Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join with you in this fervent prayer, lifting up the team at , their lawyers, and legal representatives before the throne of grace. It is true that the truth shall set us free, as our Lord Jesus declared in John 8:32, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." We recognize that Satan is the father of lies (John 8:44), and those bound by his deceit are in desperate need of the liberating power of God’s Word.

We stand on the promise of 1 John 1:9, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." We pray that the precious blood of Jesus would cover these individuals, breaking every chain of deception and sin. May they come to a place of repentance, turning away from evil and embracing the righteousness that comes through faith in Christ. As it is written in Ezekiel 36:26, "I will also give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh."

We acknowledge that education and worldly wisdom do not guarantee righteousness. The apostle Paul warns in 1 Corinthians 3:19, "For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God." We humbly ask that the Lord would humble the hearts of these lawyers and legal representatives, revealing to them their need for a Savior. May they recognize that their works, no matter how impressive in the eyes of men, are as filthy rags before a holy God (Isaiah 64:6). We pray that they would come to understand that true righteousness is not found in human achievement but in the grace of Jesus Christ.

It is deeply troubling to see the disregard for human life and honest communication. We rebuke the spirit of deception and call forth a hunger and thirst for righteousness in these individuals, as Jesus promised in Matthew 5:6, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled." We pray that the Holy Spirit would convict them of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8), leading them to a place of brokenness and repentance.

We also lift up the Christians within this situation, asking that they would be covered by the blood of Jesus and filled with peace and understanding. May they walk in the fullness of the Spirit, demonstrating the fruit of righteousness and compassion (Galatians 5:22-23). We pray that they would be bold witnesses for Christ, shining the light of truth in the midst of darkness (Matthew 5:16).

Father, we exalt Your name and surrender this situation into Your hands. We trust in Your perfect will and timing, knowing that You desire all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Stir the hearts of these individuals, Lord, and ignite within them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness. May they come to know You as their Lord and Savior, turning from their sins and embracing the new life found only in Jesus Christ. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.

Let us continue to stand in the gap for these individuals, interceding on their behalf with persistence and faith. As we pray, let us also examine our own hearts, ensuring that we are walking in truth and righteousness, setting an example for others to follow. May the Lord use this situation for His glory, drawing many to Himself through the power of the Gospel.

We hear the ache in your words, the way it grieves your heart to watch people trained in law disregard human life and honest communication. That kind of burden doesn't come from a place of superiority; it comes from love, and we sit with you in that. When evil seems to wear a professional suit and carry a briefcase, it can feel disorienting and heavy.

What you are doing right now matters more than it may feel. Persistent prayer for another's heart is not passive resignation, it is real spiritual work. Sometimes we only see the outer shell of a situation, but God is moving in hidden places, stirring what we cannot yet perceive. We stand with you in asking Him to create in them that unquenchable thirst for what is true and right, even if the thirst begins as simple discontent with where they are.

In the days ahead, whenever the grief or frustration rises, try letting it become a brief, quiet prayer right in the moment, no need for many words. A sigh offered to God often carries the weight better than a planned speech. He knows.

We pray with you now:

Lord Jesus, you see the men and women this beloved intercessor is burdened for. You know their names, their hidden fears, their rationalizations, and the ways they have ignored what is right. Stir their hearts until they can no longer rest easy in what grieves yours. Grant the gift of true repentance, not forced, but breaking through from within. For the one who is praying, give steady peace and renewed strength. Guard them from despair over what they see. We trust you to work where we cannot reach, and we ask it all in your name, Jesus. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is well that you grieve over the sin of those who disregard truth and human life, and it is a sign of grace that you bring them before the throne of mercy. Yet take heed that your very prayers do not become a snare to your own soul, lest you think that earnest words alone can break the stony heart. True repentance is not a thing that can be worked up by any entreaty of ours, however fervent; it is a gift of God, a work of the Holy Spirit, and where it comes, it always gives glory to Christ. There is a repentance that is of the flesh, a sorrow that springs from the fear of consequences, from a wounded pride, or from the mere uneasiness of a conscience that cannot sleep. It may last for a season, but it soon passes away, leaving the heart harder than before. The repentance that saves is that which sees sin as an offense against God, and turns from it with a hatred that nothing but the blood of Jesus can expiate. When the Holy Spirit comes to convict, He does not merely break the bone so that it aches for a time; He breaks it so thoroughly that the whole man is made low, and looks away from himself to the uplifted Savior. That is the broken and contrite heart which God does not despise.

You pray for truth and righteousness to be sought with an unquenchable thirst, and this is a right prayer, for it is by a knowledge of the truth that men are saved. But mark this: no truth saves apart from the Truth as it is in Jesus. A man may know the law, and yet be a stranger to the Gospel; he may understand justice, and yet have no part in mercy. The truth that sets free is not a bare creed, but a living reality, the Truth of God's salvation, which is Christ Himself. There is a real Fall, a real sinfulness, and for those who know this, there is a real Atonement, a real righteousness, and a real Heaven. If the lawyers and men of learning whom you mention are ever to be turned from their evil, it will be as they are brought to see that their own wisdom is but foolishness, and that the righteousness they need is not in their statutes, but in the perfect obedience of the Lord Jesus. Pray for them, but let your faith rest in the truth that the Holy Spirit alone can glorify Christ to their souls.

The danger you face, and the danger all who intercede must face, is a subtle leaning upon the machinery of prayer rather than upon the God who hears. You cannot force the Spirit's hand, nor will your tears, precious as they are, add weight to the finished work of Calvary. The Spirit waits to glorify Christ, and He will take of the things of Christ and show them to the hearts He opens. Sometimes our zeal for the conversion of others can mask a little legalism in our own bosom; we begin to think that if we pray in a certain manner, or with a certain persistence, we shall merit the answer. Remember that we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. Not by our prayers, not by our fears, not by our sincerest grief over others' sin do we obtain anything, but by simple, childlike reliance upon the testimony God has given of His Son. Faith is the only soil in which true prayer grows, and it is the Spirit who creates that faith within us.

Let your tears for those who stumble be real and bitter, but let them not drive you to despair, nor to any repentance that keeps you from resting in Christ. If a repentance makes you think that Christ cannot save some sinner because his sin is too great, that is a repentance to be repented of. The blood of Jesus cleanses from all sin, and His arm is not shortened. Cast yourself and your burden upon Him, and then go on pleading, but with a heart that says, "Nevertheless, not my will, but Thine be done." The Lord grant that those whose bones He breaks may find in Christ the Healer of their wounds, and that the truth of His salvation may be their song.

You pray for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness, and rightly so, for our Lord Himself declared, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness.” Yet mark this: the thirst He blesses is not a mild wish but a raging desire, a transfer of every longing from earthly gain to heavenly virtue. For as the covetous man pants after more and more wealth, so must the soul pant after righteousness, not merely anyhow, but with all consuming zeal. Do not think such a thirst can be slaked by human effort or by the letter of the law; the law provided a shadow, a figure of purity, not the truth of righteousness. What avails a clean body if the heart is foul? The new man is created “in righteousness and holiness of truth,” and this comes solely from the water that Christ gives.

Therefore, when you cry out for these lawyers and servants to be stirred and taught righteousness, lead them first to the living fountain. Christ stands and cries, “If any man thirst, let him come unto Me, and drink.” He draws no one by force; He calls the willing, the inflamed, the desperate. The water He gives becomes a well springing up into everlasting life, quenching all thirst forever. Do not merely pray that they hate their sins and act uprightly; pray that they confess with their mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead. There lies the short word of faith that holds salvation and righteousness together, not in the vexation of endless works, but in a living trust in the Savior of the world.

Yet tremble as you intercede. For that fire is unquenchable. You see the sun ever burning and not consumed; you know the bush that blazed and was not destroyed. If your prayer stops short of their full conversion, they shall taste that furnace by experience when escape is impossible. Believing alone is not enough, even the devils believe and shudder, unless the life follows. A broken and contrite heart God will not despise, and you do well to quote the psalm. But a heart merely pained for a moment, then returning to its vomit, deceives itself. Do not cease to plead that the Spirit would so work on them that they not only recognize sin but flee from it as from a serpent, and run to Christ with the same certainty of the Samaritan crowds who cried, “We know that this is of a truth the Christ, the Saviour of the world.”

Meanwhile, increase the fruits of your own righteousness. As almsgiving produces a bountiful harvest, so your intercession and holy living may redound to their benefit, for God often grants spiritual return through the faithful prayers of His saints. Yet all must be done in humility; you have no ground to boast, for every soul stands only by grace. Go on, then, thirsting yourself for the living water, that from your own belly may flow rivers to a parched and perishing generation. Pray without ceasing, but pray with faith, knowing that the Lord’s arm is not shortened that it cannot save, and that He came to draw all men, yes, even lawyers hardened in deceit, to Himself.

It strikes the heart when you look at those trained in the law and see them entangled in what they should despise. Your grief over their disregard for life and honesty is understandable. We wish we could expect righteousness from the educated, but Scripture reminds us that knowledge alone never changed a single heart. That is why your prayer is not in vain, for God is not limited by a society's moral decline. In the days of the judges, when every man did what was right in his own eyes, in the midst of that crooked and perverse generation, God was still working mightily in the lives of those who were open to Him. He still works that way today.

You are asking for God to grant them a broken and contrite heart, which is the right plea. The sacrifice acceptable to Him is not an outward performance of religion. It is that shattered spirit that hates its own sin. The trouble is that sin is not just a list of wrong actions; it is a nature, an inherited condition of death that entered the world through one man's offense. No amount of legal expertise can overturn that reign of death. The law they studied merely makes the knowledge of sin clear. It lights up the coveting, the deceit, the pride that were already alive within, but it cannot give life.

Many highly intelligent people are ignorant of God's righteousness and are busy trying to establish their own. That is the snare of the well-educated mind. We look at ourselves as instructors, but we refuse to teach ourselves. We forget that the judgment of God will be according to truth, not according to a legal degree. He knows the heart. Your recognition that we cannot boast before Him is vital. We are not looking down on them from a height of moral superiority, because we all once had our own conversation in the lusts of the flesh.

Your prayer for their thirst for truth and righteousness can only be satisfied by one thing: the gift of righteousness that reigns in life through Jesus Christ alone. When a person truly receives the abundance of His grace, the nature of sin is broken. It does not mean a person instantly becomes perfect, but sin becomes unnatural to them. It is no longer their practice. The Spirit of God plants the truth in the heart by intuition, and that deep awareness cries out, "Abba, Father." Righteousness becomes the natural desire.

The enemy drives people to sin because he has sinned from the beginning, and he delights in the destruction it brings. But the Son of God was manifested for this very purpose: to destroy the works of the devil. The promise stands firm that sin shall not have dominion over a person who is born of God. His seed remains in them, and they cannot keep living in a pattern of sin. They are no longer bound to obey the old master. Instead, they yield themselves to God as those who are alive from the dead.

Take heart in your relentless prayer. Do not be tempted to believe that some hearts are too hard. Be careful, though, not to let your own heart become bitter by blaming God for the tragedies others create. Death is the result of man's sin, not God's desire. The Lord so loves them that He gave His life to redeem a treasure from this corruption. He purchased the whole field to get the pearl. Continue to ask Him to shine the light of truth into that darkness, for He is able to make the crooked places straight and cause even a sinful heart to thirst for His living water. He is working, even now.

We are deeply grateful that you entrusted us with the privilege of standing in prayer with you for such a heartfelt and urgent request. Your cry for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness among those bound by deception, especially within the legal team and their representatives, has been laid before the throne of grace with earnest hearts.

We continue to lift up these precious souls, asking the Holy Spirit to convict, soften, and transform their hearts. May they come to hate sin as You do, Lord, and turn from every path that grieves Your heart. We pray that Your truth would break through every lie, and that righteousness would shine like a beacon in their lives, guiding them into repentance and restoration.

If You, in Your perfect timing and wisdom, have already begun to move in response to these prayers, we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report—how the light of Your truth has pierced the darkness, or how hearts have been stirred toward repentance and change. Your testimonies strengthen our faith and glorify Your name!

If, however, the battle still rages and the answer has not yet been made clear, we invite you to post this request again so that we may continue to stand with you in relentless prayer. We will not grow weary in lifting up these souls, trusting that Your Word will not return void and that Your Spirit is at work even when we cannot see it.

May the Lord bless you abundantly as you persist in seeking His face, trusting in His goodness, and interceding for those who desperately need His saving grace. We pray all these things in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
