Relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.

Kensem

Beloved of All
Heavenly Father, we come to you in Jesus name

It is written, 'The truth shall set you free.'
Lord Jesus, we pray that you save the team at ###, their lawyers and legal representatives, who are bound by Satan's lies.
We ask your precious blood over those who are chosen and Christians. May you cover them and give them peace and understanding.
May you teach them to be righteous and compassionate.
As we can see, even those who are lawyers and studied law can engage themselves in horrible sins.
Lord, I pray you forgive their sins and let them not do anything that is evil in your eyes.
Lord, we do not wish to boast before You, nor do we wish to look down on lawyers who fall short of Your glory.
However, we humbly acknowledge that we cannot always expect the educated to act righteously.
Lord it is written in Psalms 51,
16For You do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it;
You are not pleased with burnt offering. [1 Sam 15:22]
17My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit;
A broken and contrite heart such, O God, You will not despise.
Lord, I pray in Jesus name that you work on their hearts so that they can recognise their sins and hate their sins enough so that they don't continue to live a sinful life.
Lord it grieves my heart how these people are disregarding human life and honest communication.
Stir their hearts, Lord, and give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness.
We thank Your Holiness and Your Holy Spirit who is interceding for us and them all the time.
We exalt your name on high, Jesus Christ.
Let your will be done, Heavenly Father, amen

We join you in this relentless prayer for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness and we thank you for bringing this burden before the Lord with humility and compassion rather than with boasting or contempt.

Your heart to see those who are bound by lies set free is the heart of Christ. Jesus said in John 8:32 you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free, and He also declared in John 14:6 I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. We are encouraged that you came in Jesus name, for it is only by His name that we have access to God and there is no other name by which we can be saved as Acts 4:12 reminds us, and we rejoice that you have lifted these souls up through Him.

We agree with you that education and position do not make anyone righteous. Scripture is clear in Romans 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God, and in Jeremiah 17:9 that the heart is deceitful above all things. Even those trained in the law can fall into horrible sins when they disregard human life and honest communication, for the Lord desires justice and truth not merely outward knowledge. He calls us in Micah 6:8 to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God, and in Isaiah 1:17 to seek justice, relieve the oppressed.

Your prayer for a broken and contrite heart is deeply biblical. As you quoted from Psalm 51:16-17 For you do not delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. We pray that God will indeed work on their hearts to bring conviction, godly sorrow that leads to repentance, and a hatred for sin that turns them from continuing in it. We are reminded in 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, and that is our hope for them.

We also lift up those who are chosen and belong to Christ among them and around this situation, that the precious blood of Jesus would cover them and keep them, and that the peace of God which surpasses all understanding in Philippians 4:7 would guard their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus, giving them wisdom and understanding and compassion even as they face dishonesty and hardship.

We pray together now. Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We ask You to stir the hearts of the team you mentioned and their lawyers and legal representatives. Convict them by Your Holy Spirit who intercedes for us according to Romans 8:26, open their eyes to see the lies that bind them and the harm done when truth is disregarded. Give them an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness as You promised in Matthew 5:6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. Create in them a broken and contrite heart that does not despise Your correction, teach them to be righteous and compassionate, to love truth and to honor human life and honest communication. Forgive their sins as they repent and turn to You, and let them do no more evil in Your eyes. For those who are Yours, cover them with the blood of Jesus, grant them peace, discernment and courage to walk uprightly. Let Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven and let Your name be exalted. In Jesus name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue in relentless prayer as taught in Luke 18:1 that men ought always to pray, and not to faint, and in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 to pray without ceasing. Continue to love your enemies and pray for those who mistreat you as Jesus commanded in Matthew 5:44, trusting that vengeance belongs to the Lord as Romans 12:19 says, while our calling is to seek truth in love as Ephesians 4:15 teaches. The Lord sees your grief over the disregard for life and truth, and He is faithful to hear, to convict, and to fill those who truly hunger for righteousness.

We hear the weight you are carrying in this prayer, and the grief you feel when truth and honest communication are disregarded. Thank you for bringing these people before the Lord with such humility, not wanting to boast or look down on others, but simply asking Him to work in hearts.

It is discouraging when those who are educated and entrusted with the law do not act justly, and it makes sense that you would feel that disappointment so keenly. Your longing for them to know truth, to turn from what is evil, and to live with compassion and righteousness is a good and loving burden to bring to God. He is the one who can soften hearts and give a real thirst for what is right, in a way we cannot produce ourselves.

One thing that has helped others who carry a steady intercessory burden like this is to keep a simple, faithful rhythm of prayer and then intentionally leave the outcome with Him. You can continue to lift this team and their representatives to the Lord each day, asking for His mercy and guidance over them, and at the same time ask Him to guard your own heart with His peace so the burden does not turn into constant heaviness.

Father, we lift this team and their lawyers to You in Jesus name. Work in their hearts as only You can, draw them toward truth and righteousness, and cover those who are Yours with Your peace and understanding. Let Your will be done, and keep this dear one close to You as they pray. Amen.

It is a right and needful thing to carry such a burden to the mercy seat, and to plead that God would give to others that thirst for truth and righteousness which He has in mercy kindled in your own soul. You have done well to pray not with boasting, nor with contempt for those who have fallen, but with the remembrance that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that even the learned and the able may yet be found to be carnal, sold under sin.

Your prayer touches upon that which the Word calls a broken and a contrite heart. The Psalmist says, My sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. This is that true repentance which is the work of the Spirit of God. It is not a poor and short lived sorrow which turns from sin for a time and then returns to it with greater gusto, but a complete change of mind with regard to sin. True repentance gives glory to the omniscience of God, for the soul confesses that all things are naked and opened unto Him, and it gives glory to the righteousness of His law, saying with a sincere heart, Thy law is holy and just and good, the fault is with me. And such repentance is inseparable from faith, for no repentance is true but that which consorts with faith, and no faith is true but that which is linked with hearty and sincere repentance on account of past sin.

Where there is this godly sorrow there is the promise of full and free remission, for repentance and remission of sins are to be preached in His name. It is a pardon for crimes of deepest dye, a pardon bought with Jesus blood, and there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved. Christ Jesus was set forth to be a propitiation for sin, and He loved the Church and gave Himself for it, that whosoever will trust His Son shall be saved. To pray that He would cover with His precious blood those for whom you intercede, that He would give them peace and understanding and teach them to be righteous and compassionate, is to ask for that which God delights to give, for His goodness is meant to lead sinners to repentance.

Therefore continue in relentless prayer, looking unto Jesus. Ask the Lord to work upon their hearts by His Spirit, that they may hate sin and forsake it, not merely because of its bitter consequences, but because of the love of God who died for sinners. Pray that they may know the truth as it is in Jesus, for it is the truth that sets free indeed, and that they may hunger and thirst after righteousness with an unquenchable thirst which only Christ can satisfy. He can make the stony heart to become flesh, and where He has put sweetness into the heart, breaking and bruising will but develop that sweetness for His glory.

May the Lord hear your supplication, and grant to those for whom you pray that repentance unto life which needs not to be repented of, and that faith which lays hold on Christ alone for salvation. May He stir them to honest communication and to a regard for human life, and may His will be done in them and in you, to the praise of His grace. We join our hearts with yours in asking these mercies in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is the Sun of Righteousness and the hope of sinners. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer is good and right before God, and I thank you for bringing it with such humility and care. To ask for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is to ask for what Christ Himself has promised to fill.

You have prayed as Scripture teaches. The Lord said, If any man thirst, let him come unto Me and drink, and He also said, Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled. This is not a casual wish but a deep longing, like thirsty men who take a bowl and do not rest until they have drunk deeply. God does not draw us by force, but He calls those who are inflamed with desire for what is true and right, and He gives living water to those who come.

You do well to pray for those at that company and for their lawyers and representatives, that they may be saved and turned from lies to truth. We wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual wickedness, and our armor must be truth and righteousness and faith. To put on the breastplate of righteousness is to live a life of universal virtue, with righteous deeds fixed in the heart, so that no dart of the enemy can pierce through. That righteousness is not a mere outward form or legal knowledge, but righteousness and holiness of truth, given to us as sons through Christ.

You also rightly remember that education and position cannot make a man righteous, and that God does not delight in outward sacrifice alone. As you quoted from Psalm 51, the sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart which He will not despise. This is His gift to give, a sober and awakened heart full of repentance and compunction. True repentance is not only tears or words, but a turning away from sin to hate it and to walk no more in it. That is what we must ask for them, that God would work in their hearts to convict them, to give them sorrow according to God, and to lead them to new life.

So let us continue to pray that the Lord Jesus would cover with His blood those who are His, and grant peace and understanding, and that He would have mercy on those still bound in darkness. Let us ask that He would stir their hearts to love truth, to honor human life, to speak honestly, and to do what is right in His eyes. And let us ask the same for ourselves, that we may not grow weary or look down on others, but may ourselves hunger and thirst more and more for righteousness, proving what is well pleasing to the Lord and bearing fruit in all goodness and truth.

May the Lord who promises rivers of living water to those who believe on Him grant this thirst and then satisfy it abundantly, and may His will be done in all things. Amen.

Your longing for an unquenchable thirst for truth and righteousness is a prayer God delights to answer. Jesus said, blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled. That hunger is not natural to us. When we see ourselves as God sees us, we realize our own righteousness is like filthy rags and that in our flesh we cannot please Him. That true sight of ourselves creates the thirst for His righteousness, and He has promised to fill those who ask with that sincere desire.

You are right to pray with a broken and contrite heart as Psalm 51 teaches. God does not delight in outward sacrifice or religious performance, but He will not despise a broken spirit that honestly confesses sin and turns from it. That is the heart you are asking God to work in others, that they would not only recognize sin but come to hate it and turn away from it. It is also the right heart for us as we pray, not boasting and not looking down on others, but humbly remembering that education, position, or knowledge of the law cannot make anyone righteous.

Scripture is clear that there is a zeal without knowledge, where people try to establish their own righteousness by works or by learning, and do not submit to the righteousness of God. The righteousness God gives is not earned. He made Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God. It is imputed to us through faith in Christ alone, not through our attainments. For those who are suppressing the truth in unrighteousness, the need is not more information but reconciliation through the blood of Jesus, which alone can redeem and cleanse.

There is in every person a deep thirst for God, like a deer panting for water. People try to satisfy it with many things, but nothing else satisfies. Jesus invites, if anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. Only a living relationship with Him quenches that thirst. When mercy and truth meet together and righteousness and peace kiss, as the psalmist says, truth springs from the earth and righteousness looks down from heaven. That is what you are asking for, that God would unite divided hearts to fear His name and walk in His truth, with clean hands and a pure heart that can see God.

We also must not blame God for the evil, dishonesty, and disregard for life that grieves you. Death and atrocity and injustice are the fruit of sin in a fallen world that is groaning for redemption. God has made provision for redemption through the blood of Christ shed for us, and we long for the day when He makes all things right.

We join you in praying for those you mentioned, the team and their lawyers and representatives, that God would open their eyes to the truth that sets free, convict them of sin, and draw them to salvation in Jesus Christ alone. We pray for those who already belong to Christ, that the Lord would cover them, give them peace and understanding, and teach them to walk in righteousness and compassion, guarding them from oppression. And we pray that the Lord would continue to stir in you this holy hunger, keeping your heart sound in His word, for His word is pure and His righteousness is everlasting. May He fulfill the desire He has placed in you and lead you in His truth, for now is the day of salvation and His grace is ready to be received by all who call upon Him.
