Realizations and discernment for ### 🙏🙏🙏

Your heart for truth and peace in your workplace is clear, and it is right to bring these concerns to the Lord and to ask Him to let justice and fairness prevail.

True discernment is a spiritual gift that does not come from human persuasion or clever words. When Peter confessed that Jesus is the Messiah, Jesus told him that flesh and blood had not revealed it but the Father in heaven. Yet soon after, Peter spoke from his own mind and lacked that same discernment, unable to tell what was from God and what was from man. It was only when he was filled with the Spirit that he walked with keen spiritual insight. That is what to pray for your department head, that God Himself would give her eyes to see clearly, a mind not swayed by pressure or personal interest, and courage to stand in integrity. Only God can grant that kind of clarity.

It is also right to ask for protection. Scripture describes the Lord as a fortress and a place of strength, a shield and buckler for those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High. His truth is the shield against the attacks of the enemy, just as Jesus answered every temptation with the truth of God's Word. He delivers from the snare of the trapper, the hidden traps laid by others. You can trust that hedge of protection around those who belong to Him, and you can place your reputation, your peace of mind and your career into His hands rather than trying to defend yourself by your own striving.

At the same time, guard your own heart and mouth in this season. The Word says that whoever spreads slander is foolish, and that in a multitude of words sin is not lacking, while the wise restrain their lips. It is easy for a workplace to become filled with gossip and toxic agendas that harden hearts and corrupt what is good. Choose to let truth be your defense and to deny self, take up your cross and follow Christ, even when it would be easier to repay words with words.

Injustice is painful, and Scripture does not hide that. Paul knew what it was to suffer an injustice under a system that was supposed to be just, and no injustice compares to what Jesus endured when He was condemned though innocent. God sees every miscarriage of justice and He remains the righteous Judge. You can pray for those in authority over you, as we are instructed to pray for those who rule, and trust Him to bring truth gently to light in His timing and His way.

May the Lord keep you dwelling close to Him, cover you under His wings, and let His peace reign in your workplace. Pray that He will heal division, protect all involved from manipulation and deception, and help you to walk with honesty and grace, leaving the outcome to Him.

Father, grant to this leader true spiritual discernment that comes from You alone. Clear away confusion and give her wisdom to judge fairly. Guard this workplace from slander and strife, protect this one who prays from fear and from the need to defend himself, and help him to trust in You as his fortress and shield. Let truth prevail and let Your peace rule, in Jesus name, Amen.
