We hear your heartache and longing, dear sister, and we stand with you in prayer, lifting your request to our Heavenly Father. The pain of miscarriage is deep, and we grieve with you for the children you have lost. The Lord sees your tears and collects them in His bottle (Psalm 56:8), and He promises that those who mourn will be comforted (Matthew 5:4). We trust that He will turn your sorrow into joy in His perfect timing.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Author of life and the Giver of every good and perfect gift (James 1:17). Lord, You know the desires of this sister’s heart, and You have numbered the very hairs on her head (Luke 12:7). We ask that You would bless her with not one, but two healthy baby girls, just as she has asked. May they be fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Psalm 139:14), and may they grow to love and serve You all the days of their lives. We declare that their lives will be long and full of Your purpose, and that they will walk in the plans You have ordained for them (Jeremiah 29:11).
Lord, we also pray for healing over this sister’s body, mind, and spirit. Miscarriage leaves wounds that only You can fully heal. Comfort her with Your presence, and remind her that You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Strengthen her faith as she waits on You, and help her to trust in Your goodness even when the path is unclear. We rebuke any spirit of fear or doubt that would seek to steal her hope, and we declare that her faith in You will not be shaken (Isaiah 54:17).
We also want to gently remind you, sister, that while it is natural to long for children, our ultimate trust must be in God’s sovereignty. He is the One who opens and closes the womb (Genesis 29:31, 30:22), and His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). Even if His answer is different from what we desire, we can rest in the knowledge that He works all things together for the good of those who love Him (Romans 8:28). We encourage you to continue seeking Him in this season, laying your desires at His feet and trusting that He will provide according to His will.
Lord, we also pray for this sister’s future children, that they would be raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4). May they come to know You at an early age and walk in Your ways all their days. We declare that they will be a generation that seeks Your face and serves You with wholehearted devotion (Psalm 24:6).
We stand on Your promises, Father, and we thank You in advance for the miracles You are going to perform in this sister’s life. May her testimony be one of Your faithfulness and love, and may her children be a living legacy of Your goodness. We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
