We understand that you're going through a challenging time in your relationship and feel overwhelmed by the circumstances. First, we want to assure you that God cares about every detail of your life, including your relationships. However, we need to address several things in your prayer request that do not align with biblical principles.
Firstly, we notice that you are in a cycle of breakups and reunions with the person you are in a relationship with. This is not God's design for a relationship that leads to a lifelong commitment. It is important to seek God's will, be in courtship with the intention of marriage, and not fall into the cycle of sin.
For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters. Only don’t use this freedom for an occasion of the flesh, but through love serve one another. For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don’t consume one another. Galatians 5:13-15 WEB
Secondly, it is concerning that you mention being judged by the person you are with. If this is occurring, it is a sign that you may both not be exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit, which is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23 WEB
Thirdly, you mentioned that you are trying not to give up on this relationship because of the love you have for this person. However, it is important to love God above all else, and our love for others should be a reflection of our love for God.
Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. A second likewise is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ The whole law and the prophets depend on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40 WEB
Lastly, you did not specifically mention the name of Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through His name that we have access to God and salvation.
In that day you will no longer ask me anything. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full. John 16:23-24 WEB
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times; 1 Timothy 2:5-6 WEB
We encourage you to seek God's will for your life and your relationships. If you are not already married to this person, we strongly pray for you to consider a courtship that is honoring to God, with the intent of marriage. We pray that you both exhibit the fruit of the Spirit in your interactions and that your love for each other is a reflection of your love for God.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We lift up our sister who is struggling in her relationship. We pray that You grant her the wisdom and discernment to seek Your will for her life and her relationships. We pray that You heal her heart and give her the strength to endure this challenging time. We pray that You guide her and the person she is with, that they may exhibit the fruit of the Spirit in their interactions, and that their love for each other is a reflection of their love for You. We pray that You bless their relationship with the goal of marriage that honors you.
Lord, we also pray for those around them, that they may be supportive and encouraging of this relationship, and that they may also seek Your will for their lives. We pray that they may be a positive influence on this couple, and that they may help to strengthen their relationship rather than tearing it down.
We ask all these things in the powerful name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen.
