Servant of All
Please pray for me as I really yearn deeply to make other people smile and happy and to leave them feeling happy and joyful and good after every interaction with me but I worry so much about being misunderstood or having my actions misinterpreted or accidentally making someone feel bad. And then what is worse is that I have had demonic harassment following me since I was a child (which I don't know how it came into my life) causing problems with my relationships and interactions with other people and influencing them negatively toward me and sometimes toward these things that I'm fearful of that I just noted. Although God is delivering me from this harassment, it is still happening in lesser ways and I feel so much shame and sadness about it and its impact on my life. I just want to make people happy, I never want to hurt anyone. 💔

We lift you up before the Lord with deep compassion, for your heart’s desire to bring joy to others is a beautiful reflection of Christ’s love. Yet we see how the enemy has sought to twist this godly longing into fear, shame, and spiritual oppression—something no child of God should have to endure. Let us first address the spiritual battle you face, for Scripture makes it clear: *"Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour"* (1 Peter 5:8, WEB). The harassment you’ve endured since childhood is not your fault, nor is it a reflection of your worth in Christ. Satan’s goal is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but Jesus came to give you life abundantly—and that includes freedom from demonic influence.

You mentioned God is delivering you, and we *praise Him* for that! But let us remind you: deliverance is not always instantaneous; it is often a process of standing firm in faith, resisting the devil (James 4:7), and filling your mind with Scripture. *"Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7, WEB). Have you renounced any openings in your life or generational sin that may have given the enemy a foothold? If not, we urge you to do so in prayer, breaking every ungodly tie in the name of Jesus. *"No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of Yahweh’s servants, and their righteousness is from me,"* says the Lord (Isaiah 54:17, WEB).

Now, to your tender heart that longs to make others happy: this is a *gift* from God, but it must be stewarded with wisdom. Your fear of being misunderstood or accidentally hurting someone reveals a deep need for the Lord’s peace—not the world’s approval. *"Let your gentle spirit be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:5-7, WEB). You cannot control how others interpret your actions, but you *can* trust God to guard your heart and use your kindness for His glory. If you’ve repented of any wrongdoing, you are forgiven—so release the shame. *"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (1 John 1:9, WEB).

Lastly, we must ask: where is your focus—on people’s responses or on Christ? *"Am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ"* (Galatians 1:10, WEB). Your identity is not in how others perceive you but in being a beloved child of God. When you fix your eyes on Jesus, the fear of man loses its power.

**Let us pray:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of Your precious child, who longs to reflect Your love but has been burdened by the enemy’s lies and harassment. Lord, we *rebuke* every demonic stronghold in their life—every spirit of fear, shame, confusion, and rejection—and command them to flee in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Fill every void with Your Holy Spirit, sealing this beloved one in Your protection. Father, heal the wounds from childhood and break the power of every generational curse. Let Your truth wash over them: they are *forgiven*, *loved*, and *empowered* by You.

Lord, we ask for divine wisdom in their interactions with others. Help them to release the need for human approval and to find their security in You alone. When fear creeps in, remind them that *"perfect love casts out fear"* (1 John 4:18) and that You are working all things for their good (Romans 8:28). Give them boldness to walk in kindness without anxiety, trusting You to guard their heart and use their words for Your glory.

We declare freedom, joy, and supernatural peace over their life. Let them rise up as a light in darkness, unshaken by the enemy’s schemes, for *"greater is He who is in [them] than he who is in the world"* (1 John 4:4). In Jesus’ powerful name, we pray—*Amen.*

**Encouragement for you:**
Sister or brother, your desire to bring joy is *godly*—but it must flow from a heart at rest in Christ, not from striving or fear. Spend time in His presence daily, meditating on His love for you (Zep 3:17). When demonic harassment arises, *speak Scripture aloud* (e.g., Psalm 91, Ephesians 6:10-18) and stand firm. And remember: even if others misunderstand you, God *sees* your heart (1 Samuel 16:7). Keep pressing into Him, and He will perfect all that concerns you (Psalm 138:8). You are *not* defined by your past or the enemy’s attacks—you are defined by Christ’s victory on the cross. Walk in that truth today!

We're here with you, dear friend, feeling the weight of your heart's desire to bring joy and happiness to others. It's beautiful to see that love for people reflected in you, a true echo of Christ's own heart. We know it's tough, though, when fear and shame try to dampen that light. Let's lift our voices together and pray.

First, we need to address the spiritual battle you've been facing. The enemy has been trying to steal your joy and peace, but remember, greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). You've mentioned God is delivering you, and we praise Him for that! But let's keep standing firm in faith, resisting the devil, and filling our minds with Scripture (James 4:7).

Now, about your tender heart that longs to make others happy – that's a gift from God! But it's important to steward it with wisdom. You can't control how others interpret your actions, but you can trust God to guard your heart and use your kindness for His glory (Philippians 4:5-7). If you've repented of any wrongdoing, you're forgiven, so release the shame. Let God's peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and your thoughts in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Lastly, let's ask: where's your focus? On people's responses or on Christ? Your identity is not in how others perceive you but in being a beloved child of God. When you fix your eyes on Jesus, the fear of man loses its power (Galatians 1:10).

Let's pray:
