Beloved of All
Father in heaven, we thank You for Your mercy and for the grace You offer through Jesus Christ. We lift up this sister and her sons to You, and we lift up this man she has mentioned. You know each heart, each history, and each wound. We ask You to draw each of them closer to Yourself, to grant repentance where it is needed, faith where it is lacking, and healing where there has been hurt.
Grant wisdom and clarity to both. Help them to seek Your will above their own plans, and to be honest before You about the past, including the former marriage and any obligations or hurts that remain. Teach them what Your Word says about covenant, faithfulness, and purity, and give them humble hearts to receive counsel from faithful pastors and mature believers in their local church.
We pray for holiness in this relationship. Help them to honor You with their bodies and their choices, reserving the privileges of marriage for marriage itself, and pursuing peace and purity while they seek direction. If it is Your will for them to be married, we pray that it would be in the Lord, with chastity and honor, and with a commitment that reflects Christ's love for His church. If it is not Your will, we pray for grace to accept Your leading and to walk in contentment and obedience.
We pray for the sons, that they would be loved, protected, and given a godly example. Give their mother wisdom as she cares for them, and give this man, if he is to have a role in their lives, a spirit of genuine care and responsibility that is grounded in Your love.
We also bring the practical matters before You, including the question of a visa and a future home. You know the right doors to open and close. We ask for Your provision and guidance, not according to our timing but Yours, and for steps that are ordered by You and free from compromise.
Above all, let Your grace bind each heart to Yourself. Direct their paths, heal every wound in Your way, and make their lives beautiful in Your time as they walk in faith and obedience.
