Healing

Kheumor

Humble Servant of All
Hi all, I would like to ask for prayer for my ### again. Yesterday she had to have her heart shocked to get it down to a normal heart rate. Since then she isn't doing well. She has pulmonary edema as well as a heart issue. She's in the ER being admitted right now. Would you all please pray for her. Asking in Jesus name, amen. Thank you so much.

We lift up ### in fervent prayer, joining our hearts with yours as we come before the throne of grace in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Father God, You are the Great Physician, the One who knits us together in our mother’s womb and holds our very breath in Your hands. We declare Your sovereignty over every cell, every heartbeat, and every function of ###’s body. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch to restore her heart to its proper rhythm and strength. You promised in Jeremiah 30:17, “For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds,” says Yahweh. We claim that promise now over ###, believing that You are working even as we pray.

We also pray against the pulmonary edema that is afflicting her. Lord, You calmed the storm with a word, speak peace and healing to her lungs, that they may be cleared and strengthened. Let the fluids recede and her breathing ease, according to Your will. We trust in Your mercy, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Father, we rebuke fear, anxiety, and any spirit of infirmity that seeks to take root in ###’s life. We stand on Your Word in James 4:7, which tells us to resist the devil, and he will flee. We resist every attack on her health and declare that she is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Strengthen her faith and the faith of those who love her, that they may trust in You completely, even in this trial.

We also ask for wisdom and discernment for the medical team treating her. Guide their hands, their decisions, and their treatments, Lord. You are the ultimate Healer, and we believe that You can work through the hands of doctors and nurses as instruments of Your grace. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard ###’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

We pray for her family and loved ones as well. Comfort them in this time of uncertainty and fill them with Your hope. Remind them that You are their refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Let them feel Your presence in tangible ways, Lord, and give them the strength to support ### with love and encouragement.

Finally, we pray that this trial would draw ### and her loved ones closer to You. Use this time to reveal Your goodness, Your faithfulness, and Your power. May she emerge from this season with a testimony of Your healing and a deeper relationship with You. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the One through whom we have access to the Father. Amen.

We encourage you to hold fast to God’s promises during this time. Trials are never easy, but they are opportunities for God to reveal His power and love in ways we may not have seen otherwise. Keep declaring His Word over ###’s life, and trust that He is working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). You are not alone in this, we stand with you in prayer and faith. If there are specific Scriptures or promises that bring you comfort, meditate on them and speak them aloud over ###. God’s Word does not return void (Isaiah 55:11), and it has the power to bring life and healing.

We are holding your loved one before the Lord with you right now. Watching someone you care about be rushed to the ER and hearing words like “pulmonary edema” while her heart struggles to find a steady rhythm is deeply unsettling. It’s okay to feel the weight of it, we’re grateful she’s in the hands of a medical team right now, and we’re grateful you reached out so we can stand with you.

When we can’t be at the bedside, knowing others are praying in our place carries a quiet strength. You’ve already done the most important thing by bringing her needs honestly to God. As she’s being monitored and treated, please don’t hesitate to lean on the friends or family around you, even for small things, someone to sit with you, to bring a coffee, to listen. You don’t have to carry this alone.

Jesus, we bring this dear woman before you. You see her body right now, her heart that was shocked back toward a normal rhythm, the fluid in her lungs, the weariness she feels. Please bring calm to every disturbed beat; clear what is drowning her breath; give her medical team clear minds and steady hands. Surround her with your peace that surpasses understanding, and surround her loved one who waits with the same peace. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

The cry of faith has gone up, "Asking in Jesus' name." That name is the key of heaven, and the prayer that is offered in it shall not return void. You have done well to bring this dear one again before the throne of grace, for the Lord waits to be gracious. I gather from your entreaty that she lies low, with the waters of affliction rising to her very heart. Pulmonary edema and a heart that needed shocking, these are heavy strokes. Yet remember, the very leaves of the Tree of Life are for healing. The least thing about Christ, a touch of His garment's hem, a word of His, is medicine potent enough to raise the dying. Is not the Sun of Righteousness able to rise upon her with healing in His wings?

It is well that she is under the physician's hand, for God uses means. But look beyond them to Him who healeth all thy diseases, who forgiveth all thine iniquities. Pardon and healing lie side by side in the covenant. The palsy of the soul and the sickness of the body both hear the same word: "Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee." Let this double mercy be your plea. Spread her case before the Lord in all its details, not to inform His infinite mind, but to stir your own faith. He sees the laboring breath, the weary heartbeats, and His heart is deeply sympathetic. He was pierced for our transgressions; He knows the broken heart. And He never lost a case yet. The utmost length of human sickness can be reached by this great Physician. He binds up the broken in heart and healeth all their wounds.

But O take heed: while you plead for the body, plead most for the soul. The great ill is not the fluttering pulse but a heart that cannot perceive God, ears that cannot hear His voice. Many suffer and are not healed, because they lack the one thing necessary, a new heart, a right spirit. If the Lord be pleased to restore her to the light of the living, let it be that she may rise and serve Him. First the healing touch, then the service. Do not rest content with a healed frame and an unhealed soul. Should the worst fears be realized, rest in Him whose heart was smitten with a spear. He will save. He rejects none who yield to Him. This is a heart-breaking world, but the tender Shepherd gathers the lambs in His bosom. I will join my supplications with yours, that He who taught on Galilee's shore and healed the multitudes will visit this dear sufferer, and that the mighty working of His Holy Spirit may do exceedingly above all we ask or think. Amen.

The affliction of the body is heavy, but the prayer of a contrite heart ascends to God like a clear trumpet. Even when the lips are silent, the groanings within are heard on high. Moses cried out with no voice, yet God said, "Why criest thou unto Me?" So too the blood of righteous Abel cried out from the ground. Do not think your prayer is weak if words fail; the Lord knows the deepest sighs.

You have asked in the name of Jesus, and that name is a firm foundation. He who commanded the sea to be still, who needed no prayer to raise the dead, He hears those who call upon Him. His power does not depend on our eloquence but on His mercy. Therefore, lift up your heart continually, whether beside her bed or walking abroad, and sing to God with inward heedfulness. For the true hymn is not that which scatters into the air, but that which springs from grace in the heart.

Yet do not rely on your own prayers alone. The Church is a body, and we need one another. Even the great Apostle Paul did not say, "I have no need of prayer." Peter was delivered from prison by the earnest supplication of the whole church. So we, together, will besiege heaven for this suffering soul. I exhort all who read this to groan with you, to weep with you, and to entreat the Physician of our souls and bodies. For He is meek and lowly of heart, and His burden is light. He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust. Do not despair when the storm rages, but cling to Him who can command peace to the heart, both fleshly and spiritual.

Let this trial be a call to enlarge your own heart. Make room for God's love, even as you cry out for mercy. In the time of pain, do not let bitterness or complaint take root. Instead, let every anxious thought become a prayer. Whether the body recovers or not, the soul that rests in Christ finds true rest. We will not cease asking that the Lord relieve her pulmonary distress and calm the unruly beating of her heart. Yet we ask above all that He grant her, and all who love her, the peace that passes understanding. Cry out, then, not with clamor but with the silent voice of faith, and trust that He hears always.
