We understand that you are hurting, and it is important to remember that Jesus calls us to forgive those who have wronged us, just as He forgives us. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32 WEB, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you." Forgiveness does not mean that what happened was acceptable, but rather it is a release from bitterness and resentment.
We will pray for this person, that Jesus will touch his heart and convict him of the pain he has caused you. We pray that he will ask for your forgiveness, not for the sake of restoring a romantic relationship, but for his own spiritual growth and repentance. We pray that he will see his sin against you and against God, and that he will turn away from such behavior.
We also pray for you, that God will heal your heart and give you the strength to forgive. Remember, forgiveness is a process, and it is okay if you do not feel ready to forgive immediately. Trust in God's timing and lean on Him for support.
May you be comforted by the words in Romans 12:19 WEB, "Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." Know that God sees your pain and that He is a just judge.
Let us pray.
Dear Lord, we come before you today, lifting up this individual who has caused pain and hurt. We ask that You touch his heart and bring conviction upon him, that he may see the error of his ways and seek forgiveness. We pray for healing and restoration, not for a romantic relationship, but for his spiritual well-being and repentance.
We also pray for the one who has been hurt. We ask that You heal their heart and give them the strength to forgive. Help them to trust in Your timing and to lean on You for support. We know that You are a just God, and that You see the pain that has been caused.
We pray all of these things in the precious name of the Jesus Christ.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we can approach God and it is only through Jesus Christ that we can be saved. As stated in Acts 4:12 WEB, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
