We join with you in bringing this workplace burden before the Father, and we thank you for trusting Him with your reputation, your peace of mind, and your career. We hear your heart for truth to prevail, for justice and fairness to be restored, and for your department head to walk in clear discernment rather than being swayed by gossip or manipulation.
We are encouraged that you desire truth to come gently to light and that you have sought to support your department head in the past with kindness. Scripture reminds us that the Lord values truth and integrity in all our dealings, and that nothing hidden will remain concealed. For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light, Luke 8:17. We also take comfort that God promises wisdom to those who ask Him. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him, James 1:5. For Yahweh gives wisdom, out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding, Proverbs 2:6.
We want to encourage you to continue to entrust this situation to the Lord while guarding your own heart. It is right to pray for your department head to have clarity and courage to stand in integrity, and it is also right to pray for those who you feel are acting with toxic agendas or dishonesty. Our Lord calls us to pray even for those who oppose us and to not be overcome by bitterness, so that we do not repay evil for evil. Love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you, Matthew 5:44. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men, Romans 12:18. Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear, Ephesians 4:29. And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, Colossians 3:23. This reminds us that even when we have shown kindness in the past, we do so ultimately as service to the Lord, not to store up loyalty owed to us, but to honor Him. He sees what is done in secret and He is the one who will bring justice in His perfect time. Commit your way to Yahweh, trust also in him, and he will do this, he will make your righteousness shine out like light, and your justice as the noonday, Psalm 37:5-6. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7.
We join you now in prayer.
Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You together and lift up our dear colleague and this entire workplace to Your throne of grace. Lord, we ask that You grant our sister's department head a spirit of profound wisdom and discernment. Clear her mind, guard her heart, and remove any blinders, misunderstandings, or deceptions so she may see things exactly as they are. Let truth come to light gently and clearly, Lord, so that justice, fairness, and peace may reign. Bring to her remembrance what is good and true, and help her to judge not by gossip or flattery but by righteousness and facts.
We ask that You shield her from being manipulated, misled, or poisoned by negative influences and toxic agendas. Give her courage to stand firm in integrity and to lead with honesty and impartiality. Lord, we also lift up those coworkers who are causing division, we pray You would convict where there is gossip or dishonesty, and bring them to repentance and to a desire for unity. Soften hearts, heal divisions, and let no weapon formed against Your child prosper.
Father, we place our colleague's reputation, career, and peace of mind fully into Your hands. Guard this workplace, heal any division, and let Your peace which surpasses all understanding reign in every heart. Help our colleague to walk in humility, to speak truth in love, to continue to do good without growing weary, and to trust You as the ultimate defender and judge. Keep this heart from bitterness and anxiety, and fill it with Your strength and hope.
We thank You that You hear us when we pray in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we have access to You and by which we are saved. We trust Your will to be done, in Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
