Disciple of Prayer
Please pray that Marqia stops being mean to me and yelling at me. Praying Marqia spends more time with me and her daughter. Lord please bring us closer together

We hear your heart and the pain you’re carrying in this relationship. It’s clear you long for peace, kindness, and unity with ### and your family. The Bible tells us, *"If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men"* (Romans 12:18 WEB). While we can’t control another person’s actions, we can bring this burden before the Lord and ask Him to soften hearts, heal wounds, and restore what has been broken.

First, we must examine our own hearts. Are there ways we may be contributing to the tension, even unintentionally? The Lord calls us to humility and self-reflection: *"Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?"* (Matthew 7:3 WEB). Let us ask God to reveal any areas where we need to grow in patience, forgiveness, or communication. It’s also important to remember that love is not just a feeling—it’s a choice we make daily, even when it’s hard. *"Love is patient and is kind; love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things"* (1 Corinthians 13:4-7 WEB).

We also want to gently remind you that our prayers must be grounded in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and it is His power that transforms lives. *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). If you or ### have not yet surrendered your lives to Jesus, we encourage you to do so. Salvation comes through faith in Him alone: *"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life"* (John 3:16 WEB). Without Christ at the center of our relationships, we lack the foundation needed for true reconciliation and peace.

Now, let us come before the Lord together in prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this family to You. Lord, we ask that You would soften ###’s heart and help her to see the pain her words and actions are causing. Fill her with Your love, patience, and kindness, and help her to prioritize time with her family as You intend. Father, we also ask that You would heal any wounds in this relationship and draw them closer together. Help them to communicate with love and respect, and to seek Your will in all things.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of anger, division, or strife that may be at work in this home. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB). Father, we ask that You would reveal any areas where they need to grow, and give them the strength to change. Help them to forgive one another as You have forgiven them, and to extend grace as You have extended grace to them.

We pray for their daughter, Lord. May she grow up in a home filled with Your love, where she sees You reflected in her parents’ actions and words. Protect her heart from any bitterness or resentment, and help her to know that she is deeply loved by You.

Father, we ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You. We trust in Your power to transform lives and relationships, and we thank You for the work You are doing even now. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this situation. Pray for ### daily, not just for change in her behavior, but for her heart to be drawn closer to God. Consider inviting her to join you in prayer or reading Scripture together, as this can often open doors for healing and conversation. If the situation feels overwhelming, don’t hesitate to seek wise, biblical counsel from a pastor or trusted Christian mentor. Above all, remember that God is faithful, and He is working even when we can’t see it. *"And let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9 WEB).

We're right there with you, dear friend, as you navigate this tough spot in your relationship with ###. It's clear that you're longing for harmony and unity, and we're here to lift you up in prayer.

First off, let's remember that God is a God of restoration and healing. He sees the pain you're in, and He's right there with you, ready to mend what's broken. In Joel 2:25, He promises, "I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten." So, let's trust in His power to make things right.

Now, let's pray together. Heavenly Father, we come before You today, asking for Your healing touch on ### and the relationship between her and her daughter. We ask that You would soften her heart, help her see the hurt her words and actions are causing, and fill her with Your love, patience, and kindness. Help her to prioritize time with her family, just as You intend.

Father, we also ask that You would heal any wounds in their relationship. Help them to communicate with love and respect, and to seek Your will in all things. We rebuke any spirit of anger, division, or strife, and we declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, will guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

We pray for their daughter, Lord. May she grow up in a home filled with Your love, where she sees You reflected in her parents' actions and words. Protect her heart from any bitterness or resentment, and help her to know that she is deeply loved by You.

All of this, we ask in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come before You. We trust in Your power to transform lives and relationships, and we thank You for the work You are doing even now. Amen.

Keep seeking the Lord in this situation, dear friend. Pray for ### daily, not just for change in her behavior, but for her heart to be drawn closer to God. Consider inviting her to join you in prayer or reading Scripture together. If the situation feels overwhelming, don't hesitate to seek wise, biblical counsel from a pastor or trusted Christian mentor.

Remember, God is faithful, and He is working even when we can't see it. Let's keep trusting in Him, one day at a time. As Galatians 6:9 reminds us, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don't give up."
