Disciple of Prayer
Thanks and praise for everyone on this platform, reading, understanding and coming forward in prayer for each other! I’m struggling with reality. Sometimes I ask myself if I am real? I don’t know why or what it means. I’m not sure if it’s just the way life has been towards me and I’ve finally stopped running because of the pain of hardship, trauma, family abuse, having learned to love abuse and ultimately the false father I used to be entwined with since being a victim (as a toddler and forward). I pray to understand is this the effect of trauma on the body having done damage to my mind, body, soul, spirit, and heart… or is it something else? Or both? “Speak Lord, for your servant is listening.” 1 Samuel 3:9

We understand that you're going through a difficult time, struggling with the reality of your experiences and the impact they've had on your life. First, we want to assure you that you are real, your experiences are valid, and God sees you and loves you deeply.

In the midst of trauma and hardship, it's common to question reality and our place in it. The pain and confusion you're experiencing could indeed be a result of the trauma you've endured, affecting your mind, body, soul, spirit, and heart. Scripture tells us that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and that we are to honor God with our bodies. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB) This includes taking care of our minds and hearts, and seeking healing for the wounds we've endured.

We must also discuss the fact that we cannot pray or ask for help without incorporating the name of Jesus Christ. The most important thing we can do as Believers is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and the importance of praying in Jesus Name. Nevertheless, in order to receive anything from God, we must pray in Jesus Name. And not only to receive things but to receive eternal life.

We are told that "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved." How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher" (Romans 10:13-14, WEB).

We are also told that "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB) and "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB).

We also need to rebuke you for your reference to the false father you referred to. The Bible says "Do you not know that he who joins himself to a prostitute is one body? For he says, 'The two will become one flesh.'" (1 Corinthians 6:16, WEB). The word prostitute in the Greek is πορνη (pornē) which can mean fornicator or immoral person. While the Bible talks about the concept of spiritual fornication with false gods and demons, you should not be involved in this. Whatever you mean by this, you should not be involved with the false father, and you must repent of all sin.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up your child who is struggling with the reality of their experiences. Lord, you are the great Healer.

We know that no one can come to the Father except through the Son. We know that there is no way to be saved except through the name of Jesus Christ. We pray that anyone who does not know Jesus as savior will be saved. We pray that the power of the Holy Spirit will come on us and convict us of sin and guide us into all truth.

We pray for healing and restoration, for your child's mind, body, soul, spirit, and heart. We rebuke any lies of the enemy that would seek to distort their reality and cause them to question their worth or existence. We speak truth over them, that they are fearfully and wonderfully made, and that you, Lord, have a purpose and a plan for their life. (Psalm 139:14, WEB)

We pray for wisdom and discernment, that they would be able to understand the root of their struggles and find freedom in you. We ask, in Jesus' name that you would break any bondage of trauma and abuse, and that you would bring healing and wholeness to their life. (Isaiah 61:1-3, WEB)

We also pray that any bonds of the false father would be broken and that you would have no contact with the false father. We pray that any sin would be revealed and repented of.

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Be encouraged, for God is with you and He will never forsake you. (Deuteronomy 31:6, WEB) He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. (Psalm 147:3, WEB) Trust in Him, and He will bring you through this. This is a challenge to work through, but remember that God is bigger than any challenge you face.

Hey there,

We've been thinking about you and your journey, and we wanted to share a few more thoughts with you. We know that life can be tough, and sometimes it feels like we're just trying to make sense of it all. We're here to walk alongside you, just like Jesus walked with his disciples.

You mentioned feeling like you're not sure if you're real, or what it means to be real. That's a heavy feeling, and we're really sorry that you're going through that. But we want you to know that you are real, and you are seen. You are not alone in this. Jesus sees you, and he loves you just the way you are.

We believe that God created each of us in His image, and that includes you. You are fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). That means you have a purpose and a plan, and God is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Even when life feels confusing or painful, God is still at work in you.

We also want to encourage you to keep seeking understanding. It's okay to ask questions and to not have all the answers right away. God meets us in our questions and our doubts. He's not afraid of them. In fact, He invites us to come as we are and to cast our cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7).

Keep talking to God, even if it's just a whisper. Keep seeking understanding, and trust that He is working in you. And remember, we're here for you too. You're not alone in this.

In Jesus' name, we pray.

Amen.

Heavenly Father, you are Jehovah Shalom, our God of Peace and we thank You for your constant companionship. We lift this person to you and request you to fill her with your Spirit of Shalom. Lord, You are the source of perfect peace, and we ask that You quiet every worry, every fear, and every anxious thought within her. We ask you to show her how beautiful she is and fill her heart with your love for her, and bring unity, joy, and blessings into her life. We ask this in Jesus’ name and ask you to allow her to walk through this period with continual thanks and praise to you. Amen. 💪♥️🌹

Articles, thank you. If you will accept clarification this is what I mean:

1.) I usually always end prayer in Jesus name. I’m not sure why I did not think of this in this one..maybe it is an SOS with deep burdensome thoughts arising to the surface, it’s a call for help because of the brokenness.

2.) the false father was put on me from a very young age. What I’m starting to go through is realizing the grave sin my “family” did to me, starting as a toddler as is revealed by the Lord Jesus Christ. I was sexually molested and worse raped in my young girlhood through an age I don’t remember. This put a huge wound in my soul and the “false father” gained ground in my soul because the “male authority figure” raped me (that is not of Christ). Do you see what I am saying? So for years I struggled with sexual immorality bc my biological mother (who also insisted on raising me and my sibling Catholic) sent me in to be sexually abused as a form of “correction” she would even leave the house and leave me unsupervised for hours with him. I remember now why I would have severe pain in my hips and below at different times in my life, and people were aware of it but never did a thing about it??? This was a sin I have greatly struggled with because my “parents” woke me up way before the time the Bible says a female should be awoken for marriage - do you get it?

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
