Lord I pray ### talk to me praying me and ### talk again. Praying for forgiveness praying ### can forgive me for the mean things I said to her. Lord please forgive me

We hear your heart’s cry for reconciliation and forgiveness, and we join you in lifting this matter before the Lord. First, let us acknowledge that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23), and it is only through the blood of Jesus Christ that we can find forgiveness and restoration. If you have not yet placed your faith in Him as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Salvation comes by confessing with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in your heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9). If you have already done this, then we rejoice with you in the grace that covers your sins.

Your prayer for forgiveness is already heard by our Heavenly Father, for if we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). The mean words you spoke may have wounded another, but the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We pray that you would not only seek forgiveness from God but also from the one you hurt. Jesus taught that if you are offering your gift at the altar and remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift (Matthew 5:23-24). Humility and repentance are the first steps toward healing.

We also want to gently address the nature of your relationship with this person. If this is a friendship, we encourage you to build it on the foundation of Christ, where love is patient, kind, not easily angered, and keeps no record of wrongs (1 Corinthians 13:4-5). If this is a courtship or a relationship leading toward marriage, we must remind you that God’s design for marriage is between one man and one woman, and it is a covenant that reflects Christ’s love for the Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). If there has been any sexual immorality or impurity in this relationship, we urge you to repent and seek God’s cleansing, for the body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body (1 Corinthians 6:13). Flee from sexual immorality, for every other sin a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body (1 Corinthians 6:18).

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with humble hearts, lifting up this situation to You. Lord, we thank You for Your mercy and grace that covers our sins when we confess them to You. We ask that You would forgive our brother/sister for the hurtful words spoken and cleanse their heart of any bitterness or pride. Father, we pray that You would soften the heart of the one who was wounded, that they may extend the same forgiveness You have shown us. Lord, we ask that You would restore this relationship according to Your will, whether it be a godly friendship or a courtship leading to marriage. Guard their hearts against temptation and fill them with Your love, joy, and peace.

We also pray for wisdom and discernment for our brother/sister. Help them to see this relationship through Your eyes and to honor You in all their interactions. If there has been any sin in this relationship, we ask that You would reveal it and lead them to repentance. Father, we trust in Your promise that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. May Your Holy Spirit guide them in all truth and lead them into a deeper relationship with You.

Lord, we declare that no weapon formed against this relationship shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against it in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). We bind any spirit of division, strife, or unforgiveness and release Your peace and unity over this situation. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to take practical steps toward reconciliation. Reach out to this person with a sincere heart, acknowledging your wrongdoing and asking for their forgiveness. Be patient, as they may need time to process their emotions. Above all, continue to seek the Lord in prayer and in His Word, for He is faithful to complete the good work He has begun in you (Philippians 1:6). If this relationship is meant to be restored, God will make a way. If not, trust that He has something better in store for you. Walk in obedience, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

We appreciate you bringing this honestly before the Lord. Wanting to make right what you said and asking for forgiveness takes humility, and we are glad you are turning to Him with it.

It makes sense you are hoping she will talk with you again. When we have hurt someone with our words, the ache can be both sorrow toward God and concern for the friendship. Part of caring well now is owning your part clearly without putting pressure on her to respond in a certain way or on a certain timeline. Forgiveness and restoring a friendship are not always the same thing, and the second, if it happens, needs willingness from both people.

If you do reach out, a brief, sincere message often helps most. Name specifically what you said that was mean, without excuses or asking for anything in return, and acknowledge the hurt it likely caused. You can let her know you value her and would welcome a chance to talk if she is open to it, and that you will respect whatever space she needs. Giving her room to decide honors her dignity.

We also encourage you to keep walking with the Lord in this, staying in prayer and in fellowship with trusted believers who can support you.

Father, we thank You for Your mercy toward us when we confess. Please bring comfort and healing to both friends here, give wisdom for next words and steps, and help our friend rest in Your forgiveness and grace as he seeks to act humbly and lovingly. In Jesus' name, amen.

There is forgiveness with God, that He may be feared, and your prayer shows a penitent heart that desires it. You tremble under the sense of the mean things you have said, and you ask both for the Lord to forgive you and for the one you have wounded to forgive you. This is a hopeful sign, for the Lord delights to meet the soul that confesses its fault without excuse.

Hear what the Scripture says, I, even I, am He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake. It is a divine forgiveness, not the pardon of man but of God Himself. It is a surprising forgiveness, so free and so full that it is repeated as if to remove all doubt. And it is a complete forgiveness. When a creditor forgives a debt, he does not ask for part payment, he cancels it altogether. So when you come to God and say I have nothing to pay with, He for Christ's sake blots out the whole record.

You ask, where can such forgiveness be found. It is to be found only with God, through Jesus Christ His Son. Gethsemane, Gabbatha, Golgotha, three sacred words, three irresistible arguments that there must be pardon even for the chief of sinners. There is forgiveness now, at this moment, for the blood of Jesus Christ still pleads. The promise is broad and without limit. Where God draws no limit, do not draw any. There is forgiveness, and it is to be had by looking to the bleeding Savior and trusting Him alone. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and apart from Him there is no peace with God.

If you have not already done so, turn to Him in plain confession. Own before Him the words you spoke, without shifting blame, and believe that for Christ's sake He forgives freely and eternally. He not only forgave at the first, but He continues to forgive, and His forgiveness is perfect and abiding.

Then, as you have received such mercy, go in the same spirit to the one you have grieved. The pattern set before us is, even as Christ forgave you, so also do you, and so also you must seek forgiveness from others in humility. Do not demand that conversation be restored on your terms, but humbly own what you said, ask forgiveness, and leave the outcome in the Lord's hands. Some who have been forgiven much find it natural to open their hands to others, and to say from the heart, for Christ's sake forgive me. Whether friendship is restored or not, walk in gentleness and truth, and let any renewed fellowship be such as honors the Lord in purity and honesty.

Let us pray together.

O Lord, have mercy upon this penitent soul. For Christ's sake blot out transgressions and remember sins no more. Give a true faith in Jesus who died the Just for the unjust to bring us to God, and grant the assurance that there is forgiveness with Thee. Work also in the heart of the one who has been hurt, and if it be Thy will, bring reconciliation that is honest, kind, and pleasing to Thee. Teach both to speak words seasoned with grace and to walk in Thy fear. Grant peace that comes from being fully forgiven, and a life that shows forth that forgiveness to others. In the name of Jesus our only hope, Amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this honest prayer and for humbling yourself to confess the hurtful words you spoke. To desire forgiveness from God and from the one you have hurt is right and good, and God hears the prayer of a repentant heart.

Scripture teaches that forgiveness with God does not come as a debt for our works, but as grace. Blessed are those whose iniquities are forgiven and whose sins are covered, and this blessing comes through faith in Jesus Christ alone. He is abundantly rich in mercy and gave His own Son for us while we were still far from Him, so that we who were enemies might be made His friends. Jesus said, you are my friends if you do what I command you. So come to God first with true repentance, confessing your sin plainly without excuse, trusting not in your own goodness but in what Christ has done for you on the cross. If you have done all, you still call yourself unprofitable and look to His mercy, how much more when you know you have spoken harshly. He is faithful to forgive when we turn to Him in that way.

As you seek forgiveness from the other person, do so in the same humble spirit. Own what you said without shifting blame, ask for forgiveness without demanding that she must talk to you again or restore things on your timetable, and show by your actions that you have changed. Give her space to respond as she chooses, and respect her decision.

I also want to encourage you to pray about what kind of friendship or relationship you are asking God to restore. True friendship is not made by simply eating and drinking together, or by long acquaintance, common interests, or convenience. Such friendships even those who do wrong can have. A profitable friendship is one that helps both people toward virtue and hinders what leads away from God. The friendships that endure are those formed upon godliness, not only upon feeling. And love itself must abound with knowledge and discernment, not without reason, so that you may approve what is excellent and be sincere and without offense before God and before others.

So pray not only, let us talk again, but let any restored communication be one that honors God. If this is a friendship, pray that it would be a brother or sister aided as a fortified city, strengthening one another to do what is right. If there is a romantic interest, pray that it would be shaped by God's design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, with purity and self control, and not by living together or intimacy outside of that covenant. Do not ask God to bless what would pull either of you away from holiness, but ask Him to make both of you more like Christ, whether that means restored friendship, a future godly marriage, or a respectful distance for a season.

I will pray with you now.

Father, I thank you for this heart that confesses sin and desires to make it right. Forgive through the blood of Jesus Christ alone, and wash away this sin by your grace. Grant repentance that bears fruit, and teach what it means to be your friend by doing what you command. Give wisdom and discernment to love what is excellent, and to seek friendships that are rooted in virtue and godliness. For this other person, grant healing where words have wounded, and give her grace to forgive as you have forgiven. If it is good and profitable for these two to speak again, open that door in your timing and make their conversation helpful and pure. If not, give peace and help each to walk faithfully with you. Keep both from harm and lead both away from what leads to destruction. In the name of Jesus, amen.

Continue to walk in daily repentance, in the Word, in prayer, and in fellowship with faithful believers in the church who can know you, counsel you, and help you grow in godly love.
