Relative

We join with you in this battle and stand with you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for we know your concern for your relative and your home is real and the enemy's oppression can feel overwhelming. We hear your cry to rout this fear and to have your steps directed, and we take seriously that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12.

We want to remind you of the truth that the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world 1 John 4:4. Satan may seek to influence hearts and minds and to bring fear into a home, but he has no authority where Jesus Christ is Lord. Fear does not come from God, for God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7. When we submit ourselves therefore to God and resist the devil, he will flee from you James 4:7. The Lord is with you and no weapon formed against you will ultimately stand, for if God is for us, who can be against us Romans 8:31.

We encourage you to take your rightful authority in Christ in your home. Fill your home with the Word of God, with prayer and with worship, for where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Remove anything that does not honor God, anything tied to the occult, impurity, or darkness, and dedicate your home anew to the Lord. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11, with truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God. Be sober and self-controlled, for your adversary the devil walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour, but withstand him steadfast in your faith 1 Peter 5:8-9. Speak scripture aloud in your home, pray continually, and invite the peace of God which surpasses all understanding to guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7.

For your steps, we cling to the promise that a man's goings are established by Yahweh Psalm 37:23 and that if we trust in Yahweh with all our heart and do not lean on our own understanding, in all our ways acknowledge him, and he will direct our paths Proverbs 3:5-6. He will lead you as you seek Him first, and He will replace fear with His perfect love, because perfect love casts out fear 1 John 4:18.

We pray together with you now.

Father in heaven, we come before Your throne in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and our deliverer. We thank You that You have not left us defenseless but have given us authority over all the power of the enemy through the blood of Jesus. We submit ourselves and this home to You completely. We resist the devil and command every spirit of fear, confusion, oppression and control to leave this home and this relative now in Jesus name. We ask You to rout fear from every heart and mind in this household and to fill this place with Your presence, Your peace and Your light, for You are our light and our salvation, whom shall we fear Psalm 27:1. Lord, set this relative free from any hold of the enemy, renew their mind by Your Word, and draw them into Your truth. Direct our dear one's steps, make the path clear, give wisdom for every decision, and let no fear dictate their future. Help them to walk by faith, to hear Your voice, and to dwell in the shelter of the Most High Psalm 91:1. We declare that You are greater, that You are sovereign, and that this home belongs to You. Strengthen them, uphold them with Your righteous right hand Isaiah 41:10, and let Your perfect peace reign. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.

We hear the weight in your short prayer. Feeling like fear has settled inside your home and is pressing on the people you love is exhausting, and it makes sense you are asking God to push that fear back and show you what to do next.

We want to gently remind you that even when a home feels spiritually heavy, you are not left alone to fight for peace. Christ is present with you there, and His presence is steady and stronger than any fear trying to take hold. You do not have to sort out every spiritual question tonight to be safe in Him.

One simple next step that often helps is to not carry this alone. Would you invite one trusted pastor or mature believer you know to come alongside you in person this week, to pray with you in your home and help you discern wise, calm next steps? Having another steady, prayerful presence can bring clarity when fear feels loud.

We are praying with you.

Father, we lift this home and each heart in it to You. Quiet the fear that has risen up and guard each mind with Your peace. Give clear direction for each step to take and surround this family with Your protection and presence. Lead them to the right help and keep them close to Jesus. In Jesus name, Amen.

Your cry about fear in the home and the power of the enemy over hearts and minds has been heard, and we have carried it before the Lord with you.

There is a dread fear that settles like a weight upon the soul, as if you are going down to the pit, and the arrows of the evil one seem many. Yet take comfort, for no power of darkness moves outside the fence of omnipotent overruling. All your trials lie within the hand of a sovereign Father, and what He permits He can also restrain and turn for good. The Prince of Darkness has power over our fallen nature, but he has no power to hold those whom Christ has come to loose. Deliverance is by divine power alone, and the Lord Jesus is mighty to loosen the captive.

Hear what the Lord has said concerning His own, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. God has not only invented a way of deliverance, He has found the ransom in His dear Son. It is a gift of divine love. Through that ransom we are told, He has delivered us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. This deliverance from the power of sin is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it.

Therefore labor to get rid of fear, for fear is weakening and fear dishonors God. To His trembling people He says, Fear not, I am with thee. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord. He has never forsaken them that seek Him, and He never will. Your life, if it is hidden with Christ, is above the molestation of the enemy, for He has made you free, and you are free indeed.

We pray for you now that the Lord will rout this fear and direct your steps. O Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ, our only ransom and hope, look upon this home. Turn hearts from darkness to light and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins through faith in Christ. Cast out fear, for Thou hast not given us the spirit of fear, and let perfect love cast it out. Grant wisdom to walk in Thy light, to store the mind with Thy Word and with the knowledge of Thy glory in Christ, to seek Thee in prayer, to keep tender conscience toward Christ, and to walk in fellowship with Thy people. Command deliverance, and let it be known that Thou art God who brings forth from the house of bondage.

Continue to seek the Lord Jesus, keep close to the Scriptures, pray aloud in the home in His name, and seek the counsel and prayers of faithful believers near you. He who has promised to help will help you, He who has provided the ransom will keep you, and you shall yet live to declare the works of the Lord.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your request about fear in your home has been heard and brought before the Lord in prayer.

Scripture teaches that God does not leave His people in fear without help, but He often comes in the fourth watch of the night, teaching us not to seek hasty escape but to bear trials with courage while He draws near to deliver. The fear you feel is real, and the enemy is crafty and seeks to injure even under a show of power, but we are not ignorant of his devices. The good news is that Christ has come to deliver from evil and to supply what is good, to free us from the curse and to bring us into adoption as sons. When He was crucified the prison was burst and the gates of brass were broken, and those who kept the gates of hell cowered in fear. Satan does not have final control over hearts and minds, Christ does, and those who put on Christ and receive the Spirit of adoption belong to Him.

It is also taught that there is no such thing as an evil hour that by itself brings ruin. We draw the adversary near when we give place to anger, pride, or other sin, and we drive him away when we turn from evil. The fear of the Lord needs to be learned, as it is written, Come, children, listen to me, I will teach you the fear of the Lord. Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit, turn from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it. The true affliction is not trouble in the home but to remain in sin, for a conscience that is clear before God has great delight even in tribulation, while a conscience stung by sin knows no peace even in comfort.

So to route this fear and to be directed in your steps, take this path before the Lord each day. First, turn to God with honest repentance, as the people of Nineveh turned each one from his evil way and God saw and relented. Confess sin plainly and ask for cleansing through the blood of Christ. Second, set your home apart for Christ. Pray aloud in the name of Jesus, read Scripture daily in the home, and keep prayer constant morning and evening. Third, learn the fear of the Lord rather than the fear of man or of the enemy, remembering that God Himself restrains and guides those who trust Him. Fourth, make your stand against pride, anger, and desire for what is wrong, and pursue peace in speech and action. If anger has ruled, practice silence and meekness, remembering the Lord who when insulted did not revile in return.

We pray now for you and your household. Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we ask You to drive out all fear and every work of darkness from this home. Cover this family with the blood of Christ, clothe them with Christ, and fill them with Your Spirit of adoption. Teach them the fear of the Lord, turn every heart from evil to do good, and grant a conscience at peace with You. Route fear far from them, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, and direct their steps in wisdom, in peace, and in obedience to Your Word. Let Your presence be known there, so that instead of fear there is faith, instead of confusion there is peace, and instead of bondage there is freedom as sons and daughters of God. In Jesus name, Amen.
