Servant of All
Lord, I am feeling very vulnerable today and I need your assistance. I had tried my best to bounce back after every step backs that caused by some horrible people in my life, but I am still haunted on this sometimes. Lord, please pour your wisdom upon me so I can stay clear headed and keep focus on my cross every step of the way. I am disappointed I had my job rejections not because I am lacking of abilities and skills. I am really hurt that I cannot make contributions to the society with my talents and experiences, and I am full of woe at the moment. Lord, please draw the right opportunities to me and point me to the right directions. Please help me to make use my talents and intelligent in my career and everything I do. Lord, please help me to meditate on your words so I won't fall into the depression again. In the name of Jesus, Amen

We hear the deep ache in your heart, the weariness from battling rejection and the longing to use your God-given gifts for His glory. It is a painful thing to be overlooked when you have labored faithfully, and we grieve with you over the wounds left by those who have caused you harm. Yet we are encouraged that you have brought this burden before the Lord, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). You are not forgotten by Him, even when the world dismisses you.

The enemy would love for you to believe that your worth is tied to the approval of men or the success of your career, but we declare over you the truth of Scripture: *"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them"* (Ephesians 2:10). Your identity is not in your job title, your skills, or even your contributions to society—it is in Christ alone. He has already approved you, called you by name, and equipped you for His purposes. The rejections you face do not define you; they are merely detours on the path He is sovereignly ordaining for you.

We are struck by your resilience—how you have risen again and again after being knocked down. This is the mark of a warrior in God’s kingdom, one who refuses to let bitterness take root. But we also sense the danger of isolation in your pain. The Lord did not design us to carry such burdens alone. Have you shared these struggles with trusted believers who can pray over you, speak truth into your heart, and remind you of God’s faithfulness when your strength falters? *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ"* (Galatians 6:2). If you have not, we urge you to seek out a biblical community where you can be known and encouraged. Depression thrives in secrecy, but it loses its grip in the light of Christ-centered fellowship.

As for your career, we pray that the Lord would shut every door that is not His will for you and fling wide the one He has prepared. But we also ask: Have you surrendered this desire fully to Him? It is easy to pray for opportunities while clinging to our own plans. *"Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will bring out your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noon day sun"* (Psalm 37:5-6). Sometimes, the "right direction" is not the one we expected, but the one that draws us closer to Him. If He is calling you to a season of waiting, will you trust that He is refining you even now? Your talents are not wasted in His hands.

We must also address the temptation to despair when God’s timing does not match our own. The psalmist cried out, *"Why are you in despair, my soul? Why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God!"* (Psalm 42:5). When woe threatens to overwhelm you, fight back with worship. Open the Scriptures and let His promises anchor you. Memorize verses that combat the lies of the enemy. For example, when rejection whispers that you are worthless, declare: *"Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing"* (Psalm 23:1). When fear says your future is bleak, proclaim: *"‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ says Yahweh, ‘plans of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future’* (Jeremiah 29:11).

Lastly, we celebrate that you invoked the name of Jesus in your prayer, for it is the only name by which we are saved and through which we boldly approach the throne of grace (Acts 4:12, Hebrews 4:16). There is power in that name—power to break chains, to heal wounds, and to make a way where there seems to be none. Cling to Him, for He is your greatest advocate.

Now, let us pray over you:

Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, the One who sees every tear and collects every sorrow. Lord, You know the depth of their pain—the sting of rejection, the frustration of unfulfilled purpose, the haunting memories of those who have wronged them. We ask that You would bind up their broken heart and replace their woe with the oil of joy (Isaiah 61:3). Give them a supernatural clarity of mind, that they would not be distracted by the lies of the enemy but would fix their eyes on You, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Father, we pray for divine connections and open doors in their career—opportunities that align with Your will and bring You glory. If there are skills they need to develop or steps of obedience they have yet to take, reveal them clearly. Give them favor with those in authority, not for their own gain, but so that Your name would be magnified through their work. Remind them that even Joseph was rejected and falsely accused, yet You used his suffering to save many (Genesis 50:20). Let them see that their story is not over—You are writing something beautiful, even in the waiting.

Protect them from the snare of bitterness toward those who have hurt them. Help them to forgive, not because those people deserve it, but because You have forgiven them so much more (Ephesians 4:32). Surround them with godly counselors who will speak life into their spirit and hold them accountable to walk in faith.

And Lord, if they have begun to worship at the altar of career or success, convict them gently but firmly. Remind them that their primary calling is to love You with all their heart, soul, and mind (Matthew 22:37). Everything else is secondary. May they find their satisfaction in You alone, so that whether they are in a season of abundance or lack, their joy remains unshaken.

We rebuke every spirit of depression, anxiety, and self-pity in the mighty name of Jesus. We declare that our brother/sister is more than a conqueror through Christ (Romans 8:37) and that their story will testify to Your goodness. Fill them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust You to move mightily in their life, for Your glory and their good. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Dear friend, we're here for you. We feel the weight of your vulnerability today and we want you to know that you're not alone. You've been through so much, but you keep getting back up, and that's a testament to your strength and resilience. We're proud of you for not letting bitterness take root.

We want to encourage you with these words from the Lord: "I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you" (Isaiah 43:1-2, ESV). He is with you, and He will never leave you or forsake you.

We also want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your job or your career. You are a child of God, created in His image, and that makes you priceless. The rejections you've faced are not a reflection of your value, but rather an opportunity for God to show His faithfulness in your life.

As for your career, we pray that God would open the right doors for you and shut the wrong ones. We also pray that you would trust Him with your future, even if it doesn't look like what you expected. Remember, "Many are the plans in a person's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails" (Proverbs 19:21, NIV).

And finally, we want to encourage you to lean into community. Share your struggles with trusted believers who can pray for you, speak truth into your life, and remind you of God's faithfulness. Depression thrives in secrecy, but it loses its power in the light of Christ-centered fellowship.

We're praying for you, and we're here if you need to talk. Keep fighting, and keep trusting. You're not alone, and God is with you every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
