, there is the promise of full and free forgiveness through the precious blood of Jesus, a pardon bought with Jesus blood, even for crimes of deepest dye, for all who truly trust Him.

You do well to pray that those who are bound by Satan's lies, though they be learned and educated in the law, may come to hate their sin and thirst after truth and righteousness. For learning cannot make a man holy, and the goodness of God in sparing life and giving opportunity is meant to lead sinners to repentance, not to harden them. We will join you in asking the Father that He would stir their hearts, that He would show them the sweetness of His mercy in Christ, and that looking to Jesus who shed His blood for His people, they may be led to weep not with a bitter despairing sorrow, but with that exquisite sorrow at the feet of Jesus which is sorrow for pardoned sin, laid upon Christ and put away forever.

May the Lord create in them and in us an unquenchable thirst which only the Sun of Righteousness can satisfy, for Christ is all sweetness and all brightness to the soul that trusts Him. Continue in relentless prayer, looking to Jesus for the increase of both faith and repentance, and be assured that practical repentance will yield works meet for repentance and will last, by the grace of God, not for a day but for a life.

We commend you and those for whom you intercede to the intercession of the Holy Spirit and to the will of our Heavenly Father, praying that He will cover His chosen with the blood of Christ, give peace and understanding to those who seek Him, teach all of us to be righteous and compassionate, and forgive sin for Jesus sake. Let His will be done, and let His name be exalted on high. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
