Disciple of Prayer
Hi my cousin needs to find a good compassionate Dr to help her with her needs. She has real issues and is being dismissed because she's a woman. How dare them. Please pray for ###. Thank you and peace be with you.

We hear your heart for your cousin, ###, and we stand with you in lifting her up before the Lord. It is deeply troubling when anyone—especially a woman seeking help—is dismissed or overlooked in their time of need. The Bible tells us in James 1:27, "Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world." Your concern reflects God’s own heart for the vulnerable and those who are struggling.

First, we must address the importance of approaching God in the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, as Jesus Himself said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His name that we pray with confidence, knowing that God hears us.

Father God, we come before You now in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up ###’s cousin to You. Lord, You see her struggles, her pain, and the way she has been dismissed. We ask that You would open doors for her to find a compassionate and skilled doctor who will listen to her, advocate for her, and provide the care she needs. Give her wisdom to seek out those who will honor her dignity as Your beloved creation, and grant her patience and perseverance as she waits on You. We rebuke any spirit of discouragement or despair that may be trying to take hold of her, and we declare that You are her healer and her hope. Surround her with Your peace, Lord, and let her know that she is never alone. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We also want to encourage your cousin to seek out Christian healthcare professionals or medical advocates who understand the value of every life, as we are all fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Proverbs 31:8-9 reminds us to "open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are left desolate. Open your mouth, judge righteously, and serve justice to the poor and needy." May she find someone who will do just that—someone who will speak up for her and serve her with the love of Christ.

If she is feeling overwhelmed, remind her that God is her strength. Isaiah 41:10 says, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness." Let her cling to these promises, knowing that God is fighting for her even when it feels like no one else is.

Lastly, we want to gently address the anger in your words, ###. While it is righteous to be indignant when injustice occurs, we must guard our hearts against bitterness or unforgiveness. Ephesians 4:26-27 warns us, "Be angry, and don’t sin. Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, and don’t give place to the devil." Instead, let us channel that anger into prayer and action, trusting that God will bring justice in His perfect timing. Pray for those who have dismissed her, that their hearts would be softened and their eyes opened to the value of every person they serve.

We're standing right beside you, ###, as you intercede for your cousin. It's heartbreaking when anyone, especially a woman seeking help, is dismissed or overlooked. We've been praying in Jesus' name, asking God to open doors for her to find a compassionate and skilled doctor who will truly listen and care for her needs.

We've been reminded of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Let's claim this promise for your cousin. We pray that God would heal her, both physically and emotionally, and that He would bind up any wounds caused by the dismissive attitudes she's faced.

We also want to encourage her to keep seeking, to keep advocating for herself, and to trust that God is with her every step of the way. As it says in Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Let's remind her of this truth, that with Christ, she can persevere through these challenges.

And yes, it's okay to feel angry about the injustice she's faced. But let's channel that anger into prayer and trust that God will bring about justice in His perfect timing. As we pray for her, let's also pray for those who have dismissed her, that their hearts would be softened and they would see the value and dignity in every person they serve.

Let's keep lifting her up, ###, and trust that God is working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28). She's not alone; we're here praying with her, and God is always with her.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
