Relationship restoration

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Pastor, Please pray for me. My heart is deeply broken, and I truly miss someone I love. Even though I am hurting, I don't want to force him or trouble him. I know he has been through many struggles, and I pray that God will bless him, protect him, heal his heart, and guide him every day. Please pray that God gives me strength, peace, patience, and wisdom while I wait on Him. If it is God's will, may He remove every misunderstanding, heal every wound, and open the right door for reconciliation and communication in His perfect time. Above all, please pray that I continue to trust God's plan, even when I don't understand it, and that He helps me grow in faith and hope every day. Thank you for remembering us in your prayers. God bless you. 🙏❤️

We hear the deep longing in your heart and the sincere desire to trust God’s timing and will. Your request reflects a spirit of humility and love, even in pain, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting this situation before the Lord.

First, we must acknowledge that your reliance on God’s sovereignty is commendable. The Scriptures remind us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6). It is clear you are seeking to honor God in this season of waiting, and that is pleasing to Him. We also see your concern for the well-being of the one you love, and this selflessness is a reflection of Christ’s love. "Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others" (Philippians 2:4).

However, we must gently address a few things to ensure this situation aligns with God’s Word. If this relationship involves courtship with the goal of marriage, we must emphasize that it should only be pursued with a fellow believer. The Bible is clear: "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" (2 Corinthians 6:14). If the person you are praying for is not a follower of Christ, we must encourage you to seek God’s will for your life, trusting that He has someone who shares your faith and commitment to Him.

Additionally, if there has been any sexual intimacy outside of marriage, we must call this what it is, sin. Fornication is a serious matter, and the Bible warns us, "Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body" (1 Corinthians 6:18). If this has occurred, we urge you to repent and seek God’s forgiveness, trusting in His mercy and grace. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9).

Now, let us pray together for you and this situation:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who is hurting and longing for restoration. Lord, we ask that You would surround her with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give her the strength to wait on You, even when the path is unclear, and fill her with patience and wisdom as she seeks Your will.

Father, we pray for the one she loves. If he is struggling, we ask that You would heal his heart, protect him from harm, and guide him daily in Your truth. If it is Your will for them to be reconciled, we ask that You remove every misunderstanding, heal every wound, and open the door for communication and restoration in Your perfect timing. But Lord, if this is not Your plan, we pray that You would give her the grace to accept Your will and trust in Your goodness.

We also pray that You would reveal any areas in her life that need repentance and restoration. If there has been sin in this relationship, we ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing. Help her to walk in purity and holiness, honoring You in all things.

Above all, Lord, we pray that she would continue to grow in faith and hope, trusting in Your promises. Remind her that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). May she find her identity and worth in You alone, knowing that You have a plan and a purpose for her life.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can come to You and the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers and for Your faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

In this season of waiting, we encourage you to draw near to God through prayer, reading His Word, and fellowship with other believers. The book of Psalms is a wonderful place to find comfort in times of sorrow. Psalm 34:18-19 says, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." You are not alone in your pain, and God sees every tear you cry.

We also encourage you to seek godly counsel from mature believers who can walk alongside you and provide wisdom. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Surround yourself with people who will point you to Christ and encourage you in your faith.

Lastly, remember that God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t align with our own. Habakkuk 2:3 says, "For the vision is yet for the appointed time, and it hurries toward the end, and won’t prove false. Though it takes time, wait for it; because it will surely come. It won’t delay." Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

We are walking alongside you in this season, and we recognize the weight of a broken heart that still cares for someone else. It takes both courage and humility to hold your own pain and yet pray for his good without demanding anything in return. That posture already shows a faith that is clinging to God, even if it feels fragile.

Waiting on God can seem passive, but we have seen it become the very ground where steadfast hope grows. The patience you are asking for is not the absence of longing; it is the daily choice to entrust the outcome, and the timing, to a Father who sees what we cannot. His silence does not mean His absence. Often He uses this stretching place to strengthen our roots in Him before we even know what is next.

Because pain can tempt us to withdraw, we gently encourage you not to carry this alone. Find a trusted Christian friend or a small group where you can speak openly about the struggle. Let others pray with you and for you. Isolation can magnify the ache, but the presence of safe, faithful people can help bear it.

Father, we lift up this dear sister whose heart is tender with missing someone she loves. Grant her the strength to face each day and the peace that rests in Your character, not in changing circumstances. Give her patience that does not just grit its teeth but learns to wait with hope. We ask for wisdom in every step and for clarity to recognize the doors You open or keep closed. Look upon the man she prays for, heal his wounds, meet him in his struggles, and draw him to Yourself in whatever way You know is best. Above all, grow in her a deeper trust in Your good plan, even when it remains hidden. Sustain her with daily mercies and fill the lonely spaces with Your nearness. In Jesus' name, amen.

I prayed for this in Jesus name. amen.

The pain you feel is known to the Man of Sorrows, for He was acquainted with grief and His own heart was broken. Bring your poor broken heart to the heart that was once pierced by the soldier’s spear and find sweetest rest in Jesus. He is the Healer of every wound, and there is no agony He cannot soothe. Yet, this sorrow is not sent without purpose; it is often by such breaking that the stony heart is prepared for a new writing of grace. Give God your heart now, not a divided piece, but the whole of it, for a heart halved is a dead heart. Trust in the living God with all your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. Whatever your trouble, take it to Him this very hour; do not bear it till the night.

You are wise not to force or trouble this one you love, for true affection waits in quiet confidence. My soul, wait thou only upon God, for your expectation is from Him. He is a waiting God, tender and ready to bless, yet His timing is not ours. Sometimes He delays that He may deepen our reliance and cleanse our desires. Let your waiting be expectant, but submitted: if He slay you, yet trust in Him. Storms are the triumphs of His care, He may close His eyes, but not His heart.

If this relationship is honorable before heaven, He can clear every misunderstanding and open the right door in His season. But if it runs counter to His holy commands, He will give you grace to forsake it, for He never grants a blessing that would wound you. Above all, seek a pure heart, for the pure in heart shall see God and know His will. Let your chief prayer be that Christ write His law of love upon your heart, that you might say, “O God, You are my God, early will I seek You.” Then, whether in restoration or in lonely stillness, your peace shall flow like a river, and your hope shall be anchored in the Rock of Ages.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The sorrow you carry is not hidden from God, nor does He despise a broken heart. Indeed, a broken and contrite spirit is a sacrifice He will not refuse. Let your grief, then, become a doorway and not a dungeon. You miss one whom you love, and the ache is real; even the Apostle Paul, that soul of adamant who laughed at death and fire, was crushed by the tears of those he held dear. Love is a mighty force, but let it be a servant and not a tyrant. Pour out your desire before the Lord, but hold it with open hands. The High Priest who reconciled heaven and earth, who broke down the dividing wall, is able to heal every wound and remove every misunderstanding, if it is His will. And what is His will is always for your ultimate good, even when the taste is bitter now.

But beware of demanding to know what only God knows. The heart is deep beyond all things; He alone searches the reins and understands its secret motives. Perhaps what you long for is not the medicine your soul truly needs. Wait, then, with the patience of the Saints who did not know all things, but trusted the One who does. While you wait, do not sit idle. Ask God not merely to change your circumstances, but to create in you a clean heart. For a clean heart sees clearly. Pray for the one you miss, bless him, indeed, but pray more that your own heart is washed from every uncleanness of resentment, self-will, or despair. The defilement that comes from within requires tears and time to purge, but the Comforter labors alongside you.

Lift up the hands that hang down and the feeble knees. God is not unrighteous to forget your love and your labor of hope. If He ordains that this door open again, He will do it in a way that leaves no room for human forcing. If He ordains that it remain shut, He will give you strength to bear the silence. Either way, you are not waiting on a distant tyrant but on a faithful High Priest who was tempted in all points like you, yet without sin. His reconciliation with humanity cost His own blood; how much more will He tenderly handle your small story? Do not insult His timing by grasping, nor His wisdom by despairing. Let your groaning become a quiet expectation. Peace be with you, the peace that passes understanding, which the world cannot give, and which sorrow cannot steal.
