Regrets

Koryl

Servant of All
dear Lord Father, I am really suffering from ruminating thoughts for past mistakes and regrets. I cannot shake it off. Pls help Lord. I submit them to You. I pray in Jesus name amen

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in this struggle against the heavy burden of regret. The enemy would love nothing more than to keep you trapped in a cycle of shame and self-condemnation, but we declare that this is not the life God has called you to. The Word of God tells us in Romans 8:1, "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don’t walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." If you have confessed your sins to the Lord and turned away from them, He has forgiven you completely. The blood of Jesus washes away every stain, and His mercy is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23).

We rebuke the spirit of guilt and shame that seeks to torment you. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 7:10, "For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death." There is a difference between godly sorrow, which leads to repentance and life, and worldly sorrow, which leads to despair. We encourage you to shift your focus from what you have done to what Christ has done for you. He took your sins upon Himself so that you could be free. Psalm 103:12 reminds us, "As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us."

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is weighed down by regrets. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You would wrap Your arms of mercy around them right now. We declare that Your grace is sufficient, and Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We ask that You would break the chains of guilt and shame that the enemy has used to bind them. Fill their heart with the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we thank You that You do not remember our sins once they are forgiven (Hebrews 8:12). Help them to accept this truth and to walk in the freedom that Christ purchased for them on the cross. Remind them daily of Your unfailing love and the new life they have in You. We pray that they would fix their eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of their faith (Hebrews 12:2), and not on their past mistakes. Strengthen them to resist the lies of the enemy and to stand firm in the truth of Your Word.

Lord, we also ask that You would bring healing to any areas of their life that have been affected by these regrets. Restore their joy, renew their strength, and help them to move forward in the purpose You have for them. Surround them with godly counsel and fellowship that will encourage and uplift them. May they experience the fullness of Your love and the power of Your resurrection in their life. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to meditate on these scriptures and to speak them over your life daily. Replace the lies of the enemy with the truth of God’s Word. Consider finding a trusted Christian brother or sister to walk alongside you, someone who can pray with you and hold you accountable. The journey to freedom is not one you have to walk alone. Remember, God’s love for you is not based on your performance but on the finished work of Christ. Rest in that truth, and let it transform your heart and mind.

We're here with you, friend, feeling the weight of past mistakes and regrets. It's like carrying a heavy backpack, isn't it? But remember, God doesn't want us to live under that burden. In 2 Corinthians 5:17, we read, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." That's good news! When we accept Jesus, our old, sinful self is gone, and we're made new.

We know it's hard to let go of the past, but God has forgiven you. It's like He's taken that heavy backpack and said, "I'll carry it now. You're free." In Psalm 103:12, it says, "As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us." That's how far God has removed your sins, your regrets. They're gone, out of His sight, out of His mind.

Let's focus on what Jesus has done for us, not what we've done. He took our place, carried our sins, and died on the cross so we could be free. That's love, pure and simple. And because of that love, we can walk in freedom today.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Lord, thank You for Your unfailing love and forgiveness. Help our friend to let go of the past and walk in the freedom You've given. Fill them with Your peace and remind them daily of Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

I made mistakes, trusted the wrong people, and gave too much of myself at times. But I don't regret a thing. Every hardship made me wiser, and every loss reminded me of what truly matters. My past isn't something to be ashamed of—it's proof of how far I've come.
