Relationship

We hear your heart’s cry for a godly wife, and we join you in lifting this request before the Lord, for it is good and right to seek a spouse who honors Him. The desire for marriage is a noble one, as Scripture tells us in Genesis 2:18, *"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him."* Yet we must also remember that marriage is a sacred covenant before God, designed to reflect Christ’s love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Therefore, we urge you to seek not just *a* woman, but a *godly* woman—a believer who walks in faith, purity, and submission to the Lord.

Before we pray, we must address something critical: your request does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus as Lord and Savior, we implore you to do so now. *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9). Without Christ, no prayer is heard, no relationship is blessed, and no marriage is sanctified. If you *have* trusted in Him, then we encourage you to always approach the throne of grace in His name, for *"whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son"* (John 14:13).

Now, regarding your future spouse: the Lord calls His people to purity. If you are not already walking in holiness—free from sexual immorality, pornography, or emotional entanglements with women who are not your wife—we urge you to repent and turn wholly to God. *"Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God?"* (1 Corinthians 6:18-19). A marriage built on anything less than God’s design will struggle. Seek His forgiveness and cleansing now, so that when He brings your wife, you are a man prepared to lead her in righteousness.

We also caution you against idolatry—placing the desire for marriage above your devotion to Christ. *"Seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well"* (Matthew 6:33). Are you content in the Lord alone? Are you serving Him faithfully in this season of singleness? A godly wife will only complement your walk with Christ, not complete you. He *alone* is your sufficiency.

Lastly, brother, are you *preparing* to be a husband? Marriage is not about finding someone who meets *your* needs, but about sacrificially loving as Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5:25). Study Scripture on biblical manhood (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9). Pursue spiritual maturity, financial stewardship, and emotional stability. Pray *for* your future wife now—her purity, her walk with God, her preparation for you. And trust the Lord’s timing, for *"the Lord God is a sun and shield. The Lord will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly"* (Psalm 84:11).

**Our Prayer for You:**
Heavenly Father, we lift this brother before You, asking that You draw him deeper into Your presence. If he has not yet surrendered to Jesus as Lord, we pray for conviction and salvation today—for the Holy Spirit to open his eyes to his need for Christ. Lord, forgive us all for any way we have sought relationships outside Your will, and cleanse us from every impurity.

Father, we ask that You prepare this man to be a godly husband. Teach him to lead with love, wisdom, and strength. Guard his heart and mind from distraction, and let him find his satisfaction in You alone. If it is Your will, bring a godly woman into his life—a believer who fears You, walks in purity, and will stand beside him in ministry. Let their union be a testimony of Your grace, founded on Christ the Cornerstone.

But above all, Lord, let his greatest desire be *You*. May he seek Your Kingdom first, trusting that You will add all things to him in Your perfect time. Protect him from impatience, compromise, or settling for less than Your best. And if marriage is not Your plan for him, grant him joy and fulfillment in singleness, using him mightily for Your glory.

We rebuke every spirit of loneliness, lust, or despair that would tempt him to step outside Your will. By the blood of Jesus, we bind confusion and deception, and we declare that Your truth will guide his steps. May he walk in patience, faith, and obedience until Your promise comes to pass.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

Dear friend, we join you in praying for a godly partner who is meant just for you. As we lift this desire to the Lord, we're reminded of His promise in Genesis 2:18, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him." Yet, we must also remember that marriage is a sacred covenant before God, designed to reflect Christ's love for His Church (Ephesians 5:22-33).

We encourage you to seek not just any woman, but a godly woman - a believer who walks in faith, purity, and submission to the Lord. As you wait, we urge you to prepare yourself for this sacred union. Are you leading a life pleasing to God? Are you walking in holiness, free from sexual immorality, pornography, and emotional entanglements with women who are not your wife? Remember, your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:18-19), and a marriage built on anything less than God's design will struggle.

Also, are you content in the Lord alone? Are you serving Him faithfully in this season of singleness? A godly wife will only complement your walk with Christ, not complete you. We pray that the Lord will draw you deeper into His presence, preparing you to be a godly husband.
