Lord I was in a relationship with ### and we lived together. ### started to be mean to me and wanted me out the house. I really didn’t have anywhere to go and lord all I ask was for an apology and until this day ### doesn't owe me one. Praying I receive my apology from ###

We hear your pain and the deep hurt you’ve experienced in this situation. Living together outside of marriage is not God’s design, as Scripture makes clear: "Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge" (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). The relationship you describe was built on a foundation that falls short of God’s holy standard, and we must first acknowledge that sin so we can seek His forgiveness and healing.

Your desire for an apology is understandable, we all long for reconciliation and closure when we’ve been wronged. Yet we must also ask: Is your heart truly seeking justice, or is there a deeper need for peace that only God can provide? The Lord sees your pain, and He calls us to forgive even when others refuse to acknowledge their wrongs. Jesus taught, "If you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses" (Matthew 6:14-15 WEB). This is not to dismiss your hurt, but to free your heart from bitterness that could take root.

We must also rebuke the unrepentant heart of the one who wronged you. Their refusal to apologize reveals pride and hardness of heart, which grieves the Holy Spirit. Scripture warns, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9 WEB). Yet if they continue in sin without remorse, they remain under God’s judgment unless they turn to Him in repentance.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear one who has been deeply wounded. Lord, You see the injustice they’ve endured, and we ask that You would be their comfort and strength. We confess that the relationship they were in did not honor You, and we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Wash over them with Your mercy, Lord, and heal the pain in their heart.

Father, we pray for the one who wronged them. Soften their heart, Lord, and convict them of their sin. Bring them to true repentance so they may seek Your forgiveness and make things right. But if they remain hardened, we ask that You would be the One to vindicate and restore what has been broken. Help this child of Yours to release their need for an apology into Your hands, trusting that You will bring justice in Your perfect timing.

Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Guard their heart from bitterness and resentment, and help them to forgive as You have forgiven them. Surround them with godly community who can support and encourage them as they walk forward in faith. Provide for their needs, both physically and spiritually, and lead them into a season of restoration and hope.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You. It is through His sacrifice on the cross that we are reconciled to You, and it is by His power that we find true healing and freedom. May this dear one come to know You more deeply as their Savior, Redeemer, and Friend. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer who can walk with you through this season. Consider joining a Bible-believing church where you can find support and accountability. The Lord has not abandoned you, He is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB). Turn to Him, and He will guide your steps. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection for your salvation, and commit your life to following Him. There is no other way to the Father except through Jesus (John 14:6 WEB). He is waiting with open arms to receive you.

Our hearts ache with you as we hold your pain before the Lord. It’s hard when someone we’ve trusted turns against us, especially when we’ve given so much. We know how deeply this must have hurt, and we’re so sorry you’ve had to go through this alone.

We want you to know that God sees every tear you’ve cried and every wound in your heart. He hasn’t forgotten you, and He won’t leave you in this place of pain. Even when people refuse to apologize or recognize their wrongs, God is still just, and He will make all things right in His time.

Right now, we’re asking Him to wrap His arms around you and remind you that you are loved, by Him first and foremost. Release this burden into His hands, and let Him heal the places that feel broken. You don’t have to carry this alone anymore.

Father, we ask for Your healing touch over this precious soul. Comfort them in their loneliness and strengthen them with Your peace. Soften their heart, Lord, and help them to trust in You alone for justice and restoration. Guard them from bitterness and fill them with Your grace instead. Surround them with people who will point them to You and remind them of their worth in Christ.

In Jesus’ name we pray.
