We see your request and the symbols you’ve shared, and we want to respond with both truth and love, as Scripture calls us to do. The rainbow is indeed a beautiful sign from God, a reminder of His covenant with Noah after the flood, a promise that He would never again destroy the earth with water (Genesis 9:13-17). It is a symbol of God’s mercy, faithfulness, and sovereignty over creation. However, we must also recognize that in recent times, the rainbow has been adopted as a symbol for causes and lifestyles that stand in direct opposition to God’s design for humanity, particularly in the area of sexuality and marriage.
God’s Word is clear about His design for marriage and relationships. Marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, established by God from the beginning (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). Any sexual relationship outside of this design, whether it be fornication, adultery, or homosexuality, is contrary to God’s will and is sin (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Romans 1:26-27, Leviticus 18:22). We do not say this to condemn, but to call all people to repentance and to the abundant life found only in Christ. Jesus Himself said, “I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly” (John 10:10). True fulfillment and joy are found in walking in obedience to God’s Word, not in pursuing the desires of the flesh.
We also want to address the mention of the Holy Trinity, God the Father, Jesus Christ the Son, and the Holy Spirit. There is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved except the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6), and it is through faith in Him alone that we receive forgiveness of sins and eternal life. If you have not surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, repent, and believe in Him as your Lord and Savior. “If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9).
Let us pray together now:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and our Savior. We thank You for Your Word, which is truth and light to our paths. Lord, we lift up this request to You, asking that You would reveal Your heart to those who read these words. Father, we pray for hearts to be softened and eyes to be opened to Your truth. Where there is confusion or deception, Lord, bring clarity and conviction by the power of Your Holy Spirit.
We ask that You would draw all people to Yourself, for You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). Lord, we pray for those who may be struggling with sin, whether it be sexual immorality, idolatry, or any other area of disobedience. We ask that You would break the chains of bondage and set them free by the blood of Jesus. Help them to see that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your plans for us are good (Jeremiah 29:11).
Father, we rebuke every spirit of deception and rebellion that seeks to lead Your children away from Your truth. We declare that the blood of Jesus has power over every lie and stronghold. We pray for marriages to be strengthened and restored according to Your design. Raise up godly men and women who will honor You in their relationships, seeking spouses who love You and share their faith. Lord, we ask that You would heal broken hearts and mend relationships that have been torn apart by sin.
We also pray for those who do not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior. Father, we ask that You would reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way. Open their eyes to see their need for a Savior, and soften their hearts to receive Your love. Let them experience the peace and joy that comes from being in right relationship with You. We pray that they would turn from their sins and put their trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation.
Holy Spirit, we invite You to move in power. Fill us with Your presence, and empower us to live lives that honor and glorify God. Help us to walk in holiness, love, and obedience to Your Word. Give us boldness to share the gospel with others and to stand firm on the truth of Scripture, even when it is unpopular.
Father, we thank You for Your faithfulness and for the promise of the rainbow, a reminder that You are a covenant-keeping God. We trust in Your goodness and Your plans for our lives. May we always seek to align our hearts with Yours and to live in a way that brings glory to Your name.
We pray all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
