Father, we thank You that even in events like these You are still Our Refuge, Strength, and Ever-Present Help in Times of Trouble, therefore we will not fear, though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea, Ps 46:1-3. Protect the young, women, injured and elderly -- raise up laborers and send them out into this time when people need THE LOVE OF GOD, The Good News, miracles, resurrections, gifts of healing, salvation, wisdom, edification, comfort, gifts of mercy, faith and exhortation... Medical teams... Lead them NOT int temptation but DELIVER them from evil, Matt 6:13... Joseph-like administrators of food, water, supplies and finances -- as well as not neglecting the Word of God to serve tables, Acts 6:2-6.

Prepare us all for storms of life, and even worse -- wars, famines, so we are not weakened or stumble in our faith but grow CLOSER to JESUS, are emboldened to pray, preach, heal the sick, cast out demons, prophesy of Christ's return, Rev 19:10... Lord prepare, provide for and send out laborers, Matt 9:35-36, 37-38, and help people get ready by hearing The Sermon on The Mount and PUTS THEM INTO PRACTICE are like wise people who build their houses on The Rock so when rain and torrents rage and gush and blow we do not fall because we have a proper foundation, Matt 7:24-25, 1 Cor 3:11, because what Jesus says about enduring to the end to be saved IS A REAL WARNING and specifically in context to preaching the Gospel throughout the world as we've all been assigned, each to varying degrees, Matt 24:13-14, c.f. Matt 28:18-19, 20; Mark 16:15-17, Luke 24:46-67, John 20:21, Acts 1:8. Thank You in Jesus' Name, Phil 4:6-7.

We stand together in agreement with your heartfelt cry for wisdom, protection, and boldness in these tumultuous times. The signs you’ve highlighted, deception, wars, famines, earthquakes, are indeed the birth pangs Jesus warned us about in Matthew 24, reminders that this world is groaning under the weight of sin, yet also signals of the hope we have in Christ’s return. Father, we lift up the young, the women, the injured, and the elderly who are often the most affected by upheaval. Raise up laborers, medical teams, administrators, preachers, and intercessors, who will carry Your love, healing, and truth into the darkest places. Equip them with Joseph-like wisdom to steward resources faithfully (Genesis 41:38-40), with the compassion of Christ to bind up the brokenhearted (Isaiah 61:1), and with the courage of Stephen to proclaim Your Word even amid persecution (Acts 7). Guard their hearts from temptation, deliver them from evil (Matthew 6:13), and let them not neglect Your Word while serving practical needs (Acts 6:2-4). May they walk in the fullness of the Spirit’s gifts, healing, prophecy, mercy, and faith, so that many would encounter You through their obedience.

Lord, prepare us all for the storms ahead. Strengthen our faith so we do not stumble when trials come but draw nearer to You (James 4:8). Embolden us to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17), to preach the Gospel with urgency (Mark 16:15), and to demonstrate Your power through signs and wonders (Acts 4:30). Let us not grow cold in love (Matthew 24:12) but burn with passion for Your kingdom, redeeming the time (Ephesians 5:16) and putting Your words into practice (Matthew 7:24-25). Build our lives on the Rock, Christ Jesus, so that when the rains fall and the winds blow, we stand firm (1 Corinthians 3:11).

We rebuke the spirit of deception that seeks to lead many astray with false christs and false gospels (Matthew 24:4-5). Expose the lies of the enemy and let Your truth prevail in every nation. We also rebuke complacency in the Church, awaken us from slumber! The warning of Matthew 24:13 is clear: endurance is not optional for those who would be saved. This is not a call to fear but to holy readiness. The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37-38). Send forth workers, Lord, and let us be among them, faithful to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) and the command to make disciples of all nations.

We pray for those who are hearing the Gospel for the first time in these days. Soften their hearts to receive Your Word, and let them build their lives on the foundation of Christ alone. For those who have wandered from the faith, draw them back with cords of love (Hosea 11:4). For the persecuted, be their shield and strength (Psalm 3:3). For the weary, renew their strength (Isaiah 40:31). And for the lost, open their eyes to see Jesus as the only Way, Truth, and Life (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Thank You, Father, that You have not left us as orphans in these last days (John 14:18). You have given us Your Spirit to guide, empower, and comfort us (John 16:13). Help us to walk in step with Him, to be wise as serpents and innocent as doves (Matthew 10:16), and to proclaim the Gospel with boldness and love. May our lives reflect the hope of Christ’s return, and may we be found faithful when He comes.

When the news is full of conflict and shaking, it's understandable to feel the weight of it all, and we hear how you want to stay steady in Christ rather than be driven by fear.

What encouraged us in what you shared is that turning to God as our refuge isn't denying that hard things are happening, it's choosing where we anchor while they do. You want to be ready, to keep growing closer to Jesus and to be useful to others, and God delights in that willing heart. He works through quiet, faithful obedience more than through frantic preparation.

One gentle way to live out what you're praying might be to take one practical teaching of Jesus from the Sermon on the Mount and put it into practice in a small, concrete way this week, perhaps a reconciling conversation, a secret act of generosity, or a moment of prayer for an enemy, and to keep a short daily prayer for laborers, medical teams and those distributing food and supplies, by name as you are able. Small rooted steps build the foundation you described.

Father, we thank You that You remain our refuge and strength when the earth shakes. We lift the young, women, injured and elderly to You, and ask You to raise up and sustain laborers, healers and wise stewards. It is a needful and timely prayer you have brought before the Lord, and we join our hearts with yours in it. You have rightly taken the words of our Saviour, that we should see to it that no one deceives us, and that when we hear of wars and rumors of wars, of famines and earthquakes in various places, we are not alarmed, for these are but the beginning of birth pangs. Even so we confess with the Psalmist that God is our refuge and strength, an ever present help in trouble, therefore we will not fear though the earth be removed and the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.

There is a fear which the Lord himself puts within his people, and this is not the slavish fear which perfect love casts out, but a filial fear, the reverence of children who love their Father and would not grieve Him. The promise of the covenant is, I will put my fear in their hearts, that they shall not depart from me. This holy fear is kept alive by hearing the Word, by feeding upon Scripture and by meditation upon revealed truth, and it is this fear which becomes our holdfast in the storm. So we are not to live in the dread of Sinai, but in the joy of that angel's word, Fear not, for unto you is born a Saviour. Let not the tumults of nations nor the shaking of the earth drive you to unbelief, for nature and grace may battle in the soul as they did in Jacob, yet faith must answer fear with the promises of God.

You have prayed that we may endure to the end, and this is both a necessity and a promise. He that endures to the end, the same shall be saved, and this perseverance is not of our own strength. He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ, who also shall confirm you unto the end, that you may be blameless in the day of our Lord. The righteous falleth seven times and riseth up again, for the Lord still holdeth the righteous and bindeth up our bones when they are broken. Were it not for the Holy Spirit abiding with us forever we might well doubt, but as long as He abides we will not fear that we shall be left to perish. Grace engenders a holy caution, for we feel that if we were not preserved by Divine power we should perish, and that caution keeps us close to Christ.

Therefore let us build as wise men upon the Rock, hearing the Sermon on the Mount and putting it into practice, so that when the rain descends and the floods come and the winds blow, our house shall not fall. This is the way to redeem the time and to be made ready, to give ourselves to prayer, to the preaching of the gospel to every creature, to healing and mercy and works of faith, looking for the coming of the Lord. The gospel of the kingdom must be preached in all the world for a testimony to all nations, and then shall the end come.

Jesus told us plainly to see to it that no one deceives us, that wars and rumors of wars, famines and earthquakes must happen, but not to be alarmed, for these are only the beginning of birth pains and the end is still to come. There will be confusion from many false prophets and false messiahs, and great tribulation, yet even that time is limited for the sake of the elect, and immediately after it the Lord Himself will appear. Knowing this keeps us from both fear and from careless presumption. We are not promised an escape that exempts us from what Jesus and the apostles warned would come, but we are promised that the One who endured all things first and then ascended is our High Priest who is touched with the feeling of our weaknesses and is able to sympathize and sustain us.

We pray with you for protection for the young, for women, for the injured and the elderly, and for deliverance from evil as Jesus taught us to pray. We ask the Lord of the harvest to raise up and send out laborers, medical teams, those with gifts of healing and mercy and faith, those who will preach the good news and make disciples of all nations, and Joseph like administrators who will steward food, water, supplies and finances with wisdom while not neglecting the Word of God and prayer. May God provide both the workers and the provision, and keep them from temptation.

We also hear your desire to be prepared so that faith does not weaken or stumble when storms come. The wise person is the one who hears the words of Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount and puts them into practice, building the house on the rock which is Christ Himself. That foundation is laid by hearing and doing, by redeeming the time, by turning from sin with much penitence and prayer, and by growing closer to Jesus. As you said, the call to endure to the end to be saved is a real warning, and it is given in the context of the gospel of the kingdom being preached as a testimony to all nations. Our endurance itself shows that the preaching is not deceit, for no one would willingly bear so many dangers and daily afflictions without a living hope. Tribulation, when borne with patience, does not destroy the faithful but makes them more glorious, as we see in Job and Joseph and David, and our salvation is displayed and increased when it has endurance.

Therefore we encourage you to continue in prayer at all seasons without ceasing, watching with perseverance for all the saints. Pray as the widow did with importunity, as the friend at midnight who kept knocking, as the Syrophoenician woman who would not stop pleading, until the Lord answers. Do not lightly throw yourself into danger when there is no need, for that is rashness, but when the gospel calls and circumstances require it, do not draw back, for that would be cowardice. Prepare your mind for all endurance, trusting that God brings chastening for our good and will relieve us when it has accomplished its work, and He will keep us in His perfect peace as we make our requests known to Him.

We ask God to make you bold to pray, to preach, to heal the sick, to cast out darkness in Jesus name, and to bear witness that Jesus is coming again, so that many more may hear and believe and be saved through Him alone. May He keep your love from growing cold though wickedness increases, and keep you holy and steadfast, preaching and witnessing to everyone and praying for all people, until the gospel has been proclaimed and the end comes.

Father, establish all who hear this word on the rock, provide for every need, guard every heart and mind in Christ Jesus, and help us all to persevere to the end. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only hope and salvation. Amen.

Your prayer reflects exactly what Jesus taught us to expect and how to respond. He said to make sure no one deceives us, that wars and rumors of wars, famines and earthquakes would come in various places, but we are not to be alarmed. These things must happen, yet the end is still to come. They are the beginning of birth pains, and then persecution, falling away and the cooling of love would follow, while the gospel of the kingdom is preached in all the world. Your desire to redeem the time, to get holy, to pray for all people and to witness while there is opportunity is the right response.

The Scripture you quoted is the anchor for fearful times. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth be removed and the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea. If God is truly our refuge and strength, we do not need to fear any calamity or catastrophe. Even if an earthquake leveled everything and this body were left under the rubble, the body alone would be there. The person who belongs to Christ would be with Him. That security is not because we are worthy in ourselves. Scripture brings it down to our level when it says the God of Jacob is our refuge. Jacob was not an honorable man at many points, yet God was his refuge, and He is ours in the same way.

Scripture gave a beautiful picture of this in the cities of refuge. At every crossroad there was a sign pointing with an arrow toward the city, so the one in danger would know where to run. The innocent person who fled there was protected from the avenger, given a fair hearing, and kept safe as long as he remained inside the city. There was no refuge there for the one who acted with premeditated malice and hatred, but for the one who fled for mercy, the city was safety. In the same way we have fled to Christ for refuge. He is holy, He is at the very heart of our lives, and as long as we remain in Him we are safe. Like those cities that were set among the people and served by those who taught the word, Christ is near and accessible, and the way to Him is clearly marked.

Remembering the Lord is the cure for fear. David said though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for You are with me. Fear comes when we forget the Lord and lose the sense of His presence. Faith and fear cannot rule the heart at the same time. Where fear is allowed to take over, faith departs, and where there is strong confidence in God, fear is driven out. The Lord said to His servants, fear not for I am with you, and that consciousness of His presence dispels fear. This does not mean we act foolishly. We do what is wise and prudent, but we do not make our decisions out of fear or try to hide in a way God has not directed. If God wants to protect us, He can protect us wherever we are. We do not trust in the arm of flesh or the help of man, which is never sufficient. We need the strength and help of God.

The beginning and the sum of true knowledge is the reverent fear of the Lord. That fear is not a phobia, but awe at who God is, His greatness and power, a desire to love what He loves and to hate what He hates. To fear the Lord is to hate evil and to depart from it, and that brings health and stability to life. When you fear the Lord in this way, you do not need to be afraid of sudden fear or of the desolation that comes upon the wicked. The Lord will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being taken.

So continue to build as Jesus described, hearing His words in the Sermon on the Mount and putting them into practice. That is like a wise person who builds his house on the rock. When the rain and torrents come and the winds blow, the house does not fall because it has a proper foundation, which is Christ Himself. Enduring to the end and being saved is linked in context to the worldwide preaching of the gospel, the task given to all of us in varying degrees to go and make disciples, to preach, to heal the sick, to cast out darkness in Jesus name and to hold out the testimony of Jesus.

I join you in praying for the most vulnerable, the young, women, the injured and the elderly, that God would protect them and deliver them from evil and not lead them into temptation. I pray He will raise up laborers for this harvest, those with mercy and faith to bring the good news, salvation, comfort and healing, medical teams, and those with wisdom like Joseph to administer food, water, supplies and finances with integrity, while not neglecting the ministry of the word and prayer.
