We rejoice with you in the provision of a home where you and your children can dwell in safety, peace, and harmony! The Lord is our provider, and we give Him all the glory for this answered prayer. Psalm 23:6 says, "Surely goodness and loving kindness shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in Yahweh’s house forever." What a blessing it is to have a place where your family can thrive under God’s protection.

Father, we thank You for this home You have given. We pray that it would be a sanctuary of Your presence, where love, healing, and restoration abound. We ask that You would mend any brokenness in the hearts of each family member, that their souls would be whole and at peace. May this home be filled with Your joy, Your wisdom, and Your guidance as they walk in Your ways. We declare healing over every area of their lives, emotionally, spiritually, and physically, so that they may live in the fullness of life You intended for them.

We also lift up your children, Lord. May they grow in faith, wisdom, and strength, knowing they are deeply loved by You and their mother. We pray for their futures, that You would prepare them for the plans You have for them, equipping them with everything they need to walk in Your purpose. We ask that You would bless their passports and travels, that every journey would be safe and filled with Your favor.

For your cats, we thank You for the comfort and companionship they bring. We pray for their safety and well-being, and we ask that You would bless the plans for a catio where they can enjoy the outdoors securely.

However, we must gently address the language used in your post regarding the souls of your children and their partners. Scripture is clear that our souls belong to the Lord, and we are not to speak of souls being "with" another person in the way you described. Jeremiah 10:23 reminds us, "Yahweh, I know that the way of man is not in himself. It is not in man who walks to direct his own steps." Our souls are to be surrendered to God alone, for He is the one who guides and heals us. We encourage you to focus on praying for their relationship with Christ above all else, that they would seek Him first in all things.

We also want to gently remind you that any romantic relationships your children may be in should align with God’s design for marriage, a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. If they are courting, it should be with the intention of marriage to a believer, honoring God in purity and commitment. We pray that if they are in relationships, they would seek Your will and follow Your ways, avoiding any sin such as fornication, which grieves Your heart.

Lastly, we want to emphasize the power of the name of Jesus. It is only through Him that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We encourage you to continue praying in Jesus’ name, for His name is above every other name, and it is through Him that all things are possible.

Father, we lift up this family to You, asking that You would continue to pour out Your blessings upon them. May this home be a place where Your love is evident, where Your Word is honored, and where Your presence is felt. The redemption which Christ has purchased for His people is not a half-work; it is a full ransom, and in it we find the remedy for every need. He gave His life a ransom for many, and that great redemption leaves not a hoof behind, the home, the offspring, the very beasts of the field are under the shadow of His wings. Is it not written that the captives among the moors return to their home? Plenteous redemption takes away every sin, every punishment, and brings with it a settled peace. The healing leaves of the Tree of Life are for the nations: the least thing about Christ is healing; His word, His touch, makes the nature new. Behold, the Lord puts pardon and healing in happy conjunction, and the joy of redemption by blood, by power, and in its coming perfection is our song. Trust, then, to that precious blood, and let your heart rejoice, for He will accomplish all this for you and yours, restoring the soul of each child, giving your dwelling-place safety, and making even your household creatures to rest in His care. The redemption is full; believe it, and it shall be so.

You ask for a home of your own, for the healing of your offspring, for passports and vacations, even for the safety of your cats, and you cover all with the blood of Jesus. Yet I tremble at such prayer, for you have brought a request that is more a command than a supplication. When you declare yourself "redeemed from not having a home," you misunderstand redemption itself. Redemption is from sin and eternal death, not from the lack of an address you control. You seek a kingdom of this world, where your children never leave, where your cats are safe in a catio, and where all worries vanish. But our Lord said, "In the world you will have tribulation." Did He promise a life free from want, or did He call us to deny ourselves and take up our cross?

You heap up many words, as if by much speaking you will be heard. But consider: if you pray for your enemies, you add to your sins an unlawful prayer. And if you pray for earthly ease with such insistence, do you not set your heart on things below? The days of Noah were filled with eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the flood came and took them all away. So too will the coming of the Son of Man be, when many speak peace and safety while living in luxury. I do not wish you to be among those who are overtaken by sudden destruction because they loved comfort more than God.

Your offspring need healing of the soul, you say. But where do you seek this healing? If you believe that their souls will be healed merely by having a secure house, or by having their mother near, you are gravely mistaken. Christ heals souls by His word and by the Holy Spirit, not by a fixed address. The centurion’s servant was healed because of another’s faith, but the one healed did not resist. Are your children walking in faith, or are you desiring for them earthly contentment above repentance? You say they will have their "color" and "energy" and no worries, but what profit is it to gain the whole world and lose one's soul?

You ask for passports and vacations; these are trifles. If God grants them, well and good. But to clamor for them as if they are promises of God is foolish. The apostles had no certain dwelling place; they were beaten and imprisoned. Their joy was not in a vacation but in suffering for Christ. You are a mother, and it is natural to care for your children’s welfare. Yet your care must not become idolatry. You are to commit them to the Father, even as Christ committed His disciples, saying, "Holy Father, keep them in your name." He did not promise them houses and ease, but that they would be one with Him and the Father, and that their joy would be full in the midst of trials.

I do not say it is wrong to desire a home, or peace for your family. But let your request be made known with thanksgiving, not with declarations as if you command God. You are the clay, He the potter. Learn to be a careful hearer of the word; let it take root and bear fruit. Even if you have heard many sermons and felt nothing, yet one day the tree may fall by a final blow after many previous strokes. So do not despair, but repent of such worldly-minded prayers. Instead, pray that you and your household may be kept from evil, that you may be content in whatever state you are, and that you may seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Then all these things, the things you truly need, will be added to you, according to His wisdom, not your demands.

As for your cats, to pray for them is not sinful, for God cares for all His creatures. But is it not strange that you speak more of your cat’s happiness than of your own soul’s humility? You rejoice that your cat listens and is happy and fat. Should you not rather rejoice that your name is written in heaven? Let that be your joy, and let your prayer be: "Father, thy will be done." The Bridegroom’s voice brings true joy, not the safety of a backyard cat.

Therefore, cease from these noisy petitions and seek the silence of submission. God knows your needs. He loves your children more than you do. Trust Him. Do not treat the blood of Jesus as a charm to secure houses and passports, but as the means by which you are cleansed from sin and made an heir of eternal life. There is your true address: a city with foundations, whose builder and maker is God. May you and your household one day dwell there in perfect peace, where no cat or house or passport will be needed, for Christ will be all in all.

Your cry for a home of your own rises from a deep place, and I hear in it the longing of a heart that has known displacement and yearns for safety, for permanence, for a place where love can settle and healing can grow. That desire is not lost on the Lord. He himself promised to be a wall of fire around his people: not a flimsy barrier, but a living defense of holy flame, surrounding and securing those who belong to him. And he calls his own the apple of his eye, so tenderly guarded that whoever touches them touches what is most precious to him. Your longing for an address where you and your offspring can dwell in peace and harmony, where even your cats can rest in safety, is held within that same gaze of the Father.

Redemption is exactly the word you have seized, and it is the right one. The price has been paid in full by the blood of Jesus, once for all, yet we still wait for the full outworking of that purchase in our daily lives. Our redemption is sealed, but we groan inwardly as we wait for its complete display, the redemption even of our bodies and circumstances. What you seek, a home, healing for your offspring, the wholeness of their souls and yours, is a taste of the restoration that God is bringing. He opens a fountain for sin and uncleanness, and from that cleansing flow all other mercies: the healing of memories, the coloring of life with hope, the energy to walk forward without fear.

Do not think your request is too small or too tangled with earthly things. Our own strivings often spring from misplaced desire, but the longing for a safe dwelling, for family love, for the well-being of those entrusted to us, is a reflection of the Shepherd who prepares a table before us and leads us beside quiet waters. He does not despise the concrete; he counts the very hairs of your head. Bring to him your need for passports and vacations, for a catio to shelter a wandering pet, for the soundness of your children’s souls. He who clothes the grass of the field is not indifferent to these things. Yet even as you pray for temporal gifts, lift your eyes higher: your true home is in him, and his love for you does not oscillate with your moods or merits. It is constant, unwavering, the steady ground beneath every changing season.

You speak of “new nights” and of family love winning today. That has the ring of faith. The Lord is calling you to live not by the fear of what can be thrown at you, but by the promise that he gathers his redeemed from the four winds, from every corner, and leads them into a city whose builder and maker is God. While we wait for that eternal gathering, he often gives us foretastes, a roof, a garden, a circle of reconciled faces, as signs of the peace that will one day cover the earth as the waters cover the sea. Do not let the accuser whisper that you deserve less. The Lord rebuke every voice that would resist his restoring work in your life. Christ bore wounds for you, and by those wounds healing is prepared for every area of need you named, and more.

So continue to ask, continue to trust, and walk in what you know already: you are redeemed. The same God who preserved his people through long wilderness journeys and brought them into a land of their own is able to open doors no one can shut. His grace will do for you what you cannot do for yourself, and when it comes, the cry on your lips will be, “Grace, grace,” because it was his hand, not your striving, that made a way. Fix your hope not on a rising anxiety over circumstances, but on Jesus, who is coming again to make all things new. Until that day, may you find in him a hiding place, and may the peace of a settled home, first in your heart, then in your walls, be your portion through the blood that speaks a better word.
