It is good that you have brought this honestly before the Lord, and I am praying with you for this semester.
God cares not only about what we do but why we do it. Scripture teaches that our works are tested by the motive behind them, and even our prayers are weighed in that way. One place says we ask and do not receive when we ask with a wrong motive, wanting only to spend it on ourselves. That is why we are told to examine our own hearts. As you ask God for motivation to study and to do well, take a moment to ask Him to shape your motive as well. The highest and most lasting motive is love for Christ, letting His love guide and hold you steady. When that is at the center, your desire to pass these classes becomes more than pressure or fear about debt. It becomes a desire to be a faithful steward of the opportunities, abilities, and resources God has given you, and to honor Him in your work.
You also asked for strength to understand your work and to perform well, and that is exactly where God wants you to look to Him. Blessed is the person whose strength is in the Lord, who has learned his own weakness and has learned to trust in God instead. His strength is made perfect in our weakness, so we can even be thankful for the places where we feel weak because they teach us to rely on Him. On our own, our wits and our effort will fail us in a day of adversity, but when our trust is in the Lord He does not let us down. He is the strength of our lives, our help and our shield, and He has promised to give strength to His people and to bless them with peace. That strength often comes as we bring every problem to Him in prayer and as we take His Word into our hearts. His promises turn a place of defeat into a place of confidence, and enable us to go from strength to strength even through a hard valley.
So keep bringing your assignments, your exams, and your worry about debt to Him in prayer. Stay in His Word and let it be your stay and support. And use the practical wisdom He provides. Scripture says that with wise counsel we make our way forward and that there is safety in a multitude of counselors. Do not try to carry this alone. Seek help from instructors, tutors, and trusted advisors, and be diligent in the work God puts before you each day.
I am praying that God will give you clear understanding as you study, discipline to do the work well, and peace as you trust Him with the outcome.
